I don't think so, top 100 list just a high marketcap coins, not guarantee is a potential crypto currencies , such as bitconnect, top 20 crypto and finally become scam coins. There’s a lot of hype with cryptos because most investor do not know what they’re investing in, they don't do their own research and just want free money, so some " hidden gem " not in top 100 list, but have potential to become top 100 crypto currencies, but you need to find them out  Smiley

Hey what do you think, is it risky to buy crypto currencies that are not top 100? I mean do you have a higher chance to lose your money or not?
yes it is, but every investment in cryptocurrency is a risk. but if you find an altcoin which has a bright future, and you fully believe on it. you can try to buy it and take the risk, who knows maybe one day, that coin will become the lucky coin that will give you much profit.

Coins out of top 100 are still more risky to buy then those which are in. But still you can try, if you are sure it is a successful project, price can rise and you will be rewarded. But as for me, I would recommend just to search deeper in top 100, there are plenty of good projects.

Even from a top 100 is risky to buy a coins. Same the cryptocurrency - here isn't present stability. In it there are pluses and minuses!

if you spend money on it, which you do not really need, the risk factor is absolutely absent. forecasts and assumptions in cryptocurrency is the most subjective thing

I am telling the coin below the top 100, is where the real value are, if one can find time and research them one would be smiling in some month time, there is no denying that top cap coins are more stable and less volatile but for up and coming investors one need a project that have high potential for growth to invest into

Even buying the top 100 coins is risky as well. Now this is the magic how coins attain first 100 its not necessarily because the project is good its solely dependent on the projects market cap. So good projects are still below the first 100 and u can find such gems.
true good coins that you can actuay have some good profit yoo are on top 100 but this is too many so atleast on this level of buying try to have some choices on this coin.

In my opinion I think no matter it is top 100 or not it's always risky to invest in this market. But I believe that we're in early stage of this market and personally I believe in the future crypto will be truly 'a thing'. But I would say that investing in top 100 project would be like few percentages safer rather than not a top 100 coin / token. Still, at last it's the community / marketcap who decide that.

Its definitely a lot riskier than investing in the main coins which builds the fundamentals of the market. But still, picking up projects that are fairly new, are hyped and have a strong community behind them could be very profitable and not as risky as investing in some random coins out of the top 100.

Zencash, for example, is not in the TOP on coinmarkercap, but the crypto really worth to look at. If you want to avoid a risk then I would say you're safe.
So, it's a perfect example to show you that some altcoins are not in the TOP 100 but some are a good project

The more risks, the greater the profit. Investing in crypto currency is already a risky act, so if you are confident in your choice, buy.

No, there is no risk involved until you invest your money in the right coin. There are many coins which are under valued and not recognized by users, hence remain undiscovered but this does not mean that they will never shine. Every coin struggles to come in the list of top 100 at some point but once it is start  accepting by traders its value skyrockets. The only thing you need to ensure while investing in these coins is there future in the coming months and how the team focus on the development of coin to make it in the list of top 100 crypto currencies.

It's really a hard question.I think rank of crypto does not matter. You have to know where you invest your money that's it.When  anew crypto coming they got a rank 100+ most of te time but after some time we can see where he really belong..when wanchain first hit the market its rank almost 200 now see wanchain. So rank doesnot matter what matter is how strong the projecct is.And if project is strong then its never risky. And if you dont want to take any risk i think first 20 or 10 coins are good.

Do not worry, and there are many potential Altcoins not in the top 100. But if you buy Altcoin in the top 100, you still can run the risk. Currently, I own a number Altcoin not top 100 CMC, but all Altcoin have doubled the rate.
Exactly, the rank of the crypto doesn't matter a lot in the crypto world. You can find a lot of crypto which they classed more than 200 and have a huge potential and you can make a lot of money if you invest in them. I think good trader can make the best choice and risk to invest in unknown crypto which they increase later and make them rich.

Come on, the most profitable thing in crypto is investing in ICOs, and none of ICO coins are on CMC at all during a tokensale, leave alone any top-s. So I wouldn't care much about it. Follow this:
1. If a coin is in top on CMC, it has a high cap.
2. If a coin has a high cap, it's less volatile.
3. If a coin is less volatile, it's less likely to get a huge profit from it.

Of course, volatility = risk. But you'll never get any huge earnings from just simple BTC or ETH holding. Unless you invest millions of dollars, so don't be afraid to join less known projects you believe in, and don't forget to diversify.

Hey what do you think, is it risky to buy crypto currencies that are not top 100? I mean do you have a higher chance to lose your money or not?
Yes it is a high risk or higher chance that you may lose your money  if you pick under top 100 altcoin. But if you pic the right one, it is very rewarding. But I highly suggest to pick on top 50 because even if you pick a top 100 altcoin it is not an assurance that you will get  a profit in the end.
Generally, if a person has the opportunity and not only to buy so many coins, but also to control all these projects, then a very good result is possible. After all, the fact is that you can not uniquely store or invest your funds in one or two directions.
Top 100 in altcoin is lowered risk compared to another altcoin not in the 100 top list on altcoins, but in general, not all of these are profitable. I considered in my self that altcoin, not in top 10 lists on marketcap was nothing and if ever there's a 1 coin from to 100 will pump up I'm sure after a month it will go down. I personally experienced on that holding coins from bounty reward after a month coin is in top 100 lists in marketcap but later on it becomes shitcoin.

It is risky to buy any cryptocurrency. But at the same time we know that risk is everywhere. I am not spend big sums of money on coins that are not in top 10. But some new fresh coins makes a lot of interest in my soul and I buy them.
