It is not that governments are scary. Governments are supposed to be friendly because they are its protector and will serve for the better good. What is wrong is when the officials in the government are not doing what they are supposed to do.

No! the governments are not scary. They are just protecting their citizens. One the role of governments is to protect people. When we talk about protection we do not mean against other countries or protection during war time. In this case, we are talking about financial protection. It is normal for governments to be afraid of the bitcoins. Not because it is so powerful, but because in case of collapse, they do would not like to deal with suicides or major crisis. Cryptos could badly end or succeed. We do not know yet. We are just hoping. Future will tell. But for now, we need to be careful.

I do not know your government and country and maybe they are robbing your stuff and people there, but if they can break the crypto then I think it is impossible unless you give them information. Otherwise, they cannot be appropriated, as crypto is encrypted and secured in the most optimal way.

For me, government us really scary because they can create law that can destroy to tge values and freedom of the people because in one law that they create it will affect the entire country. First of all don't ever think that governments are stupid because they are not. they do not allow Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency because it is less private and it will show an alert of your details or what you transact over the internet. Imagine you paid a prostitute and that transaction will be shown to all over the world for the confirmation, now suppose what if someone scraps that data and keeps a record on how many people spend their Bitcoin on what then everyone will know that how much money does everyone spend on hookers. This type of information splitting systems are less private and can show an alert of your activities using the transactions you do on the network.
Of course, the state is the real bandits and gangsters. And the prohibition of the circulation of cryptocurrencies is connected only with the fact that the state does not want people to be rich.
I think the government in my country is not that bad. The government does not kill its own citizens because we have or invest in cryptocurrency. I think they are afraid because they have no control in blockchain, If the Government not control they have no money to get example taxes, but government official can pass the law to give the taxes to people who used bitcoin in every transaction.
Maybe government afraid on cryptocurrency because they can not control it. If government have knowledge about cryptocurrency like other advance country, government will earn more taxes, from ICOs and crypto trading. Government should not be affraid with cryptocurrency, government should take benefits from cryptocurrency market because market value in crypto always growing bigger
Government are really scary about bitcoin because they bypass government policy and also rule and regulation. The evasion of tax is another way bitcoin is not supported by any government.
I think they are scary because of they cannot get some benefits from the bitcoin and they cannot control bitcoin like what they do with their fiat. and to solve this, maybe they will make a regulation to control bitcoin and cryptocurrency so they can know who is the people which stay behind the crypto and they can see how big the crypto can grow. maybe the tax is a good choice for them to control bitcoin user and they can get some money from bitcoin user and it means more money for the economic country.
Not really in fact the government is very helpful in promoting healthy environment for bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Just like any other country bitcoin and cryptocurrency here in our country is being regulated so which means we have to do KYC in the exchange of crypto and fiat and so does those ICO projects being based on our country should be registered to avoid conflict and scam. So better they should keep their promise or else they will be put to jail on these ICO team that includes the CEO of the project.

It looks like the government is afraid of crypto because of the obscurity and anonymous crypto form. Crypto prices which are sometimes quite high and their anonymous form clearly make the government afraid, especially when there are often frauds involving crypto with substantial losses. In fact, I support the government to accept crypto and then make a regulation about crypto itself to make it clearer and not a means to deceive.

Government actually is not so scary , the government implements the rules and regulations of the land , in bitcoin the goverent needs to regulate the movement and activities of the cryptos , in order that they will not be blame by the people in which they recognized and make bitcoin legit.
I do not think the government is scary. Governments are a part of a country and set policies for a developed country. So I always believed in what my government was doing.
