No one can guarantee the future of altcoins. But polkadot has a huge market cap and many investors like DOT so it may do well in the future. so those who can afford to take risk can invest here without any problem. I also support the DOT which may do well in the future but cannot guarantee it. so if you invest here you have to take risk and the best way of investment is to follow DCA method. Then the risk will be reduced a lot and big profit will be available

This token price increase many time so if you want buy cheaper price then you can do now because a good amount of time will pass between planning when to buy so the best coins to buy should be anytime. Polka dot has really underperformed, with so much hype built around it and the china backing it has failed to deliver any substance, most people can't name any Polka dot based exchange, talkless of mentioning Polka-dot ecosystem projects, to me the window of opportunity for them is closing with all these new L2's coming to market now, I can see them eating into the user base of all these high valued L1 with almost no users in the bull market

DOT was one of my favorite project in the last bull market but their business model was so bad that it let few project grow in the ecosystem. It makes the whole ecosystem something like limited company where few choose one can work on. Their recent announcement shows they are working on this and their new business model will let them have more project than before. Even the smaller one can grow in their ecosystem. They still have really good project like moonbeam, kusama, CFG, acala and many more. Though I don't have much expectation about it's price growth but their technology is really good and the only layer0 project that I think worth mentioning.

Polkadot is About to "Fundamentally Change," Said Web3 Foundation's New CEO
Polkadot is about to drop parachain's slot auctions for a new mechanism that allows application developers to rent block space as needed.
Polkadot is about to undergo a major shift, Fabian Gompf, Web3 Foundation's new chief executive officer said in an interview.

Polkadot's parachain system, "will fundamentally change at the end of this year, beginning of next year," Gompf told The Defiant in the first interview he's done since becoming CEO.

The upgrade "allows to allocate block space, allocate the resources of parachains, to whatever you can code on top of them," he said.

The latest estimates provided on the Polkadot governance forum have the upgrade, called Agile Coretime, launching on the Rococo testnet by the end of the year, with deployment on Kusama by Q1 and finally a mainnet launch on Polkadot on Q2.

Yeh its absolutely right that polkadot is good for future because we know that his concept is same like ethereum and you can observe his price pumping from his launching it bullish too quickly now its price is around 34$ which is quite cheaper if you buy dot and hold it I am sure that it will easily hit 100+$ so keep eye on dot.

Personally, I have both. Eth and DOT
The fundamentals and use cases are pretty good. It's also good to see some credible Dapps built on it.
Polkadot is a good project but DOT is still a bit difficult for newcomers to interact with
and I think that might be a reason for the low interest (compared to Eth)

Buying DOT now is like buying ETH when it was just 100$. However, with the rather little budge you've got for this, what I would do is invest in Dot related project, they're equally mooning hard as DOT itself.

Potential Polkadot based project to look into; Unido (UDO), Bondly finance, DYOR and see what's best to HODL.

Transaction speed and low fees are not the main benchmarks for determining the future of a project, the possibility of future growth
depends on various factors: announcements, new technological solutions of the project, crypto environment in general, legal position, and so on

I am very optimistic about Polkadot. It is said to be a strong competitor to Ethereum in the future. As it will not be an ordinary Blockchain. It will provide other Blockchains and projects with the opportunity to launch without overspending on their own Blockchain.
I follow many crypto experts and all of them invest in. Polkadot now. Also they participate in auctions of Parachains.
