Bitcoin loses its value, because the value of the price drops and the one who thinks bitcoin will die. But that's not because there are still many bitcoin users who are convinced that bitcoin will not lose its value.
It is extremely possible for BTC to lose its value. It is sad but true. We need to do everything in our power to make sure this continues. Once demand and security goes down bitcoin has lost its meaning. Satoshi is a genius who knew that this system would depend upon cooperatiom and both instability and stability.
Satoshi is indeed one great man , he invented something beneficial to everyone that can't control by only one. We have our own access and freedom on using it without government rules and any authorities. Btc will never lose its value.

Bitcoin could only lose its value only if there is no one ready to buy bitcoins.But we could see that bitcoin is being legalized in many countries.As a result of it,mass adoption of bitcoins is taking place all over the world.People have started to buy it as an investment just like gold.So,we could see its price steadily increasing and now its price is around $2727.So,i don't think that bitcoin would lose its value in today's situation.
It can happen because any thing is possible given what is happening to the world nowadays but considering the power of technology, it's highly unlikely. Bitcoin is slowly reaching the masses that's why its value is rising significantly due to the demand so for it to lose value would be near to impossible.
What a joke it is slowly reaching? are you serious you should need to go to visit bitcoin markets. There are some website which can improve your knowledge about bitcoin. on net there are best websites where you can see the daily rates of bitcoin. Then you will know the answer that bitcoin is going very high or very low. So i hope you got it by this.

Bitcoin lost %80 of its value after the GoX crash in late 2013. People panic sold their coins in despair. The price fell from over 1k$ to as low as 200$ in time. The recovery took very long time but those who hold their coins won the jackpot. Even the top buyers made at east %100 profits since then.
Can bitcoin lose its value? Yes. Only for a time.
In the long run, there will be a recovery as always.
The Solution: If you won't be able to deal with the pain of holding bitcoins for long years, only hold the amount you can afford to lose.
Well, this is informative. I'm also new here and know a bit about BTC. Correct me if I'm wrong. BTC price depends on how many people are using it. So, basically when nobody buys bitcoin or uses it, does it mean that it's value decreases?

I think the only way I can see that bitcoin can lose its value is in terms of dumps. Yes it is true that bitcoin can lose its value through dump because its value is down but not that long and it is not that permanent. It is just a normal phenomenon in the marjet that is why bitcoin's price is dumping. But nothing more, nothing less I cannot see any other reasons to state that bitcoin will lose its value because bitcoin can be accessed and generated through the modern technology with the use of internet. So as technology innovates, bitcoin's price is really capable to rise added by the number of consumers demands that is why it cannot just lose its value that easy as long as there are people supporting it, it will never lose its value. Like the real currency is always facing the inflation makes it devalued.
It's the supply and the demand of the market that we're always relying
Pumps and dumps will just in the corner so bitcoin will not stabilize.

Bitcoin is unstable and its only natural for that to happen. So i prepared myself for the worse , i converted all my bitcoins into my country's currency. Its too risky to wait for august 1 because there arent any signs if it will decrease or increase in price.
yes i agree on that .i think if its value is lost maybe it is loos already by the past 8 years but until now it has a big value and it is continue increasing .that was the one of the point.that i dont believe that bitcoin loos its value.

I don't think bitcoin will lose its value dramatically. There will be only slight price changes for bitcoin in near future, not affecting the whole future.

There are many things that can cause bitcoin to lose its pride.
One is that, when there is another cryptocurrency, that is more famous and more affordable with high price if converted to real life, will rise and surpass bitcoin. Another is if bitcoin operator can't hold the stability of bitcoin as currency.
These are my thoughts about the things that may cause bitcoin to collapse and lose its value.

I dont think so that it will loose ita value. Maybe it will dump but not as worst as it will loose its value. But if this happen we must not panic because everything will be in normal again. We all know that it has a non-stable price so it is surely possible.

Anything can be possible such that thing. Yes it is do really possible that bitcoin can somewhat lose its value due to dumps that drop its price value making the count of money in terms of bitcoin got low. But we must not worry about it because dump is not a permanent scenario that is happening in the market. There is also pump to regain its initial value or the best thing is that it can surpass its initial value leading to its higher price value which has an effect to have a great count of money in exchange. But I really think that it wouldn't happen in a couple of year but who know's maybe there would be a coin that would be created soon .
Unstable bitcoin prices. It is a familiar thing. The increase of bitcoin depends on the demand. But after I see this time people are getting a lot of interested in investing in bitcoin. This will make the bitcoin value higher. I think the fall in bitcoin prices is just normal. And this happens when there are technical issues that need to be fixed. This will not last long. Because after repair bitcoin will increase again
Indeed bitcoins have managed to attract huge number of fans across the globe in last couple of years. The downfall in price can be exhibited by bitcoins but it’s not wise to imagine that bitcoins will lose value. There is no other coin of same potential. Bitcoins supporters and especially benefiters will never let it decrease in value. I would say that it will not happen again, as you see it is now getting closer to 1 august that has been much discussed in this community if will there is a possibility the price will fall, but we can see now the price remains stable at $2700.Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.
The stability of the moment makes me nervous. It is very difficult for me to predict its future in the near future. Too many altcoin are discounted due to the impact of bitcoin, it is causing huge damage.
