De Rossi’s Roma has a great chance to finish in the top four. They just have to be more consistent. They cannot afford to lose or drop points at this moment. The team that is ahead of them, Bologna, has a 3-point advantage over them. Bologna is also performing well at this moment. So it is going to be hard for Roma to actually finish in the top four. But it is obviously still possible. And the way Roma has improved, I think they have enough time to achieve the fourth position and finish in that position. I do not think Roma has any direct threat from Atalanta or Napoli at the moment.
But the problem is Roma is going to face Bologna, Atalanta, Juventus, Napoli, Milan in future matches. So it is going to be really hard for them to actually improve their standing and be on the 4th position in the end.
Damnit! They have tougher games ahead than I thought, how they handle these game and pressure would definitely show the strength of De Rossi as manager.
The last six games looks crazy and it looks like they'd only be able to win two out of the last six which would be against Genoa and Empoli.
Also I wonder how they'll cope with the pressure amd games of the European Europa League Competition without a proper squad with depth, they could go forward and also fall off. Anything could happen in these times.
Bologna, Napoli, Juventus and Atalanta are amongst the last six games to be played. How many wins would be possible here? Rossi has been a great introduction anyways.
Roma has 10 matches left in the Serie A this season. Out of the 10 matches, I expect they should at least be able to win four. my speculation says three matches are going to be losses for them. Milan, Bologna and Juventus, these three matches I am going to say they will lose. I
In this scenario, I think four wins, three draws, and three losses, that is going to be the outcome.
Of course, in the best case scenario, they will not lose a single match and from the very hard matches, they will be able to get one point. But if we talk about the worst case scenario, it is going to be very different. And I hope for the sake of De Rossi, it doesn't get to the worst case scenario.
But the problem is Roma is going to face Bologna, Atalanta, Juventus, Napoli, Milan in future matches. So it is going to be really hard for them to actually improve their standing and be on the 4th position in the end.
Looking at this fact, I think Roma should be more realistic because it will be hard for them to gain full points against above mentioned teams. Keeping their current position and maybe focusing more to win Europa League is better option than trying to finish on the top 4 at Serie A. Although to win Europa League is also not easy for them but I think winning all the remaining matches in Serie A to be on top 4 at the end of season is harder.
First of all, I would say this is not impossible to win against every single opponent. But the likelihood of that happening is very unlikely. And they will also have to play the Europa League quarter-final against Milan. And the matches of both competitions are going to get quite congested. That will probably mean a few players getting injured. So looking at all the facts, I think Roma will probably not finish in the top four and they will be very lucky if they are able to hold on to their fifth position, to be honest. I also don't think they will be winning the Europa League as well.
