I'd love to get my hands on these spammers for making me wait. Our planet probably has the best network security or restrictions to circumvent security issues, in the galaxy. I wonder if aliens have problems with spammers, hoaxsters, scammers etc.... 
I've been reading the forums for ages but ive only decided to sign up now, it seems like the longest wait ever to get out of this newbie status. Saying that it's made me browse the other sections that ive never really read as i mainly read the mining section.
I dont think its horrible. It's given me time to read up on the threads on this forum. Over all win win.

It's not too bad. I've seen a couple of other forums get totally destroyed by spambots, so this is better than that alternative.
However, the quality of everyone's first five posts is probably pretty low.

Also, it's an absolutely terrible and indefensible method of spam prevention. I've outlined why in one of the first few pages of this thread.

It's not hard to get the posts, obviously, but since the time counter only tracks active browsing or whatever- I hardly accumulate anything because I'm constantly switching between other browsing windows and applications and then the timer stops. (Even if I'm reading bitcoin forum on other monitor, the window is not active)
