Do you know by chance if any Italian clubs are resuming training soon?
AFAIK no and normally they couldn't since the lockdown is extended to the third day of May, at least. So if a team is training right now then he may be sanctioned.
What i heard until now that doctors are against resuming Serie A in May. Rumors about playing the remaining games in the South of Italy without spectators 3 games per week. The biggest problem is players who their contracts will end in June...

Lazio and Napoli wanted to start training in the mid-Aprli but...

The prime minister on his last decree said "No sportive organized activity will be allowed before 4th May", the date can be postponed.
This is why the president of Seria A hope for a start at the end of May.
This is really good decision by both Government and Serie A as no need of taking any risk we have some good time in future for this all first safety is very important for all.

This is a very positive news and am glad that juventus has just scored a brace.
Hopefully the world heals as fast as possible so normal activities can commenced.

Matuidi and Rugani are healed from Coronavirus, guessing Dybala is still positive.

Glad to hear that Matuidi and Rugani are free from the deadly virus,  it seems Dybala is still positive,  because if he had been tested negative, the press would have do the needful, Dybala and Arteta tested positive at the same time and we've heard about news of Arteta being negative. Hopefully Dybala recover as soon as possible

I have read that they want to use a solution in England to have all games played at Wembley.
That could also be an idea for Italy. But then remains the question how fair this will be, since it must be played without long breaks.
A mini competition or 2x25 minutes would be better, but then you are stick to the rules of the FIFA/UEFA.
No, this shouldn't happen. Especially the mini game format. If and when the conditions allow they need to carry on like they normally would, with the only difference being empty stadiums. But that is the sacrifice they need to take for the safety of everyone.

The teams should be allowed to play the remaining matches on their own grounds, not somewhere abroad or on a neutral venue.
Some other sports have decided to end their seasons prematurely. They wont be continued. European Ice Hockey leagues, for example. They are all finished. What has happened has happened. In some leagues the last match-day standings counted for the final rankings, in others, they will just restart from the next season. No champions, no relegation, nothing.

I think they will finish the league like this. Because of the last speaks from Infantino saying people's life is much more important. (ofc it is).
Otherwise, they should make a big delay on the schedules and this will effect the next season(s) too

Yes and there is another problem, if they will delay this season till October, they need to delay the start of next season to December.

They also need to delay the current Champion's League, the next Champion's Leauge, the next Europa League.

The next EURO already postponed and ALSO ALSO they need to delay the next year's qualification for the Mondial of 2020.

It is the best solution to postpone all competitions till further notice.
However, I feel like the players are going to be tired when starting the season again. So many matches to be played in such a short period of time. I hope that they will not get injured strongly...

The lockdown has been extended here in Italy till 03 May 2020 so players cannot go to training before that date.
They can train ofcourse on their private gyms at home but they can't go on the team field.

I think if the things go right, they cannot play before the 20 May at best (but as I already said several times I think the season is already over)
I don't think the season is over, with the rest matches, the Serie A need about 2 months to finish if the league will be reopened. Maybe shorter depends on the intensity of matches per week. It is always better for Serie A to finish this season, with any period of delay. Finish the season with 2 or 3 months of postpone is not too bad. The delay finish day will surely affect next season but the effects will go away after 2 or 3 seasons by stretching finish days for next 2 - 3 season for a bit later. As always, they all depend on the pandemic.

seems that this year is finished for audience/spectators on football grounds in Italy, if the season is continuing, it will be without spectators for this season and start of next season, at least this is something that Italian government currently thinking about
If Italy government allows playing in stadiums the with crowded audiences, will you come to stadiums? It is not beyond what I thought, and my hope is seeing the season finishes in closed stadiums, then we will have next full normal season. Clubs will fight rest matches to find out who is winner, and who will go to Europe next season. This is my very last wish for this season.

Italy are being a bit more optimistic than they should.Sure the number of infections and deaths goes down daily but if they are not careful they risk another deadly wave of the virus. If all people do their part and stay locked at home until early May then we may see a situation where certain games can be played in closed doors. It is only suicide to let crowded fans be part of the game.
Currently watching situation and after this going with closed doors is best option for all as we are not going to have this all normal in near future so closed doors and going with all required measures for players is really needed if we need to complete this season safely.

Maybe we are getting news from different sources, here is the news where it says that Serie A clubs "unanimously" agrees to cut their players' salary with the exception of Juventus who have cut their salaries for their players and as well as their staff a little bit earlier than the decision. However this agreement was only made between club owners and they are still waiting for the player's association for their counter proposal since they think that a 1/3 salary cut is something inadmissible for them. This only shows that the players themselves know that if they don't take a salary cut themselves the club where they are playing might be in a deeper financial trouble.

Yeah I had ear the news back on days but I don't think is official, it should be only a proposal agreed "if", I can maybe wrong.

~snip~

At the moment only the agreement between Juventus and Juventus's player is official, the rest is only speculation and nothing official.
I'm sure the rest will follow the example of Juventus but for the moment nothing is official.

They are now talking about the possibility to play one game by the end of May.

They are also talking about the new season played with closed-door till the end of this year (of couse if we will have a vaccine this idea will be removed)

Well, even with 30% reduction on player salaries we are talking about a lot more money that could be lost, think about it these teams are making money from tv rights as well as jersey sales and ticket sales and competition prizes and many other stuff while still paying for almost everything like nothing happened. They didn't closed shop and fired players like a company, they are still paying the same amount of money every month like nothing happened which means they need to give players 30% less AND also continue to play the games in order to be able to save themselves. Without that type of sacrifice from the players these teams going to be in big trouble.

Juventus is a huge team I am sure they will be fine, other big teams would be fine as well but the smaller teams need this ASAP to not go bankrupt.
