In my own opinion, only reputable exchanges should be hosting IEOs. By reputable I mean already known exchanges and not some new ones with anonymous people behind it. IEOs are less risky than ICOs no matter how you put it, that's if you are not buying from an untrusted exchange. It's normal for price to go up or dip, that's something no one can control unless when manipulated.
IEO is meant to bring more security to investments. this is because of the fact that most IEOs require that every investor does kyc. also, most exchanges do a comprehensive background check of projects before they are allowed to do IEOs on the platform. For example, binance does not accept projects that don't at least have an MVP or beta product, neither do they accept projects whose profiles have not been verified. I believe IEOs were introduced in good fate as they help in ensuring the validity of projects.
Invest only in good projects not because they are IEO projects ,find out what the project is all about before investing ,make sure you know what the project is trying to fix ,the reason why many projects fail either ICO or IEO is because we have too many repetitive projects already ,we need to be careful
That is the best way to go about it mate, at least we always get the chance and time to investigate an IEO project first before the opening time, exchanges always announce their intention to launch a project on their platform weeks before the launch date.This indirectly means that exchanges wants us to also get the chance to do our own research of the projects too before deciding on if to participate or not. We should not invest in an IEO project just because it is coming from IEO, but because we had made our own research too same way these exchanges do before registering them.
I think IEO cheating can only happen in small exchanges but not in with highly credible and high standards like Binance, Okex , Bittrex. If ICO can cheat their collected or raised money then they cannot do it on those top tier exchanges. When IEO became a very successful token sale then that means people trust so you should try investing on it.
Thank you. But what happens when everyone believes that the IEO is bound to succeed? With my opinion, IEO is successful when investors believe in the project and the project team is strong enough. Suppose after the IEO that the development team doesn't work well, the price will go down.
However, it may be that the first phase of the IEO projects on the big floors is successful, but it is unlikely that the next time it will be as it is now.

IEO protects investors interests more and it makes it easier for us to liquidate our assets at any time without having to wait too long. Can be seen in the last 2 months, the demand for investment in IEO projects is very much and it greatly affects this market. In my opinion if this trend continues to last, then surely we will earn very good profits and ICO will soon disappear to make room for IEO projects. Though its not going to be an assured profit and success of the project because the exchange is doing the crowdfunding people will still be interested to invest in IEO for the concept of the project. Take Bittorrent as an example, there were lots of investors on it because the project and the people behind it.

I see this becoming very common with smaller exchanges later in future if we don’t quickly control it, exchanges that has not succeed in managing to get volume on their own platform might also be looking for IEO projects and they will end up going away with any project money they generate since they are the ones collecting the fund directly. It will be a safe thing to do if we just be with these top exchanges, although they are not saint too but they are still better. In selecting top exchanges, we have to be picky also, since not all top exchanges got to the top genuinely,some faked their volume to get to the top and same way they might fake IEO projects for investment.
IEO will massively occur in any exchanges, even new and unreputable exchanges could launched it.and as investors we must becarefull with this trend , dont tempted by profits that we might earn if participating.for example ocean ieo in bittrex make thier investors loss alot.no one could guarantee IEO will always give us profits.
Yes, one example is the Bittrex ocean IEO which has indeed caused investors to suffer losses. We all should not invest in the IEO because many people benefit from the IEO. But it also doesn't hurt if you really want to invest in the IEO. Actually we only advise investors to be careful if they want to invest in the IEO.
The fact that IEO is happening in exchangers you can just choose the most legitimate trading platform for you and then wait for them to have IEO. IEO is the new ICO for me but there will be always flaws on it but I hope it will get improve from time to time.
Though IEO is not scam but some scam exchange offering scam project's IEO. After some successful IEO, some exchange is bringing a couple of IEOs every month. Like Latoken, exmarktes and so many exchanges are coming with many IEO at a time, but I haven't seen any successful IEO from them. You may invest in IEO, but I suggest you choose the big platforms to play safe. Binance, Kucoin, Bittrex, Huobi, oKex exchanges are safe to invest in IEO. Good Luck.

It's good when the exchanges allow you to use ethereum or bitcoin to buy IEO tokens. But when an investor first needs to own the tokens of the exchange itself, this discourages the desire to invest. I understand that such a policy of exchanges is necessary for them to support their work, but all the same, the sensations are not too pleasant from such an attitude.I would not say that IEO sale guarantees that the user will easily and quickly invest. Why do new investors consider the IEO a scam / Should I invest in IEO?

However, there are two big problems that are common in IEO: the number of tokens that are being held too much by some people, if the token floor will bring a good amount to them, if the token is reduced to the floor then they will quickly take a loss or sell out of the market but the big risk is to be in new investors. Therefore, for those who have lost their money in this market, they lose faith and consider it a fraud.

what do you mean by investing in IEO? Or you mean projects offered through IEO? Because IEO is not a project but a means of crowdfundingjust like the ICO. Since it is a new form of crypto projects, it is better to just wait for the feedbacks of the real IEO investors. We have to be sure and should not take the risk of being scammed by new projects like this. If IEO will become successful with the help of trusted exchanges, then it will be the sign thst IEO is worth the time and money and most especially worth to invest.
