If you do it (spend $5 thousand) then make a long-term investment. In this case in less than a year (I do believe that Ethereum will gain) you can double your money and earn well. And yes, it is OK to buy ETH now.

If you are investing for long term in Ethereum you can buy it now. But if you want cheaper price, wait for bitcoin to rise rapidly and altcoins will get dump. It is not sure if Ethereum would dump because there are instance that Ethereum also goes into bull run together with bitcoin.

As you see, bitcoins value is decreasing while that of ethereum is inching slowly but definitely getting higher. The price value of all crypto currencies changing everytime it will be a great value or it will be little lower it is a common thing in all online currencies but ethereum is one of the best altcoin it is developing everyday so you can make an investment till now it will be give you a good profit in future .

Ethereum will have increasing I agree on this but I think its better to invest in promising altcoin with low price like Komodo, Stratis, Waves, Ark etc..

looking the price for now, i think its not a good idea to invest, hold your money or you can invest in bitcoin
also with a dip of bitcoin price right now it looks not good, im just afraid of Ethereum get blood red if bitcoin price is jump away. maybe its okay if you invest and hold it for long-term, if your target are short and easy panic that's the worst

definitely isn't too late to invest because ethereum is going to reach 10,000$. Some folks call it a Russian coin but this is no.2 coin just behind the btc. Also the best coin for mining these days, gives best return of the investment.

If you are aiming for a long term coin then ethereum is a great investment to start with, you should just need to make sure that you will not expect huge income or profit from your investment because it takes a lot of weeks or even months before you can feel that you are actually earning but it is all worth it like what happened in the price of bitcoin.

Dyor. Eth is the coin with the largest ecosystem built around them. Pretty much no other coins have a moat the size of ethereum.
