A decentralized registry for unique assets
I think that everything was competently advertised and from here and such popularity, there are many projects that also collected well and made noise.

A large number of participants in the Telegram group can really create hype around the project. But it all depends on how this amount was achieved, since most of them can be bots that chase airdrops.

I think telegram is not the basis of the success of the ICO .  It's too simple to fake it a big group doesn't mean necessarily a success.

Well, ICO's success is also due to its participants and the community involved on it. So as to have effective communication for announcements and updates about the ICOs, Telegram has always been the messaging medium that is widely used now.

Yes, it is. People are very much active on Telegram these days, and it is the best platform for ICO projects. I found one awesome project called Dakuce.
Dakuce is a Cryptocurrency Exchange which is formed by the top tier blockchain engineers.

It is a combined effort of blockchain professionals, established entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, security traders, high-end business owners, AI experts and angel investors.

Dakuce https://dakuce.com/ is formed on the advanced distributed platform that has a capability of processing millions of transactions per second. The error management feature has been worked on higher priority to reduce the transaction time abruptly. are fulfilled.

The ICO is now started and will end on July 12th, 2018.

Telegram's influence on social network can provide great advantage to ICO especially when there are many members. But I think this does not mean a sure success of the ICO. Because I see a lot of ICO with telegram supergroup but does not do well in the market. I think a great team, sustainable platform, supportive community, and effective marketing campaign still contribute to an ICOs success.

Sure. Social activity of the project participants can say a lat about loyalty to the project. I also look at twitter, facebook and telegram of the project to decide whether participate or not.

Not really, I personally invested a lot in AChain, while it was up, just to see how it collapses last week by more than 60%. The telegram is very active, however, like most telegrams, it is simply filled with speculators discussing price and exchanges, with a little discussion of the actual project itself. I prefer disagreements when specific channels for speculation are kept separate from the main channels associated with the discussion of the main project.

I don't use telegram as a measure of success because there are ICOs who manage to create a hype for their project but end up failing. In Telegram, I pay attention to the responsiveness of admins. For me that is an indication of team engagement with the project and less likely to be a scam

Telegram is the easiest way of communication specially for ICO related group. Easy to attract newbies, but telegram is too sensitive and can easily spam block you Smiley

It is one of the potential contribution for success because if there are many participants or members on your telegram group. It means that there are many potential investors and supporters for the ICO.

I started noticing that more and more people consider Telegram group size as one of the factors that show ICO visibility and the level of hype around it. It seems that it should attract people attention, lead to a successful ICO and strong uptrend performance on secondary market.

Telegram is not a vital indicator of success. Yes, this is a very popular social network, but even a large number of followers in the telegram channel don't indicate that the project is legit. Sometimes people use special services in order to collect a lot of followers. This is only an illusion of success.

I think it is a pointer to chances the ICO will be successful but it is only one element of the overall picture. Some of the Telegram groups are bloated with bots and dead accounts there may be 30,000 members in there but only 30 or 40 people actually communicating.

I will say you can not base your decision solely on the number of people in the telegram group. We have seen some "not so good" projects having massive members on telegram just because they are airdropping some tokens.

Been seeing projects' Telegram groups blow up and I think that's an attribute of success. Personally, when I find a project, I do judge them by their social media presence. How active a telegram channel does say a lot with their demand.

With the rise of groups exceeding Telegram's 50k member cap...what do you guys think?

Yeah, this is makes me thing the same. I often see a good success project is the one have many followers and supporters in their social media.
but you can adding anyone to your group in telegram, so it is still not a valid parameters to measure.

WPP ENERGY - BACKED ASSET GREEN ENERGY TOKEN
I don't think so, I guess high activity is a small plus, plenty of ICOs with active telegram channels have failed though. Not hard to fill a telegram up with an airdrop either.

yes, I always judge a project will be successful or not from the number of followers in social media, one of them is telegram, the more interaction between potential investors and developers will be better.

My only question is: why Telegram? Why did it become the de facto main platform for ICOs? Why not discord for example?

I am also curious about this. I like Discord and found it easy to interface with.

I think that in part you can judge this. Telegram is now the main means of communication of the community of crypto-lovers and all discussions are held in telegrams! Therefore, we can judge the size of a community of a project.
