It is very sad, a young Dutch player who has potential, Ihattaren has reportedly decided to end his career in Football maybe this year. He is only 19 years old at this time. While with PSV, he played quite well and Juventus were interested bringing him. Unfortunately, after being successfully bought, Ihattaren was loaned to Sampdoria and there was not played. The condition where he just 2 years ago lost his father who died, and rarely played in sampdoria look like made him even more depressed. He is rumored to have run away from Sampdoria 2 days ago after ask to go home to Netherland, there is no recent news that I have found, whether he has returned to the club or not.
It is understandable. He might make a comeback in the future, take a year or two sabbatical and that way you will be basically capable of focusing on recovering. It is a very very sad situation, I am going through something similar with my mother in law right now and I can understand it, thankfully we are doing fine but psychology of it is not something that is understandable that easily.This is why if he ends up quitting then it would be better for him for sure, and he could come back in a few years and still probably be fine as well. Dude is only 19 years old, when he comes back at 22 he will still be very young and he could still earn more money in a single year than most of us could make in a life time, which is why I doubt that it would be a problem for him to take a break. If he quits for good, he probably has enough network to find another job.
