For kids college go diversified. I think safer bonds and gold better but definitely buy BTC as well, just smaller percentage like 20%

A friend of mine started to save money in BTC for his son.
Now he is in worry about the idea because of this last dropping months.

I told him to re-load some BTC up to lower the average.
If you have any suggestions about this please share

Its BTC a good way to save money for our kids?
Will this pay them a car? the university? a house? nothing at all?

Bitcoin is a horrible thing to ALL IN on, as far as your kids are concerned. In 10 years it might be replaced with something better.
But I think putting 5% in BTC for your kids and actively managing (in case BTC's throne is threatened) will be a great idea.

This is an issue that i would not ask any body to take in a haste. Even though, i have great faith in bitcoin as well as other cryptocurrencies, i would suggest one gives bitcoin sometime lets see the dynamic volatility effect of bitcoin especially over say the next five years perhaps ten before one could proceed with such endeavour. Offcourse, anything that has to do with the security of once children and their future is not what we should do without some degree of certainty about the assets one is investing in.

Nothing wrong  with saving bitcoin for our kids or other expenses.
Bitcoin has a good future even  if the price fall down as of now, we all know it will recover  soon.  Dont be affected by what happening right now. You just have to believe and be positive.

You can not blindly believe and be positive - this is a sign of ignorance and children's attitude to life. It is necessary to study the subject deeply and act on the basis of the knowledge accumulated by mankind on this issue. No one can just make a million dollars out of nothing that they don't know anything about.

Do not give in to General panic. Time has passed since your investment quite a bit. This is a standard bitcoin price movement. The time will come and you will be able to pay not only for your studies, but also for the whole existence of your family. Be patient. I, too, am in the same position as you, but I try to increase the number of bitcoins with the help of trading. We're all going through a bad time. If you want to win the price, just wait for the best moment. If possible, try to exaggerate your capital by any means available. Be patient a bit and you will see that it was not in vain.

Yes i would say because it is decentralize and you have full control over your fund. At least you are sure of the security. Not only that, bitcoin can be compared as the value of a gold. It is low now but before the kid grows, the value must have appreciated.

On the whole it's a good thing. As we all believe that btc will rise good enough one day - it will give a good profit.
Not everyone can collect enough money in order to give your child everything and it's one of the ways out.

I think it is positive thinking and the answer is yes because Bitcoin is now at cheap rate. Those who are buying it now for future profits, will be succeed and their decision in this context is appropriate in my opinion. Buying at low price is always have chances to make profits in most of the cases. So you can buy Bitcoin and hold for your kids.

I believe in bitcoin and the fact that its price will only grow over the years, and the technology itself will strengthen and improve. So I am also saving money in bitcoins for the future.

It's not a good idea to risk future to a speculative asset that is very volatile and could turn out to losses if something happens.
That's why I always advise newbies and other people to invest only the money that they afford to lose and invest only with their own risk. Crypto Currencies are not a magic money maker that can turn out our savings in multiple times, this world is really wild and based on speculations and the risks are too high.

To be honest, Bitcoin is a part of the wild crypto market and no one can predict the accurate future and hence there is no right or wrong answer to this question. However, considering the potential of Bitcoin/crypto industry and the growth of it since inception, I believe that this thing is here to stay but again, that doesn't mean I should invest my entire capital in it. I would go with diversification method and invest various parts in multiple sectors/forms rather than keeping all the eggs in the single basket. Thus to conclude, I would say that Bitcoin is one of the good ways to save money but not the single method.
For me, it's not a good idea to risk the money that is supposed to be the savings for his children in the future because in this industry assurance is just an illusion and those savings might turn to be beneficial or losses in the future and I guess it is better to save paper money for his child's future rather than making a risky decision with a 50/50 chance to turn out to a good idea or regrets in the future.
It's better not to gamble the money that is supposed to be for the future of one's family and if a person has some spare money that he is willing to lose then that money can be invested on Crypto Currencies and no matter what happens with that money he is willing to lose it anyways and there will be no regrets. Bitcoin is truly beneficial as a long-term investment. Therefore, it is suitable for saving money for your children. It's great that you think about it now, because if you believe the forecasts, the prospects of bitcoin are very rosy.

I think it's a great plan to save money for future generations. The main thing is that you believe in bitcoin and its prospects. Otherwise, you will spend a lot of nerves, as the price of bitcoin is very fluctuating.

yes, I think if the goal is for long-term investment in preparing their children in the higher education stage then this is the right time, indeed the prices have dropped dramatically lately but it has started to improve. but my advice, you don't invest without watching the price of bitcoin because this will make it difficult for you when you need an emergency fund.

Saving for children means long-term savings. If it's like that, I think it's a very good decision. Because I believe, someday, bitcoin will have good value

it's just like another investment, just with a possibility of much more higher payback. so, if you can take the risk, saving Bitcoin for your kids will be a great idea, but you really need to buy in the dip market for that (to keep your losses low, incase)

What you are telling is true , that if you take risk then only you can earn high, but instead of going to one time investment you can invest like 5 go 10% from your earning every month so you buying price can be averaged and dip market price benefit you can get it. In future if it goes zero also then also it should not affect your children's future, as this investment should be like extra income apart from stable investment for future.

For me, bitcoin is partially reliable. I am not saying that you cant rely something to it but remember, it is volatile, we dont know when its price hikes and its price drops. You can ensure the future of your kids if that time, bitcoin manipulation and its price was so good. You can rely to it but dont just ensure the future with just it. You can invest with other investments, you must have an option.
