The Italian league was great in the 90’s, there were some fantastic players & the league was a lot more competitive.

Who remember -

Batistuta
Original Ronaldo
Roberto Baggio
George Weah
Maldini
Veron
Del Piero
Inzaghi
Crespo

Some great players.

Batistuta (Batigol) was ‘THE MAN’.

I was young in the 90’s man but I remember seeing him banging the goals in, what a player. Would have loved to see him play for Liverpool. An old school type striker, awesome.

Dino Zoff -Legend
Platini
Boniek
Paolo Rossi -Legend
Laudrup
Marco Tardelli
Claudio Gentile
Bruno Conti
Carboni
Bettega
Kaka
Toti
and many others

Mancini
Viali

And the biggest star - Diego Armando Maradona

Juventus has won the Italian Serie A for so many years now that Serie A is boring to watch.
I mean, sure, there's no title race, but you'll always find some good ol' entertainment with the teams fighting from 3rd to 6th or position which are Champions League and Europa League spots. I think that's what "saves" the Serie A from being an absolute disaster, because the other league (Juve and Napoli are on a league of their own) is actually pretty competitive with the likes of Inter, Milan, Roma, Lazio, Atalanta, etc.

A small boy goes to a shop and asks to buy a shirt of Juventus team, the seller replies, which shirt do you want, one of the players or the referee shirt.

Juve are just too good for Serie A, it seems like they’ve been dominating forever. They actually got relegated for all the match fixing scandals but still come back & absolutely boss Serie A.
It really is up to the others to provide much for of a challenge - Inter, AC, Roma, Napoli - WHERE ARE YOU?
I guess the other Italian Serie A teams might need to spend some money on the transfer market to sign some high quality players to play in their team if they wish to compete with Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo is a player who is capable of scoring goals and creating scoring opportunities for his teammates, the offense of Juventus is pretty scary with him leading the front line. There is also Giorgio Chiellini who is doing a great job as the captain for Juventus, as it would be difficult for other teams to score against Juventus with Giorgio Chiellini leading the other defenders at the back.

I think that no matter what transfers other teams do it will not be enough to beat Juventus.

I have been reading some rumors about Isco potential transfer to Juve if that will happen it will be even harder to  beat Juve
It is easy to say more active on transfer market when clubs  have no money
Piatek deal can be good move for Milan as he will make only 2 mln euro a year

Woaaah! That's insane man! I'm glad you won though. The old ladies barely disappoints but, I might have gone crazy on your behalf If you had shared this as a loss. Congratulations by the way.

Thanks! Had some bad losses from NCAAB so I'm very happy this YOLO worked out. A loss on that would have really hurt

Juventus were able to maintain their unbeaten run in the current campaign, I doubt Napoli will ever catch up with them this season because the team looks really well organized. They won conveniently buy 3 - 0, And Ronaldo also failed to climb back as the outright leader on the top scorers chart by missing a penalty earlier in the second, he's currently tied with Quagliarella, Zapata on 14 goals, I'd still tip to win the award ahead both players anyways.

-snip-

It was a decent match but everyone including me knew with Ronaldo starting for Juventus, only they would win and he scored the only goal of the match. Those rumours were true as Higuain is set for a transfer to Chelsea, and he’s not committed to Milan and was brought in as a late sub but failed to do any impact. Also I feel Milan could have taken it till the end, but the red card for them swinged the game in Juventus favour.
That red card was a devastating for AC Milan, but I feel like they would've lost that game even with 11 man on the pitch. They never felt like a real threat to Juventus, they only had one shot on target throughout the whole game, lackluster performance from them.

There are some rumours going around saying that Higuain could miss the game today, some people are speculating that it is due to his inminent transfer to Chelsea...could be a big blow for Milan if he can't play today. Anyways, I think i'm going with +1.5 goals @1.33 and BTTS @2.10...not feeling confident about the latter but we'll see.
Still a lot of unconfirmed news regarding this one and new sources are taking advantage of it as the rumors are still hot. That is why I don't look for news anymore in Google as I know most of them will be fake. I now only use Reddit as my news source as redditors right now know where to find the proper news sources in the forum, and as of right now no one is confirming about Higuain's situation nobody is even confirming that the medical for him happened so right now everything still is just a rumor.
Sure, there's no official announcement as of yet, but everything (from rumours to articles from reputable journalists) seem to indicate that Higuain will go to Chelsea in a matter of days. AC Milan is already looking for a new striker, Piatek from Genoa seems to be their main candidate right now

Higuain didn't make the starting XI but he's available on the substitution list, This should be an easy win for Juventus as the fielded a very strong lineup, I'd go for a over 0.5 goal in the first half @ 1.48.

The league will become competitive again once the other teams realise the benefit of owning your own Stadium brings to the club.
Since you mentioned the Bundesliga, it is a common practice that Bayern buys the best players even from their rival teams like Dortmund. But in Italy, Juve's rivals would rather sell players abroad (even with a loss) rather than sell to Juventus. Doing that they weaken the Italian league and make the foreign leagues stronger.

We have a clash of titans tomorrow in Serie A as Juventus will face Roma away from home. I think this is the crucial point in this league as a win from Juventus tomorrow will make sure the title will be for Juventus once again and this is not pretty. That is the reason I don't follow or watch Serie A , there is no real competition in this league like it is in the Premier League.
Yes the Italian league (Serie A) should be replaced by the Juventus league Cheesy But I think it's still quite interesting for bet to get for that might be easy for those of you who have considered Juventus will always win the match. This time Juventus have odds 1.4 which in my opinion would be good if I got it for the Juventus win against Roma.

I think that any team what will be able to score goal against can get like 0.5 point
Juve is beyond competition
If we talk about AC Milan only famous name left
It takes time to build a great team even with very good money
I don't see anything can change for better in a near time
There is even hard for Milan to compete with Napoli and Inter
It looks like final standing will be  Juve Napoli Inter
Milan will fight for fourth place

I agree with you that Juventus is dominating the Italian league and there is no competition from the other teams at all, they seem to be getting better by the day while the other teams are deteriorating, i hope it doesn't end up like the German Bundesliga some years ago. It will look bad for the once upon a time a fiercely contested league with all the great players of old.

Been reading news regarding a potential swap between AC Milan's Gonzalo Higuain for Chelsea's Alvaro Morata. Things are heating up ever since Milan's sporting director is considering not to trigger the 36 Million Euro buy option for Higuain in his contract with Juventus because of his recent form. Chelsea is on the same page as Alvaro Morata is under-performing in England and is expected to be swap out for Higuain there are no official talks yet but during last year's transfer window Morata came close to signing with Milan but it fell through.

The swap regarding these two has been going on for quiet a long time now, I feel it's a good decision if it were to happen. Alvaro has already played in Italian league and he was quite good there he'll help Ac Milan score many goals. As for Higuain he'll be happy to play in a new league, and with the players Chelsea have including Pulsic he shall definitely be a hit there. I hope Ac Milan invest in a new coach and makes sensible transfers, if they wish to compete going ahead.

AC Milan definitely needs a serious rebuilding and a world class manager because the Italian league is now all Juventus and there is the need for competition and there isn't a better team who could challenge the old ladies of Italy than AC Milan and they better back up and give the fans and the league what it deserves.
