if we get the Lottery jackpot then for sure we must keep silent even in our own family, just act normal first and set things first before letting them know how much you have won.

Not sure about our own family, but we must definitely keep silent with strangers and people we know little of, when we really win big. Although it's not that easy to do, we must think first about our safety and protection of those close to us.
good enough reason to hide with strangers mate, and also that is a big task because we are overjoyed that moment and for sure we can hardly close our mouth about telling every people we interact each moment, but if we are thinking about the safeties of our friends and love ones?for sure we will do anything to keep the silence for time being .

I won 0.175 BTC once in a poker tournament, more than 2 years ago, and I think there's no one left among the people I know, who didn't hear this story from me at least once. Smiley But hardly it was an amount sufficient to put one in danger if he/she talked about winning it (around $400 at the time of winning). Of course I agree with the OP on that if someone can't stop bragging about winning really big, you are putting your life and the lives of your close ones in danger. Winning big money should be enough to satisfy your ego. Don't be greedy for another satisfaction in the form of admiration by the people you know.

you won it offline or offline ? the amount was decent but not that huge for such a tournament . btc price before were also cheap ( before 2017 bull run )  . small or huge amount , you wouldnt know if whats running in the mind of the people that listen's to you when you share this story  .  desperate people can do harm to others not just by greed or wanting to have that money but also if he is jelous enough  .  we still need to keep private when  it comes to winning and money matters  .

I won it in an online poker tournament, 1 BTC Guaranteed, taking the 3rd place, with 5 places paid. I've never won that big since then, and that's why I tell about it to everyone who listens. Smiley

For $400, I don't think that would put your life in danger unless you are living in a country where poverty poverty rate is high and that amount is so huge.
That amount in my country can be earn through their salary so even if you brag that amount, you'll not get harm.
Maybe around $10,000 or more, that would already put your life in danger.

That's right, it depends on the country, and also on the particular place you are living in. I'm pretty sure you can get killed even for a lesser amount than $400 in poor regions, but not in a city where many people earn more than that monthly.

It’s not good to talk with strangers about our big gains as they can give us a harmful effect. If you have some close friends only then you should share about it as maybe they will give you suggestions but not in public place being gambler people will have to remain so reserved and always keep secrets about your earning from unknown people, there are so many people who remain in search of such people to attack them.

I would be cautious about the so called "close friends" as well. It's a common thing when people treat some others as their close friends while those guys are not. And the time we see that they are far from being our friends is usually the worst possible time. What valuable suggestions they can give you, really? Think of it. Aren't you tempted to tell them, because, in fact, you want to brag about your big win? Don't do that, for your own safety.

What's good about it?
People would just think that you are bragging about it and most of the time they would just ask for a treat to celebrate.
And also people would be envious about it and sometimes starta bad story about you being addicted to gambling,
So for me there is nothing to gain for talking about your big gains.

Some people would do that because they want to show off among the other people so they will know that a person can win a lot of money. But if he realizes that, that will only trigger to bad people to try to steal his money, and he will be in danger. We should keep that win in secret and don't tell other people if we don't want to be the next target of the victim. By keeping that, we can save that money from the bad people who want to steal our money, and we can give that money to our family too.

given that they do that to show off ,they will not care what will happen to them next . people that like to show off are people have guts and not scared . they already aware about the risk , the risk of being robbed but they still go ahead to  brag , brag and brag as much as they can . let them be . its sad that these kind of people werent oftenly get robbed but the ones that got robbed are the good people that are silent about thier lives

Incase or if Im really going to win a  big or a lot of money in the gambling maybe I will tell to my family and friends about how much my winnnings but for the other people. For sure for the others they keep silent for their security which is actually good. But depends if a player win in online gambling for sure it will be anonymous but if you win traditonal gambling they have others for sure they see what you win even it's small amount of money or big. A lot of us wants to win big money in gambling but that also high risk because you can lost more money in the gamblinh if you wanted to win huge amount but depends on you if you a risk taker.
yeah some people for their security do not tell to other people about their winnings in gambling they are especially in those countries where it is banned by the states or the family members of that person do not think it is better to play gambling for him but they can tell to other gamblers in online chats or on forums to tell others how much they earn and how they get that winnings so train others.

But still, for some people who live in the poverty rate is high will be dangerous as you say. $400 is not too small or not too big to tell to other people but it still better to keep it for ourselves so no one will know about that. If we want, we can share that win money to other people who needed, and maybe we can also celebrate with family and friends too.
Whatever you earn is yours and as far as money is concerned, nobody becomes happy for you in game because everyone is competing against you. You better share gambling tips instead of the money amount that you won. Sharing it with your family is going to make them happy as they have are the ones who are always standing by you in hard times. Moreover I would personally like sharing it with poor ones as well because it gives satisfaction.

Sharing the tips will be better, so they don't ask about how much money we won but sometimes they will curious about that, and they will ask us. But for me, I think that will be my secret, and I won't let other people know how much money I won. I will share the money I won to the family, and that is something that I always did before. I always want to give them to them because I want to let them know that I can earn money. But so far, I don't win so much money. I share my money from my other income instead of from gambling.

I don't think it's gonna be a problem if you talk about your big gains to your friends or your family, but usually I don't talk a lot about that. If I really earn big, I just chill with it and I just tell them after a period of time, but sometimes I tell my close friends just after I win.

It depends on how big your gains were, people love to talk and even if you share the story of how you got that money and you ask them to keep it a secret they are going to eventually talk and since you never know who is listening, inadvertently your secret may be leak out to bad people that may try to steal those profits for you, it is better to not let anyone know about it and if you are asked about the topic just lie about it and do not reveal the source of those unexpected profits.
Sometimes if we are too happy for having huge gains we cant refrain ourselves to talk to others on how we accumulate it and sharing the experience. Well its fine to talk about how you got your money or how much it is but choose the person you're going to share it with like your family.
Yes you are right  It’s ok to talk with people about profit because it will make other people encourage but don't share with unknown people as it can be harmful to you. Share with your family and to an outsider just show as you have nothing with you because this world is so cruel and is not trustworthy.

We must keep our mouth shut, many people will have an interest on the money that we are earning it could risk our life. Having a low key life even we are winning will be our most priority above all. Also, I dont want to make somebody elses feels sad because they did not as lucky as I am.

Even that $400 is huge for some people so with complete stranger we don't have to share our financial status not only in gambling but its better to keep silent at all the situation and grow as someone who never can't be touched with anyone
