I am very optimistic about Polkadot. It is said to be a strong competitor to Ethereum in the future. As it will not be an ordinary Blockchain. It will provide other Blockchains and projects with the opportunity to launch without overspending on their own Blockchain.

Seeing that the Polkadot coin lie-low this past few months even there's a short bullish happening, I think its really a good opportunity to buy and accumulate DOT now and hodl it long term because Polkadot is for one of the best competitor for ETH and there is a high possibility that it can out perform Ethereum in the future.

The reasons you say are true, but that is not the only reason to keep choosing Polkadot in the long term because anything is still very possible in the crypto space, because no human being is able to see the future of a coin and how it will be in the future.

DOT reached almost 50$ price in USDT pair at the peak time and dropped more than 75% in the dump but it has recovered after that and now cruising at 21-22$ price.

From January Polkadot continues to improve, and I don't afraid to buy more, although a few days down but this is what I'm waiting for because I can buy cheaply, I'm sure this year the price of Polkadot can reach $100.

I won't call it the formidable if it's just about the competition for Ethereum.There are other coins that can be called as that and one is BNB which is known to most of us.
If you are going to ask me, I think that Polkadot is a good coin and a formidable competitor to Ethereum. Right now, some projects are choosing Polkadot over Ethereum because of the High fees that ethereum currently has which is not really a good one for dealing with microtransactions. Unless Ethereum 2.0 will happen, Ethereum will remain a rich man's crypto and this is not good for the common masses who invest minimally with cryptocurrency. I think Ethereum needs to catch up before they lose influence in the crypto markets.
I am very bullish on Polkadot, and let's also not forget its 'canary-chain' Kusama, which I think is just a brilliant idea conceptually.
