Exactly my thoughts here. I don't even consider XRP as a threat to either ETH or BTC. So no chance of beating btc here. BTC has already positioned itself to be the most used cryptocurrency ever existed. Even with disadvantages on its part, still it is the first choice of most merchants and other institutions. People always connect crypto with bitcoin, there is no denying such fact.

XRP is centralized coin with a very good marketing. and cannot be considered as a strong competitor to BTC. Reaching the market cap of ETH was due that ETH development was struggling and ETH had tough times.

In a nutshell, XRP can't defeat BTC, not now nor in the future. That it is competing the No2 with ETH does not mean it can do so with BTC. BTC have many institutional investors who believes in its long term potentials.

That's right and we have often discussed before that Altcoin cannot beat BItcoin because the comparison is very far. Coin XRP is good and often defeats ETH several times but not for BItcoin with the biggest capitalization on Cryptocurrency. I hope that in the future BItcoin and Altcoin will continue to grow well in the digital currency exchange.

That is highly unlikely level. Well, in terms of marketcap, it might be able to beat bitcoin (but then again very low chance of that happening) but that does not mean that it is actually superior than bitcoin. Most people consider Ripple (XRP) to be a centralized coins since as far as i know, Ripple Lab holds almost half of the coins themselves.

Well, that only happened based on coins market cap but in terms of unit market value ethereum is still leading. XRP market value cannot in any way be higher than that of Bitcoin in the future both in unit value and that of coins market cap in the future.

After the Binance hack, it was discussed why hackers preferred to steal BTC instead of XRP, ETH and other coins? The answer is clear: Binance CEO calls someone from the Ripple team and they reverse the XRP ledger. Sounds easy, but I don't think the Ripple team will defend such transactions. It is also possible to re-org the Bitcoin network but centralization of miners looks like near to the impossible.

i believe XRP is a good altcoin but if we think it can defeat BTC then it is not possible, they are two different cryptos with their own purposes aim to their own market, BTC is now very strong about trading and holding for long term but XRP is built to be used in payments so it can be more realistic than BTC, beside XRP is too young, so it may need more time before it can really worthy to compare with BTC.

Everything what happens in the market is the direct result of the Bitcoin evolution so it is impossible for XRP to overcome Bitcoin. Regarding ETH, it is structured in a different way and it is also directly influenced by the price of BTC.

I really don't think that XRP can beat or rival Bitcoin and that is very unlikely, before defeating Bitcoin can XRP defeat Ethereum, I think that is also impossible?

No chance by XRP to overthrown btc in the top spot. Btc is the main coin and will be accepted anywhere and it have more use case than XRP. Even Ethereum can't be beaten by XRP knowing Eth is much younger than XRP. However, other alt coins might challenge BTC and if Facebook decides to launch its own coin.

Well, what is the reason "why XRP can defeat BTC?" Is it about the supply? Or is it about the price? Of course, both of them are very different.
And I did not see any chance or potential for XRP to defeat BTC with whatever the reason.
Let alone XRP, ETH that is ranked in second is difficulted to defeat BTC.

But ETH regained the no.2 position, as the community is much larger and much more loyal than what XRP is having. Another thing that gives advantage to ETH is that their developers are extremely competent, and this is something that even Bitcoin lacks. And now coming back to the topic, I believe that it is foolish to compare XRP with BTC, when it is not able to compete with ETH.

Ripple is regulated in price and capitalization, so to increase its popularity it can be done intentionally. Ethereum will remain the undisputed leader of altcoins. These two coins are completely different in order to compare them with each other.
