Just for the record, I'm not ok with changing any core identifiers of IXC.  IX and IXC should stay the same for a number of reasons.

Let others change IXC into XIC if/when the time ever comes to go global and be ISO compliant.

Edit:  I like 1 IXC = 1.000.000 IX (nine)

XIC would get my vote for the ticker.  Making it more ISO compliant.

IX Bits , mini IX, micro IX...

For about 2 years now that's how I thought it was gonna happen.  Before Gavin said to start thinking in bits. But maybe bits will be associated too much with Bitcoin.  Hard to say.

We need to change as little as possible.

IX and IXC are a change from iXcoin but at the same time we hold on to the same identity which in cryptoworld is ancient.  I think this is the best way to go. 

And to solve liquidity issues as well as improve tx costs, using "nine" as our name for bits sounds good as well.

No, that's my job.  You're making a lot of sense.  This would help marketing and pushing mainstream [internationally] much easier.

I have thought of Ixi as a short version and lol, after looking up if its connected to any sort of meaning found this:

IXC is fine - even International Exchange Coin doesn't sound bad

Important and Urgent Proposition:

We now have nearly 1,000 shitCOINS in cryptoworld and many more coming.

Back in 2000-2001 after the dot com bust I remember all the top internet companies dropped the dot com part in their names due to the fact it carried a stigma of scams and failure.

So I'm proposing we [preemptively] drop the "coin" part from IXcoin and make it cleaner by simply calling it IX while continuing to keep IXC as the trade symbol.

So nothing else changes.

Any rebuttals, issues or comments?

The volume is very low though in the grand scheme

I thought I saw someone post a guess at a cryptsy address but maybe I'm wrong.

I don't "accumulate" like other investors - the way I buy is sledgehammer style.  lol.  So I bought up to like 11k sat and then the price tanked hard ~80% but I didn't buy there, I bought at around 5,000 - 6,000 sat. 

But it wasn't difficult - it only took minutes.  It took you a long time cause you buy using your brain.

IXC and I are all about love, brother; and that always runs hot and furious.  lol

ive been on these exchanges 18 hrs a day for months...

and not seen much movement other than the 30,000+ i bought when it was down in triple figures

and i never did get any suspect IXC addresses despite asking repeatedly in multiple threads.

It's adding up.  I bought 35K with ease.  At this point there should be no dumping.  Just look at i0 as a comparison.

I single handedly took i0 up from ~1 penny to $12, yet still couldn't get anyone to dump.  IXC should have the same dynamics at this point.

Where are you seeing volume?

Who is dumping so much IXC so cheap?  Where are so many coins coming from?

Let's end this now:  I'll buy 40 million IXC at current market price.  Maybe that will stop the bleeding.
