It depends in what country you are located and the type of business that you are running, I suppose that a business located in a first world country and that sells technology could have a huge market to receive payments in cryptocurrencies since they are probably bitcoin holders themselves, in fact the few people that I know that accepts cryptocurrencies as payments are businesses owners like that. it seems that if for a new player and small capital for a small business it will not be too influential and will not look too much profit you can get.
If a smaller business come to adopt crypto then they will get some more free advertisement as the crypto will announce about them and people who will be the community of that coin will then use that service so it is beneficial for these small business if they sell their services for crypto.

The few numbers of person know or understand the about the bitcoin. There is nothing wrong about the business crypto. I think the proper motivation for business crypto is; you can amaze to the value of crypto, you can do anything, be a positive thinker, You can be a celebrity on the future, you are preparing to the success. Your hard work for something the higher you will feel when you achieve it. 
Not enough vendors yet, especially smaller ones are educated enough to accept crypto currencies or Bitcoin. We need to get more easier ways for small vendors to accept and exchange Bitcoin and other altcoins. PUNDI X is trying to accomplish just that but it will take a year or two before their roll out plans are mass implemented but when this comes out, then it will be easier for smaller vendors to take on crypto currencies.
Big businesses yes, small business i do not think so. Selling through cryptocurrency has many flows, and if your only running a small business you'll have a hard time.

It is because most or all of the good you are selling is paid with fiat and if you sell it for bitcoin or any other cryotocurrency then there is a chance that instead of having profits, you will end up at a loss because of fluctuating prices. If ever you decide to sell it for crypto then you need to convert it immediately to fiat so that you can have realized profit and be safe of the fluctuating price. Maybe someday when the price is stable and more merchants would offer to sell their goods for crypto then you can move forward and account your profits as crypto instead of fiat.
