Atalanta has a game in hand and today I am sure that they will win it as the match against Salernitana. Therefore, the actual lag is only one point. The situation is pretty shaky but in fact I hope that Roma win the Conference League and get a ticket to the Europa League no matter where they are in Serie A by the end of the championship.

Atalanta could end up winning because they are a great team and playing a team that will relegate, but at the same time that's not enough to pass Roma, would be enough for Fiorentina but that's about it. I personally believe that they will be able to fight against Roma and try to win, it shouldn't really be that difficult or impossible.

I know that it looks to be a bit of a different breed situation right now, but Roma has a cultural success that should be laying heavy on that fifth position and not giving up, they like conference league obviously and they will be doing fine there. Best Atalanta can do right now is Fiorentina, and then maybe consider clash with Roma next game.

This is really horrible for Atalanta now. They are still 1-0 behind in their home game against Salernitana. I would like to admit that Salernitana's recent form has been very impressive as they have been on a winning streak of three games. And they are fighting for not relegating from the league also. But there is still a big gap between these teams in terms of strength normally. And Atalanta are also a team with an aim now. They are trying to qualify for a tournament next season. But their performance on the recent weeks has already been horrible and this is going to be an addition to that.

I am pretty sure it is going to go down to the final day of the season, nothing is going to be decided till then, i actually feel sorry for Inter, few weeks ago they had it in their hands and all that was needed was just to keep on winning, but they dropped points and as has been the case this season, AC Milan were waiting in the wings to capitalize, which they did, now they are in the driving seat and Inter have to play the catch up role again. We are almost at the very end, and all Inter must do is to keep on winning, make sure the gap isn't extended above the current two points, and hope/pray for a slip up, anything is possible.

Kick Off will start soon and it will be interesting to see the formation used by Salernitana in this match because they have 5 midfielders there which indicates they will start by making a breakthrough where they want the game in the middle of the field to be more stable.

AC Milan also got away well. Looked for a long time that it would end in a draw. Although Atalanta's performance in the last few matches has not been too good but I believe Salernitana will not be able to beat them in today's match. Salernitana is not a team that Atalanta can take lightly, even in their first meeting this season, Salernitana only lost 0 - 1.
