if buying a currency under 100 crypto the best risk is very big, indeed if an ICO
one currency that does not directly into the 100 best we will definitely invest there,
so the risk is that the project could be very good or seblik it fake or scame

It's risky to buy even those coins that are included in this top. Since we don't know what awaits us tomorrow. But if you came to the cryptocurrency you already took a risk.

Hey what do you think, is it risky to buy crypto currencies that are not top 100? I mean do you have a higher chance to lose your money or not?

This is more risky than buying coins from the top 30 for example.
Because in the top 30 there is an active trade and a price increase.
The coins that are traded are not actively added to the price, and even worse can be the delisted from exchanges, then their price decreases at times.

Yes it is very risky, if you are not invest in top 100 crypto currencies of this market because there are many scam coins in this market. If you don't want to lose your money then you can always invest your money in top 10 already established coins of this market.

I don't think that cap really means a lot, and I'm sure that it certainly doesn't mean that a coin with a high cap is definitely not a scam.
I would recommend everyone who is really interested in investing to check this article: https://crypto.bi/tape/blog/market-caps/
It clearly explains why most cryptocurrency market cap is fake, and it really has tought me a lot.

yes it is, but every investment in cryptocurrency is a risk. but if you find an altcoin which has a bright future, and you fully believe on it. you can try to buy it and take the risk, who knows maybe one day, that coin will become the lucky coin that will give you much profit.
I dont think that not top 100 rank marketcap always have higher risk then top 100 marketcap.
Sometime the project which just started has good idea and team and it can lead them to gain success. And the top 100 coin can be more risky. In this case, all is depending on the project itslef not the rank but sometime we use rank as reference of successfully so we choose from top rank and its normal.

It is very risky that you go that far down to buy coins, looking that far down means that you are looking into the territory of scamcoins which although they can end up making you a lot of money, they run a higher risk of the project crashing, creators taking out their money and running off. So when you decide to invest on those coins, familiarize yourself with the risks

Everything is life is risk, buying a token which is not top 100 does not guarantee you loose your token, tokens outside the 100 range can be the future bitcoin or ethereum

Relatively safe. But this is relative to many garbage projects. The top 100 have already demonstrated that these projects are very successful, otherwise they will not have such a great degree of recognition. At the same time, it is recommended that you consider new projects, quality teams and available functional concepts. Take a look at usechain, which is being promoted.
There were two coins in the past, Bitconnect and Regalcoin, all in the top 100 in terms of volume, but now we will not find the names of the two coin in the top 1000.

It is always risky to by currencies from top-100 also Wink
There were times when bitcoin was out of top. Just cuz there was no top, only bitcoin. And many people(I mean not many among all, many among those who knew about it in 2009-2011, imo) thought that this is risky to buy this electronic cash. Now they feel themselves much better Wink
So yeah, it is risky, but think about what you can get

I do not see it that way, because there are times you buy from the top 100, yet if you are not careful, you may loose part of your investment. I invest in altcoins that are not on top 100, yet i make my profit. I have also invest from those on top 100, presently i am a loss. Although, i do not know what would happen if i continue to hold. The best thing to do is analyze the coin as well as the situation of the market before investing.

it is very risky not to buy from the top 100 crypto currencies, the crypto currency itself is all about risk because of the volatility of the market. however the risk is not only limited to the not top 100 but to other altcoins in general as that is the technolojy it all works on. thanks

Typically, those that are not top 100 are much more risky, but on the other hand you should not judge them for that, but for their team, project and technology.

Nothing to do with top 100 or not but you need to look at the project features and which team or person behind the project. Because at the beginning most of the projects will not be in top position but it takes time to gain the attention from investors. So if you recognise the project potential much early then you can make a lot for the money. If you can't research for some reason then always good to go with top few coins, not top 100 coins.
You're right. There are a lot of coin not on the top 100 coin list as they have a great development team. We should rank the coin by the development team rather than the transaction volume in 24h

I do not agree that you can lose your money if you did not invest in top 100 coins because there are some coins that are not in top 100 and they are performing well in market. I don't see top 100 as the yardstick for investment.

I think not, because if we are lucky instead we will get a big profit if the price increases high.

Yes it's risky, 10 times more risky than the top 100.
But the profit is 100 times more than top 100 if you choosed a good coins.
Bigger the risk, bigger the profit. nuff said.
