Setting priority is importance when a club has 3 competitions to play in, especially a club who who lack of squad depth. Napoli and Inter Milan losing to Frosinone and Bologna, respectively, demonstrate that The Coppa Italia is the last in their priority list, because they have Champions league games and Serie A as the main focus. This is why the unpredictability is part of what makes the Coppa Italia captivating for fans.

Roma's serious approach to winning the Coppa Italia this season, despite facing challenges against Cremonese, reflects the competitive nature of the tournament. The fact that Roma had to work hard to overcome Cremonese's lead demonstrates the level of competition in the Coppa Italia and reinforces the idea that teams cannot take anything for granted. Juventus facing Salernitana will go on full strength striving to win, because they aim the Coppa Italia as securing silverware for the season. This concentrated focus may result in a determined and committed performance from Juventus. It's not a good news for Salernitana for sure.
The Copa Italia race is on and it's confirmed that this trophy is eyes more by Roma. They sustained a 2-1 victory yesterday night as well and they seemed fully charged for what lies ahead. Of all the teams that have advanced to the next round of the contest, they're the only ones with high determination to get to the end and win. And I trust José Mourinho to lead his team to the final.

They've got the entire skill set needed and they're eager to put efforts. Milan on their own hand gave defaults that they may not be able to get pass with even if they're able to defeat Atalanta. One would believe that Napoli, Inter Milan are not aimed for the trophy. Inter are aiming for the Serie A cup and Napoli are striving to create relevance and also secure a UCL spot too even with their squad loopholes.

Serie A has only been going on for half the season, with the points obtained by 4 teams above Cagliari which only has the highest difference of 5 points, it is still very possible for Cagliari to out from relegation zone at the end of the season. What they need is not a miracle, but they must be able to improve their performance at least when they meet teams that are equal to their strength. If they manage to win all their matches against teams in the relegation zone and 4 above, then Cagliari can stay in Serie A next season.
Cagliari coach need to improve the team in the remaining games, if Cagliari will be able to escape the relegation at the end of this tournament because their performance in this season is not giving their fans confident, if they will be able to come close to Napoli that are in 5th position in the Italy serie A table. Based on what their coach is planning to do to his players now show that Cagliari players will begin to showcase some new tactics that will help them to withstand some weak team like them.

And the reason why Cagliari coach need to act fast to save his job  by saving the team from relegation is that if Cagliari enter relegation in this season, show that their coach maybe sack for not prove his skills to improve the team in this season.

Although Cagliari failed to be consistent, at least there is no guarantee for Cagliari to stay in the relegation zone until the end of the season. Because anyway, if for example at the same time the teams above Cagliari also get bad results then ya, of course Cagliari will still have a chance to get out of the relegation zone and will still play in Serie A next season.

Unless, there is a very wide points gap between the team in the relegation zone and outside the relegation zone, then if the position is like this it is very likely to have no chance for the team in the relegation zone . Because after all,the fact is that they still have a close points gap and obviously, the competition in the lower zone is also interesting because it will continue throughout the season.

Isn't it too soon to discuss which teams will be relegated next season? even now it's not even half way through the season (it takes 1 more match to go to the middle of the season). After I looked at the Serie A standings, it's not impossible that Cagliari can stay in Serie A next season, they're just experiencing bad luck. In the next match they will face Lecce, Lecce isn't a strong team, but also can't be underestimated, and if Cagliari is serious about staying in Serie A, they must get 3 points in Ettore Giardiniero - Via del Mare.

It does depend on Cagliari themselves  especially since theyre a promoted  club this season after going back and forth between Serie A and Serie B so now it depends on them whether they are able to get out of the relegation zone and survive or just the same as the previous season for them.

On the other hand we also cannot expect anything when an ordinary club tries to rise from the downturn, actually it is a little more complicated because when at the beginning of the season until the  middle of the season they feel at home in the lower standings then towards the end of the season it is like that because they are difficult to get out of the zone and rise to improve points so that sometimes for those who are in the lower standings sometimes the changes dont move and evebn tend to be monotonous although there are some club  that still manage to break that but of course that cannot be done by all club.

If Cagliari achieves a miracle, it will set an example for other teams in Serie A. They are currently going through a very difficult financial period and the motivation of the players has decreased. However, if they manage to stay in the league at the end of this year, the possibility of the players going to other teams increases, as a result, there may not be many teams that want to buy the players of the relegated team. I think they will try, but we will see what happens at the end of the season. All teams are close to each other in the points table.
Cagliari not only need a miracle but also has to fight hard to get out of the relegation zone, in their last match Cagliari was unable to get full point against Empoli at home, which in fact is both a weak team at the moment so I'm not sure if Cagliari will be able to get 3 points when facing a mid table team or a top team whose condition is getting worse, in the match earlier this year Cagliari will face Lecce as the visiting team. Let see if there is a miracle there where Cagliari is able to appear surprising and cause difficulties for the home team.
Cagliari was collect 14 points from 18 matches and they only can gets 3 wins from those matches and i have to says it's very hard for them to avoiding relegation zone but doesn't mean they don't have a chance to avoid that zone and surivive in Serie A because they have equal chances to Verona, Sassuolo and Udinese however recently Cagliari has successfully to improved their home matches records because in the last 5 home matches Cagliari was unbeatable because they can collect 3 wins and 2 draw I think these records proves that Cagliari has strong mentally to out from relegation zone

This weekend indeed Cagliari will fight against Lecce for away matches and one of their biggest weaknesses currently indeed for away matches because they always be performing poorly at their opponents home ground but Lecce is not strong opponent because this team also had a problem with the consistency so if Claudio Ranieri can able to bringing Cagliari to performing well i think there is a chance for Cagliari to stole at least 1 point from this match so that's why for betting option i was thinking to bets draw or both teams to scores

Yes, despite the fact that last year Cremonese played in Serie A, and now plays in Serie B, even in the cup you always expect a more confident victory from a club that is good in the main division. At the very end of the game, Roma responded with two goals and it is unlikely that we will see a change in the score until the end of the game - Roma are interested in avoiding extra time and will not rush forward to score a third goal.

I somehow saw it coming and I also thought that Lukaku might be the one who scores the first goal. I was pretty sure that if they were able to score the first one with some time left, they would still win the game and that is what they did. That's actually when I like to watch Roma games because if there is something to fight for (and not something to defend because they had to win), then Roma can play great stuff. That's why normally I prefer games when Roma concedes the first goal. If it is the other way around, the games usually become boring like hell.

100%!  Grin That's Mourinho - a 1-0 score is enough to win.
By the way, with the score 1-1, the bookmakers assessed the probability of Roma's victory as 1.2 - quite high, taking into account the fact that the score was slippery and there was little time left until the end of the game, and if Cremonese had scored, it is unlikely that Roma would have had time to win back.
Now in the 1/4 we are waiting for the Roman derby Lazio - Roma. I don’t expect anything interesting from these games, most likely it will be something like 1-0, 0-1 in a stubborn, sticky fight.

Cagliari still has chance to avoid the relegation zone and of course they will have that chance after the break is over, but there will be some pressure in getting full points in the upcoming matches because first they have to face Lecce and after that Bologna.
To face Lecce, Cagliari might have big chance of winning because Lecce themselves do not have stability in all the matches they have played so far.
However, against Bologna it will be really difficult challenge and pressure for Cagliari to win, just look at Bologna, they have 8 wins and 3 defeats even though they have drawn 7 times, but at least they have had few defeats.

Of the team above it alone, Cagliari has fairly narrow gap, namely the same as Verona with 14 points, Sassuolo with only difference of 2 points and Udinese with 3 points.
From this difference it can be concluded that Cagliari chances of avoiding the relegation zone are wide open, they just need to continue to make changes and optimize their game more consistently.

What will clearly have difficulty avoiding the relegation zone is Salernitana and they are team that will clearly be relegated this season if they do not provide good development.
But that normal because they just keep losing and don't deserve to be in the main Serie A competition.

I saw the goal scored by Romelu Lukaku, he used his body as a shield score he could score that goal comfortably. Great finish for the Belgian even if he was already playing badly in that game before he scored.

Not sure what lead to the penalty awarded but it was a great spot kick taken by Paula Dybala as he helped qualified Jose Mourinho and the rest of the lads to the next round.
That said, expecting Napoli to come back up and win the Scudetto is a bad idea, how many points behind are they right now? Has got to be more than ten points. Rudi Garcia didn't do much of a good job so far if we'll accessed.
AS Roma have picked up the crucial form to start winning matches because the club is fighting for better results and it can only be achievable. José Mourinho knows what he's doing and planning to explore more options for AS Roma. José Mourinho have the best strategy to implement, this is certainly a case where we won't be jeopardizing any slight difference followed by inconsistent performance. Having an experience attacker like Romelu Lukaku in your frontline, netting a goal wouldn't be considered difficult because there we have a bulldozer who's willing to tackle just to net a goal.

Salernitana is only 1 to 2 points away from several teams above them and they have to win to be able to go further. But as we know it will be difficult when faced with Juventus and Napoli who will be their next opponents. For Juventus, Salernitana will definitely lose, but against Napoli, I think they are still quite reliable, especially since so far Napoli has collapsed and lost its consistency. So their hope is to get points against Napoli later.

dont sell the bear skin before killing it, Napoli is not dead, not yet

Regarding Juventus, now that they are -2 behind Inter everyone is very excited and with very high morale, while the psychological pressure on the Inter players begins. I expect Juventus to become even stronger!

Indeed, Napoli are not dead but they have just lost their consistency and I think that against Salernitana they will find it difficult. It is possible that Osimhen is also still absent considering his red card so they do not have a viable striker option as a replacement. What I'm afraid of is that Napoli won't be able to defend well so that Salernitana can steal the lead first and that's when Napoli will be locked in the Salernitana defense line and unable to score.

Juventus is one step closer to catching up with Inter and everyone knows that they are a big team that is free to focus on just one competition and they have no responsibility for other competitions. So the opportunity is bigger and just waiting for Inter to experience one failure then they can lead Serie A safely.

Today Juventus will face Salernitana. And for this one, I think it is clear that Juventus will not give up and will try to win this match. Because Juventus has no other schedule apart from the domestic league. So Juventus' focus is definitely on winning the Coppa Italia.
Yes, that's right, because Juventus will meet Salernitana twice in the Coppa Italia match today and the Serie A league in one week, at least Juventus can really learn how to exploit Salernitana's gaps and weaknesses, Allegri will really put pressure on his team to play better in facing Salernitana because it is important to get a win in the next two matches against Salernitana, both Coppa Italia and Serie A.

Salernitana is not a difficult opponent for Juventus, but they also shouldn't underestimate Salernitana because it could be fatal if Salernitana makes it difficult for Juventus to win and score goals. I think Allegri has to prepare a good strategy to be able to win in the next two matches. My prediction is that Juventus will succeed in beating Salernitana in the next two matches they meet.

I know Napoli is not die yet but it will be difficult for them to lift this trophy again in this season, which you know that there are many strong teams that has double cross them to use huge amount of points to gap them in the table. As it stand in this season, I don't think the coach can do something that will make the team to showcase what they have never showcase before because, some of their potential strikers will be leaving the team soon because their contract will expire soon and they don't want to continue with the team again.
Now Napoli is in the top eight of the standings which is quite far from being in the top flight, so Napoli may only be able to try to be in the top four of the standings until the end of the season if they are still able to win more matches and hope that their other rivals can lose. Because Roma, Atalanta, Bologna and Fiorentina have made quite good progress this season, Napoli continues to experience decline in its position so far.

Quote
I believe Napoli will improve next season because, by then their coach will have some new players that will make some improvement that will give their fans hope that with time their coach will get it right to help them win some trophy.
This season, it is no longer easy for Napoli to get another trophy like last season, but that doesn't mean Napoli can't rise to a better position, such as the top four or the UCL zone. Because usually when a team is no longer able to reach the top position, the team will try to secure itself in the top four so that it can re-enter the UCL competition next season.
Last season, Napoli convincingly conquered the whole of Italy on their way to winning the Italian title for the first time in over 30 years and that triumph without doubt increased the expectations of the club's fans but unfortunately for the team, they've not been able to live up to expectations. Currently not in the top four of the league table which I think makes it almost impossible to finish the season as the league champions again also considering their general performance this season it'll take a huge miracle to see them win the UEFA champions league competition.

So the best they can do now is to fight and finish in the top four of the league table as I personally do not see a possibility of them winning a major title this season

Im telling you my friend if napoli was only lucky last season. The club was having average performance but it gets advantage caused by so many clubs were still in the transition last season.
You will not be able to see the same napoli like last season again. It's done for napoli and it has no chance to get the trophy this season. The club still perform like shit and nothing improved at all.
Being qualified for the UCL next season is very hard to happen. We need to see that based on the fact if napoli is still sitting at the 8th place of standing while it's being far away from the top 4.

The chance for napoli to enter into the UCL is very small if it will not be getting win streaks. Napoli really need to win streaks to go up again but it's very impossible to happen soon.
Im thinking napoli may probably out from the top 10 soon. I'm seeing mazzarri was not feeling convenient to handle this club. Mazzarri has not pleasant experience in managing serie a club.
It will be another lose for napoli if the club keeps play like shit. Im not hoping a lot with this team but i kinda feel your expectation for napoli to finish at the top 4 is impossible to happen.

Roma will take certain cups seriously, but they don't play well in their league. Even yesterday, I didn't think they would win the match again because the Cremonese scored the first goal, which is very hard to equalise. Lukaku and Dybala are really trying for Roma because without them, they won't be able to score even one goal again. Now that they've advanced to the semifinals, it will be better for them because they should take the remaining games seriously; otherwise, it will be very difficult for them to win any trophies this season.

Although Roma has a good coach, it seems like it has been a while since the team qualified for the champion league. They are currently competing in the Europa League. Therefore, I believe the only thing the team needs is more players. If they do so and their performance is still subpar, the coach will still be held accountable because Roma is a significant team in the league and their play is subpar.

Roma had better take it seriously while they have a chance to win a title. Otherwise Mourinho's end won't be good here. His contract finishes by this summer therefore he needs to make this team more successful this season to be able to keep his job. But things aren't going well on the Serie A side on one hand at all.  Sad

It looks quite difficult for them to finish the season in top four with this kind of a form. Therefore they need to fight for the Coppa Italia title on one hand as hard as possible. If they win this title maybe he might have a chance to stay even if they don't finish the Serie A in top four.

If they get 3 points, they can get out of the relegation pot, but this is not easy for Cagliari. We saw in the cup match against AC Milan that they could not get into many positions. Their defensive areas are problematic and their chances of winning against big teams are slim. They must find a way to win against the teams they will be playing in the mid-table. Otherwise, I think it is certain that they will be relegated to Serie B.

taking three points in Cagliari's financial situation is not easy, there is no serenity to be able to work and therefore everyone works in a nervous and not serene way
This is why I am convinced that Cagliari will go to Serie B compared to the other teams at the bottom of the table

In the Coppa Italia, sometimes the results of matches between weak teams vs strong teams are very difficult to predict. Because some strong teams sometimes don't play optimally and experience defeat. As happened with Napoli and Inter Milan who lost to Frosinone and Bologna.

Rome seems different. Because it seems serious about winning the Coppa Italia title this season. Although I didn't expect AS Roma to have to go to such great lengths to win this match. Cremonese led the match well from the start. And Rome tried to chase him and succeeded.

It is understandable why weak teams can sometimes take the lead first because it will increase player motivation and also put pressure on the team that is lagging behind so it is very possible for the team to make mistakes, but elites are usually more experienced in dealing with things like that, especially if they have a coach who is rich in strategy so that they can easily change the strategy applied to ultimately be able to score goals and win the match.
If I'm not mistaken last season Cremonese also performed well in the Coppa Italia by reaching the semifinals and eliminating Napoli and also AS Roma, fortunately, this time Roma were not careless and continued to put pressure even though they were behind and in the end were able to score two goals even though it took quite a long time for them to equalized and took the lead because of a penalty which Dybala could take advantage of.

In football, whenever it comes to top tournaments, there's no such thing like putting an elite team first, at that phase, a mediocre team and an elite team measures with the same energy level, if possible the average team takes the lead because they're more serious and no relenting energy. AS Roma underrated Cremonese, more reason they struggle for a winning. The penalty was worldclass taken by Paulo Dybala, he scored to make the differences of 2-1, Cremonese were a bit too late to reciprocate, that alone was not good enough to handle the tough matches but I guess this events can not be reversible.

Even though they were in 5th place in Serie B, I think they played one of their best games against an Italian giant team. If it wasn't for Dybala's penalty, they might have won the match. Even coming this far is a success for Cremonese. They deserve to be congratulated. Rome got the win as we expected, but we must say that it was a bit difficult.
