Whenever you talk about the big gains it should not mislead new gamblers with added hope of winning big. Always used to elaborate the consequences along with the big gains. Another important thing when you're getting a big gain from an offline casino, one need to be very cautious as the entire crowd will be watching you. In an article read about an incident that took place outside the casino in Philippines. Person came out carelessly after a big win, he was murdered for the money.

It really depends on your playing venue. When you play at an online casino and just brag about your winnings in the chatbox or here on a website where your identity remains anonymous, there is no excuse not to brag. Of course, it's a bit of a shower change, but nothing prevents and almost definitely no consequences. But if you're basically playing at a regular casino, then you should preserve your anonimity

Perhaps, if we talk about our winning in the chatbox, people will not believe it, and they just laugh to see that. But by doing that, I guess that people or gamblers who can win much money will not be afraid because they can send the money to another wallet without anyone can track except the owner of the gambling site. That will be more reasonable if we tell them that we already win much money than we tell the winning story in real-life because that will attract people to search how much money we win.

Its not that you can hide your identity in a casino since there are some announcements and maybe some sounds of the machine that you've won. Though in terms of online gambling, yeah, I agree with that way of talking about your gains. Give some tips if you feel generous too.

If someone will ask me about it, maybe I will share my story about big winnings, but me initiating the discussion to a friend, that doesn't look good. There are times its the topic of discussion when I am out drinking with my buddies where stories starts with "ah that noting to the amount of money that I won last week...." then followed by "thats too small compared the amount of winnings my uncle had last month..." and so on, but again thats during a drinking session. But on a serious discussion and you will brag your winnings last night, it will not sit well with your friends.

I would definitely agree on what you have pointed. I don't have the habit of sharing my winnings or loses. No one wants to know that and people will start judging you by that which will irritate you if you're not ready to take it.
Sharing your losses to others is a bit disappointing because we don't want others to know that we're losing but for some gamblers, this is just an okay thing to talk to because it can give lessons to the person you're talking with.

But I'll definitely not talk about my winnings, it's more of a private thing than your losses. I have no intention of sharing it even it's small and definitely for huge wins.

You're right about the playing venue to determine if ones can talk about his gain when or after gambling but there's nothing bad in talk about ones gain even when gambling at physical casino since the owners usually have security but there's no way a gambler can preserve anonymity when gambling in person.

people definitely want to know.
i'm actually super curious on knowing how much people make
it helps you understand more about financials and the world.
and how paycheck and reward is not always related to hard work and merit.

on being upset, there's a great teaching by marcus aurelius.
stop carrying about compliments and it'll be easier to not care about bad judgements

We cannot blame them because showing off is their blood. They know the risk, and as you said, they don't care if something happens to them. Maybe they already prepare for anything that will happen so they can have a way to prevent the bad things that might occur. But still, shows off will not be good for ourselves, and telling how much money we got from gambling is also not good. We should reduce the chances of being stolen by other bad people.
Yes some people exist in our life who belong to this category and they use to show other people that how much they achieved in life and how much they earned but we don’t even know who is waiting for people like them. People must have some personal life that no one knows about. Keeping secrets makes us safe from evil eye. Don’t tell people how much you have for the future or not to discuss your winning amount.

Someday they will regret telling other people about how much money they can get from gambling because some people don't like it if they win some money and they will prevent him from winning again. The jealousy of that person will not show in front of him, but they will use some way to steal that money. That is what might happen if we tell other people about our winning so we must keep the money for ourselves.

I still prefer not to talk about my major gambling profits because people will ruin it and easily make you lose it. I like to be cool and just tell a few people that they're so close to me that if they know later, they won't get upset. This is because people around you can have different reactions. For example, if you make a lot of money out of something they might be trying to steal it or change their opinion about you.

You are wise in this regard that we should not share about our gain with other people as no one is that much trust worthy in this world. People may take advantage of you can attack you or anything else so why to create danger for yourself. We should remain careful and specially in public its not good to talk with them about how much you have from gambling.

What's good about it?
People would just think that you are bragging about it and most of the time they would just ask for a treat to celebrate.
And also people would be envious about it and sometimes starta bad story about you being addicted to gambling,
So for me there is nothing to gain for talking about your big gains.

Some people would do that because they want to show off among the other people so they will know that a person can win a lot of money. But if he realizes that, that will only trigger to bad people to try to steal his money, and he will be in danger. We should keep that win in secret and don't tell other people if we don't want to be the next target of the victim. By keeping that, we can save that money from the bad people who want to steal our money, and we can give that money to our family too.

given that they do that to show off ,they will not care what will happen to them next . people that like to show off are people have guts and not scared . they already aware about the risk , the risk of being robbed but they still go ahead to  brag , brag and brag as much as they can . let them be . its sad that these kind of people werent oftenly get robbed but the ones that got robbed are the good people that are silent about thier lives

but i think OP is talking about Big Gains or wins as jackpot?because there is no way we can risk our lives with 400$ winning.

if we get the Lottery jackpot then for sure we must keep silent even in our own family, just act normal first and set things first before letting them know how much you have won.
We must keep our mouth shut, many people will have an interest on the money that we are earning it could risk our life. Having a low key life even we are winning will be our most priority above all. Also, I dont want to make somebody elses feels sad because they did not as lucky as I am.
and that will lead to greediness when people keeps thinking they are not lucky as we are,so it is better shutting our mouth in this kind of situation and besides instead of telling them your story why not Make some good moves that will help them in some good ways.

Like Hosting a raffle in your place that you will pretend that the prizes are from sponsors but the truth is you will shoulder all the expenses, isn't it much better of Tipping them than telling story about your winnings?
We must not talk about our big gains. The reason behind it is more or less the same as explained earlier. Most of the people think that you are trying to show off what you have earned. It is also possible that you become a suspect of an evil eye. So to keep yourself distanced from all these, one must not indulge in such activities of sharing their victories with others.
If someone is thinking that you are doing show off and while you are not doing this then do not care for these people and do not change your life mode because of these people while your other point is logical that someone may harm you if they will see that you have a huge gain. If they are in your local area then they may rob you or if they are online then they can do hack attempts on your PC etc. While if you keep your identity hidden then there are chances that no one can harm you.

This is what seems right to me, people get so excited when they win they have no problem sharing all kind of details about the profits they have got, the problem is that you do not really know who may be hearing that information, most likely nothing will happen, but why risk it? It is better to remain silent about it that way there is zero chance that information is going to be used against you in the future, I know this could steal some of the fun of the game for some but it is necessary if you want to avoid unnecessary problems.

For $400, I don't think that would put your life in danger unless you are living in a country where the poverty rate is high and that amount is so huge.
That amount in my country can be earn through their salary so even if you brag that amount, you'll not get harm.
Maybe around $10,000 or more, that would already put your life in danger.

Well I don't think the issue here is about putting your life in danger but instead making others feel awful about their own life. When you win big just keep it to yourself and enjoy your gain then bragging about it to others, it can cause depression then lead to suicide. Making others feel bad about themselves when you achieve something big in your life shouldn't be a way of life instead be more supportive and give more to charity.
do you think if you win Millions of dollars in one game(example lottery)this will not become a danger to your life?

people will look after you and family to get a chance grabbing your winning, and for sure you will be having hard time on that.

better keep silent or put your life in danger, thats it.

Sometimes is best to be quite and enjoy things alone instead of  broadcasting things like this as it can bring your name to something bad. It's possible that people can misinterpret you instead of seeing the best part of your story they will find the other side, enjoy your winnings and live your day like you never used to find time to celebrate instead of sharing it to anyone.
Indeed, because I am afraid that something else might happen, I am afraid that other people  will steal my money and make some bad motive to me. We should be silent and lowkey to avoid any problem. If we want to help others talk to them in private and you may still help others even you will not talk about your big gains.

Same here.

It is better to have a private life to have a happy life, we could avoid judgment of other people even though they don't really know that it's like to wear your shoes, and the one that you have said, we could secure ourselves from bad people who have dark intents about stealing our fortune. Last but not the least, you could still be happy even though you will not boast to everybody about your big gains, be quite and enjoy the blessing, because if it is goes out of hand, there will be a lot of people that is going to ask "how did you do that?" and if you won't give them answers, they will start spreading bad rumors about you.
