Indeed, when you are too much eager to keep moving forward satisfying your lust of playing, even the results most of the time is negative to your bankroll but you are still wanted to keep playing, there's something inside your minds that keeps reminding you that another time that you've bet you will hit the right one and win, and aside from that though you are losing you have the feelings that you are so complete after that gambling.

I have different views with you. whatever the purpose of someone in gambling is either to get profit or to have fun. as long as they allocate funds according to their financial capabilities and they have full control then that is not a problem? and that could be your reason for continuing to gamble.

Haven said that, in some countries most of their senior citizens were be appointed or elected based on their ruggedity which comes from being a gambler for example African; to be precise in my country.

Well people are greedy, some of them got the wrong mindset, they thought that they will able to win against the house, and they can't lose in a streak, gambling is not for making profit, chasing lost is a stupid idea, you will end up with losing more money or become addicted

After series of loss punters look for ways to recover loss so they check big odds of favourite betting events. There are no recent needed to continue the gambling field because gambling is not required any people identity because it gives only profit or loss when you entered into that field so you can definitely continue gabali without any reason if you have money you can do gambling that's all

Everybody needs a hobby, and while its probably more addictive than collecting model trains, its still less addictive than crack or heroin!

If you figured out a way to consistently win at something, say sports gambling, then sure there's a financial motive to continue. However, let's face it: most of us don't fall in that category.

I would say a lot of crypto investing is just a slightly more sophisticated form of gambling -- the line between the two is very murky. At least with provably fair gambling you know what odds you're actually getting, ICO investing or coin trading can't offer you that.

I realized gambling would only lose more money, but gambling was difficult for me to leave. Why? because I just keep trying my luck in gambling for the umpteenth time, I don't care if I have taken a losing streak and I don't gamble just for fun like many people here do it, I gamble just to make a profit, if I don't get profit then I'll pause a few days from gambling, but if I get a profit then that's the real pleasure I can feel, even though I realize that profit won't cover my loss so far in gambling.

I do see almost all gamblers are falling into these two category itself. It means there could not be any possibility of having different reasons. Even some gamblers will be having some different unique reason, if we go for analyzing them then we may find their reasons also related into these two broadly classified reasons.

Even the gamblers who are all gambling for entertainment only, will not prefer to go for free of cost base based gambling because they want to spend their hard earned money so that they can find the real heat of gambling. But I do see they are all really looking for chances for profit making but announcing themselves as fun seeking gambler. There are different reasons to continue to gamble and every gambler have different ones. I know though that for most people there are two main reasons why they continue to gamble, one is because they are chasing their lost money and the other one is because greed is in human nature and this is also a reason why people continue to gamble.

If after experiencing a great lost, a person still continues, then his motivation must have pursued the loss and that would have big consequences. In such conditions it would be very difficult for the gambler to forget his previous loss. Stop is the wise decision at such cases, but I doubt the person will choose it. It would be better for us to avoid to get such situation by not playing beyond our limits.
