its true we can track what kind of person that manage the ICO by looking at social media. But i dont think we can judge whether the ico have good team from the number of person in telegram group

Telegram is a method of communication and it is not a measure of ICO success. Admins and the entire team of the project use the telegram to give the latest updates and ICO promotions. Sometimes they ask to join the bounty hunters to increase the number of telegram followers and we cant judge the project through numbers of telegram followers. We can use this method to get current situation of the project and issues of the bounty stakes.

Telegram is a social network. And this is not an indicator of success. But in the dissemination of ideas is the perfect messenger.

Unfortunately, the size of the telegram group is not an indicator of the quality of success. For example, GBX - a small community-is a very strong project. INSTAR with the larger community very bad went on exchange.

Been seeing projects' Telegram groups blow up and I think that's an attribute of success. Personally, when I find a project, I do judge them by their social media presence. How active a telegram channel does say a lot with their demand.

With the rise of groups exceeding Telegram's 50k member cap...what do you guys think?

that is a ridiculous way to judge the ICO. Majority of the telegram group members in this kind of rooms would be only the bots. I definitely prefer smaller but genuine community

Their success was due to the fact that everyone knows such a program as Telegram and therefore it was easy to collect such enormous funds, they knew a lot of people and therefore contributions are large sums

If the project is really successful, then it will be actively discussed in social networks, and since Telegram is one of the most popular instant messengers among crypto enthusiasts, I think that you are absolutely right.

Not exactly but  telegram helps the ICO in many different ways. Like it is media friendly and helps in promotion of an ICO just like Facebook and Twitter. It also works as a medium where group of people interacting and sharing their own view.

To an extent, telegram is the major determinant of a project success. Through telegram group admin gives regular updates about the project.

Telegram is a means of user communication or may be an indicator of community activity. I think the community activity of an ICO coin is needed to support the success of an ICO.

There is a big difference between a good project and a project that brings good profits. A large number of participants in groups tells me only about the popularity and possible manipulation of the developers. I'm not sure that such a project will bring me a profit.

I don't think so  because most telegram ICO brings people into their telegram channel using airdrop to bring them in. they are not there for the seek of the project but to get airdrop. So you see telegram I dont think it should be used to measure ICO success

For me yes, it is. Number of telegram members shows the hype of the project. But not always. But we can assume that if the number of members are high then the attraction of the people to the project is high.

Telegram is not just the only social media existed, so you should not be solely check the members of telegram then, okay! You are willing to invest. No no no my dear, be more doubtful or skeptical. Assess the ICOs existence participation in Facebook, Twitter, Telegram, etc. Because to think about, prospet investors are anywhere. They can be scrolling in facebook, tweeting on twitter or etc.

Group size is not an indicator of company success. Therefore, I believe that telegrams is one way to promote.

You can judge an ICO from its telegram channel because it's the best place where team can interact with investors and supporters. Most of good ICO are having a locked channel for announcements, bounty channel and another channel where team interact with investors.

Even if the number of telegram members is manipulated or not, I don't think this determines the success of an ICO. I think what really matters is the project itself and how unique it is compared to hundreds of different projects it is competing with. That being said, you guys should check out Boltcoin, Menlo One, and Aethion. I think these have some potential in gaining massive adoption in the mid to long term.
