The best criterion for the success of the project has always been a professional team and the availability of the finished product. And not how many people joined their telegram-channel.

Last year, a large telegram group was a sign of success, but now there are a lot of fakes in the groups. And the number of such groups is growing very quickly.

I do not think that the number of members could affect ico's success, because the number of telegram members usually only contains spammers and people who follow airdrop. In addition, not a few airdrop hunters who use fraudulent ways to add fake refferal. However, sometimes there are also investors who are interested if you see the number of telegram members are many and active, it's just that now many investors are really critical and not only assess ico from the number of members only.

An active Telegram community is a good sign of a projects health, but not a deciding factor. The community is a closed environment, so if member do nothing but chat in the tg, it’s of little use.

Telegram definitely has its weight, but it's very simple to get subscribers into it now. It shows the popularity of the project and no more. As well as this shows the amount of bounty viewing.

In the recent year, media such as Twitter, Facebook and Telegraph played a great role in promoting encryption. But a powerful telegram is not a new standard for ICO success. There is not a lot of active users in a large number of telegraph groups, many of them are false users, and many have dozens or even hundreds of telegrams. Such users have no effect on the ICO project.

I do not know for sure whether the number of members in telegram is influential with the success of the ico project. there could be airdrop participants in the telegram group. ico project holds airdrop on condition of joining their telegram group whose function is to increase the rating of ico or to make the investor interested in joining the ico project.

Been seeing projects' Telegram groups blow up and I think that's an attribute of success. Personally, when I find a project, I do judge them by their social media presence. How active a telegram channel does say a lot with their demand.

With the rise of groups exceeding Telegram's 50k member cap...what do you guys think?

Basically Telegram discussion group consists of potential investors and interested individual, that's why Telegram could be one of the measure for ICO success. But, amount of people in the group does not matter at all. Content of their discussion and the frequency of conversation are more important.

The number of participants in the telegram group is not an indicator of the success of the project. I met a lot of groups in which there were about 50,000 users or even more, but in reality these groups consisted of bots and inactive users. These were fakes.

Telegram is not the measure of success of an ico, they are literally forcing people to join their telegram channels by making it compulsory for you to join their telegram channels if you want to do their bounties. It does not matter how many members an ico has on their telegram channel, a project without a good product to offer is destined to fail regardless.

Telegram is, indeed, a reference standard, but most of the time I only care about the discussion of the ICO project in the telegram, if more people talking about the ICO project, means that there are more potential participants, and not a robot.

I think the number of telegram participants shows how successful an ICO will be most times. I can say telegram participants is directly proportional to ICO success if the participants are potential investors.

Telegram is just one factor for a successful ICO there are other outlets in social media that give the project a great opportunity to advertise and gives wide range of exposure.Maybe telegram Is a great way to communicate to the community but it doesn't mean if the group has a big community ICO will be a success because who knows half of the members are bots. And I think it still depends on how active the team in answering questions for us to know more about the project and how often they would update about the progress of the project or ICO.

I think telegram now is source of an ico success because, they use this as part of their bounty campaigns and airdrops. You can update the latest and newest bounty campaigns and ico in telegram and you must join and participate in the community as a form of registration. Telegram also is a useful messaging social media and you can post your referrals and other bounty campaigns and one of the successful source of ico.

More community means more people interested in your project thats why telegram can help your ico project to advertise/promote and attrat more people this also bring the community to be aware what news about your project, if theirs an improvement like fixing a bug and deliver a good vibe to every one.

It is a perfect social media to gain new users. Also, there are services that can help add new members to your channels, to create hype for the channel.

Telegram is one of the good places to check out projects. I usually read about what are the members talking there. Some projects’ group chats are active and members discuss about certain points that are good information.

There are many factors that need to consider and one of them is the activeness of the developer, their project roadmap, their supply of coins. I think telegram is just one criteria to measure if the project will going to be succesful.

Sure ! Today every dev of any ico focus on the telegram they want to increase no of the member in their telegram fir this they run many airdrops because maximum people's can join their telegram group for the ico make successful and it's also increase the confidant of the investor so we can say that it is very powerful tool for ico to make successful.
Now days if you watch every ico much pay for telegram promotion

The telegraph served only as a propaganda tool, not a measure of a project's success. The only real measure is the price of the token.

Sadly, yes. I have people approach me all the time asking how they can make their telegram rooms more successful and active 24/7. It is only a measure of hype. Not a measure of a worthy project. I think it may be the human condition in investing, but sadly, I think it is really toxic for the innovation of the crypto world as a whole. As Bill Gates says: If i was down to my last dollar, i would spend it on PR.
