I'm not from xapo nor connected with them but I say that they are a real business and legit wallet. They have a good reputation but because of the changes now that makes me think of continuing to use them, they have bigger suggested transaction fee rather than with blockchain.info but when it comes to legality, they are real.
I have found out about Xapo few weeks ago and only after there were a lot of threads about that they were fee free and now became with fees. I don't use this site, so I can't say anything bad about it, neither good.

If you want to try them, I can say they are good and one of the trusted. People are looking for free within these days and you need to remember that bitcoin transactions are not free anymore and in this world most of the things are paid and they are not scam or something like that. It's one of the best web wallet I used.
Well, bitcoin is not free from the start so there's no word "transactions aren't free anymore", But it's right that by using XAPO you can take advantage of its free charge of the fee. Though, there are some people already that said XAPO's deposit address often changed but if you have a lot of free time to contact the customer support, it'll not going to be a problem.
But keep in mind. For those who only have a really small amount of BTC below 0.001. Don't expect to use the fee-free feature.

XAPO site is not a scam site for sure because in last couple of years I have transacted many bitcoins through this wallet and also I'm using their debit card to withdraw cash in ATM's. I find that their charges for all the services are slightly higher but surely they are not scamming anyone. But most of the people were used them for sending money without any fee so far but now they are charging a slightly higher fee for outgoing transactions.

What a bunch of moaning sheeps you guys are. Xapo needs to get rid of the free fee aspect because they are not running to make losses just to please you guys, it's a business after all.

Transaction fees have reached a point from where even $1 in fees isn't anything special anymore. Xapo has tens of thousands of users. Do 10,000 transactions × $1 fee, and you'll understand how urgent the situation is.

Don't forget that their internal transactions are still free, and will remain free.

Sent an email regarding my locked up account, got reply few hours later, sent the reply back and then no email back for almost a week now Tongue
Good thing is i managed to find the solution myself and then i took all of my money out of there Tongue
Offline wallet is the best yo Wink

i am waiting for my funds out of xapo since they closed my account without any solid reason.. i provide them my externel btc adress to get refund as per their instructions but upto now no reply from xapo support ! im so worried about myBTC.. will they refund my money back?
please help me bro  ( [email protected] ) Shahzad Alam khan

I think the XAPO is not a scam, I'm XAPO users over a year and have never found the problem, I think it is best you contact data, if when registration you use valid data, surely they will refund your money.
Yes, I wouldn't call them a scam. They have their flows as any other wallet but recently such flows occur more often.

tried two different xapo card to withdraw money, but i couldnt.

Xapo is officially dead (at least for me too). Such a shame they couldnt hire a live support from 1 million funding. Worst service ever!

DO NOT USE XAPO.
I don't use them any longer and stopped using them when they started to do this too in charging their uses to use their services. Because let's all be honest now,
we only used their web wallet just for the fact of receiving micro transactions from those sites that offered faucets for free bitcoins to be sent to xapo wallets only (I do remember playing those app games that only sent to xapo wallets some bits to play) and the transaction free sends.
That is it really!
Now that they have stopped doing that people will move on to another one and forget about using them.
That is unless you have a xapo physical card with them,
then you are locked in with them for a while and paying their high service charge fees.
They are trying to rake back what they loss with all those service charge fee sends to the millions and millions of their customers over the years.

well, i am not able to tell if xapo is a scam, but...their customer service is the the worst ever i had experienced so far. what also makes me wonder...why dont they have a phone dedicated to customers?HuhHuh??

i signed up 6 month ago. at the time, i provided my id, proof of residence. i ordered the card...and all was good. shortly after i had to move back to germany so i contacted xapo. mailed again proof of residency and id, changed email address and phone. took ages and during that time i was not able to use my xapo account. anyway, after abou 10-14 days, all was sorted and i was able to login and use my account again.

now, 3 month later, during sign in, out of the blue i am asked to upload my id and proof of address again which i did. after, a message was displayed:

Information Under Review / Account Under Review

Thank you for providing your information! It seems that our system was not able to fully verify your identity. We will need some additional information before you can utilize all of Xapo’s features.

                                                                                                        Next

when i click next, i have to give in my pin, 2nd key...and i am back to square 1...the message above.

my personal information haven't changed since last update 3 month ago and since they haven't contacted me yet, i have no clue what "additional information" they possibly want. so i mailed support my documents again, asking to contact me. no answer so far! for me, that all came out of the blue. that means i cant access my account nor can i use my card.

i would expect that they contact me via phone or email BEFORE my account is on hold so i am able to resolve an upcoming issue BEFORE it becomes an issue.

lucky....i was just about to upload 16 bitcoins into my xapo-card as i'm about to travel. imagine i would have done that before they put the account under review or I would traveled already. stuck with an account and card not working!!!!!!

that means i cant access my account not can i use my card.

well, i have currently 0.059 Bitcoins in my card and i can manage to survive without. however, i will warn everyone i recommended to xapo and tell them about my experience. since i am a member of a mining club with thousands of members, we recommended xapo to everyone because of the debit card option. i have heard from other mining members about some problems before, and i guess it is time to share the news and take action. if my funds can be on hold out of the blue, this can be happen to everyone...for what reason ever.

anyway, i will give it from now 48 hours. if not solved, i will cut my loss and take action by warning others to stay away from a company nobody really knows much about.

No, i dont think that its a scam, but the only thing I do not like about Xapo is that it has little support for users (Or al least for me). Many times I sent emails and other way to communicate to change my cell phone number but never received a reply. But the rest it's okey Wink
Well done, some people say if the thrust site is being a scammer even though only getting a little problem with their transaction, never to thing solve this problem with their support.

When I try to send some btc from my Xapo wallet, I always get a "You don't have enough funds to send the amount entered.", though there are surely enough funds. I have $43 stuck there, not much, but still a gift for scammers. No reply from support, too. Anyone had the same issue?

I think this problem is you don't have enough balanceto send , maybe the balance of your  xapo not yet coming and still processing that's why it's happen.need to wait that your balance go total balance before sending to another wallet

It happened because the incoming funds did not have at least 1 confirmation yet. The problem will self resolve once OP wait a little while more.

no i dont think so that Xapo is scam. it is working best. i have fully trust on Xapo. i think it is one of the best transaction site so far. the problem you are facing is your own fault. actually you must have such amount of bitcoin that after the intersection charges you must have some amount left. otherwise they transaction will not done in any case. the varification process the best option of Xapo i think. it is the  best security Xapo is providing to you .

I dont think xapo is a scam i have not used it since 5-6 months..but when i used it worked fine for me always...instant withdrawals are available...i think this wallet is good for those who collect satoshi from faucets and have small amount in wallets..blockchainwallet is safest and best for bigget amounts

I would be very surprised if it turns out to be a scam. Not only are they in the business for quite some time.
They extended their service list, which means they are here for innovation with a long term focus.
