PayPal was built to actually prevent scam on services like eBay.
That's why it allows charge back.
Now its popularity is not as big as its growth so it charges quite a lot and do dirty tricks to squeeze more money from you (currency exchange).

While I would advise everybody to be cautious when using PayPal, it would be wrong to say that they scam.
But while they don't care to understand cryptocurrency, they provide a great tool for scammers.

I have a good relationship with paypal Grin.  I never encounter a problem with every transaction that I made with it.  It is widely used so it would be hard to believe that it is a scam.  I usually exchange my funds earned online to bitcoin using my bitcoin wallet.  It would be good if bitcoin would have a partnership with paypal, it would be easier for me to transfer funds.  Just ask someone from their website and seek help.

I have no problem with paypal services.  Most of my earnings through paying applications was paid directly to my paypal account and since then never encountered a problem.  I can transfer my funds and pay my friends without any fees.  Maybe you have violated some of their rules.  Perhaps you should try to contact them through their email or chat support.

Maybe you haven't deal with someone that has the intention to scam you.
if one day you can you will understand why the rest of the people avoid using paypal specially the sellers on ebay. its going to be on of the horror stories for you  Grin

its not that you should avoid paypal, you still can use it on legit ecommerce site such as amazon. its always a useful tool t have it still.
You however have to chose when its time to use it. I use my paypal when buying on some trusted sites like godaddy for some cheap domains.

it's not that paypal is scamming people since they have a lot to lose. however, they work with ridiculous policies that gives them (according to paypal) reason to put your funds on hold for whatever reason. even when you haven't done anything illegal. that's why i don't use paypal. i am happy bitcoin came into my life.

That means that their security is strong and not easy to bypass, I think you will not have problem if you just follow their rules and policy and I object to the people who complained that they have some issue on paypal without doing anything that illegal. I think there's a story behind that.

That is exactly what I don't like about Paypal. If they think they have a reason they seize your assets or freeze your accounts. A business with a huge turnover should only act upon facts and not if they think they may have some reason.

Reality check, there is not such thing as 100% certainty or 'facts', especially when the customer is a complete stranger that they've never met in person, operating from god knows where in the world doing god knows what. The best they can do is put a hold on transactions and investigate if they suspect foul play or criminal activity. That's the way the world has always been, sometimes innocent people get caught in the net but there's nothing that can be done about that, the world/system is not perfect.

PayPal is a multi billion dollar company that has its roots spreaded throughout most countries in the world.

It would be a very stupid thing for them to start scamming for low ball amounts since they make enough profits to satisfy their share holders.

PayPal is a regulated service and they have a lot of restrictions to prevent any kind of money laundering or stealing. I believe you did not follow their rules that's why your account is limited

People will complain on anything just to get some attention, but such big service as PayPal is probably have many users, and problems are part of every business, they have workers for solving that problems. I also don`t think they will lock accounts with no reason, that can harm their business, there is no logic in that.
Its internet service, and everyone here knows how many scammers there is on internet. I`m not surprised with stories like this one, people generally have problems with banks and fiat money. Like someone said, exchange you money into bitcoin and enjoy my friend.

PayPal is not a scam. It's a business that has policies in place due to people using the service to attempt to scam. You can read that as "it's a business that enforces certain policies to protect itself." People confuse that with scamming, which it's not because they tell you exactly what you can expect in their TOS, which I'm assuming no one reads.

I also feel that paypal is not a spam, but due to security processes owned paypal makes many people become confused, and eventually people began to think that paypal is something scam. but if they really know the workings of paypal, I think it would be easy for them to use paypal.

There are several reasons not to trust Paypal:
1. People having their funds locked without being told why
2. Them generally being suspicious about earnings from Bitcoin
3. Often locked accounts until ID is proven
4. Poor customer service in regards to this kind of thing

Stay away!

Many thinks paypal scaming them with locking their account but i think they are actually trying to be in safer side in legal aspect. However i think they actually rob peoples charging high fees for even small transaction size.

Paypal is a reputable company.
But they are a huge company, and you have to agree to their terms if you want to use their service.
They are going to do everything by the book, so they may freeze accounts or seize assets if they think they have a reason to.
I had some situations with Paypal years ago (close to ten years ago now) and by calling and talking to the customer service and working with them,
I was able to get my account restored.

That is exactly what I don't like about Paypal. If they think they have a reason they seize your assets or freeze your accounts. A business with a huge turnover should only act upon facts and not if they think they may have some reason. They have lost a lot of customers, one of them being me and I have switched to other payment processors.

In fact if you check their facebook page it looks like they are trying a desperate move to get many customers from India which they have until now restricted big time by not letting sending payment to them in some circumstances.

was there a problem with the funds you are holding in paypal, they have one of the worst rules regarding holding of funds and fund reversals if there is a dispute and so on and it would take ages to get a settlement from them, other than that i have not heard about a scam from paypal, they have closed accounts and freezed accounts before without any prior warning if they think that the funds are accumulated through illegal transactions. (pirated sites and stuff)
