His trainings are real good but it's true that when we age, our strength and thinking becomes weaker and slower. But I'd still give him credits for being at that good shape even he's aged a lot, he's still considered the living legend.

As they say, strength is the last thing to go with age (or at least that's what I've heard).  Everything else starts going pretty quick once you hit 40 though.  Seeing the recent video of Mike Tyson running is a good example of that.  You can see that he is still a very strong individual, but just being able to run a 40 is awkward and a bit of an accomplishment.  I think the video showed that Tyson has the strength to still do things, but his body just doesn't move like it used to.  Still, his top tier boxing skills may open up an opportunity to land a knockout blow on Jake.  Make no mistake about it though, Tyson is old and it shows a lot.
We're all up for his shape, his skills are no doubt still there but we can't defeat the physics of nature if it's about our body.

But despite that, he's got the balls to accept matches like this even if this is just an exhibition to most but we sure gonna see some real hits from him and Jake as well.

I hope that both won't be soft to each other and will show and prove that talent and skills can defeat natural process of age.
Doesn't that look satisfying, he can still have quite good breathing stamina and what he is doing is being able to get much better stamina, this could be one of the reasons when Tyson manages to show big surprise on 20 July.
He still looks very strong with quite prominent muscles, some other fighters his age may have experienced significant shrinkage but not so much for Tyson.

Of course, no one wants to take blow just like that, there will be fights that really knock each other out, after all, this is not WWE but it has almost the same structure, namely it was created for certain amount of money.

Yes, I also expected all that and if this wasn't so important then Tyson wouldn't have done all this to prepare, we can actually watch it later and we can see clearly how each punch can really be felt by both of them.
But by the way, I serious enough to make Mike Tyson favorite.

I mean technically we don't know this.  They might end up fighting and it being a pretty legit fight all around, it's hard to say.  I think either way Tyson will end up winning.  I just can't imagine him being cool with losing no matter how much money they throw at him.  But at the end of the day I'm just hopeful this is an entertaining fight and not just some dog and pony show.

It's true that technically we all don't know what will happen next, but if Tyson wins, let's just say it's a good award because even though he's no longer young, in terms of strength he's still unmatched. Everyone is definitely looking forward to this fight because Mike Tyson's return is eagerly awaited by all his fans and this will definitely be a very entertaining spectacle.

Their promotions alone are giving them much more attention than they really need because even though the fight is too far, they have appeared in different shows to promote this fight. I wonder how will it end up because for me this fight is no longer needed since Mike is too old for Jake Paul, they might already plan some moves in order not to hurt each other in their exhibition fight because there's no way that they are going all out with this one because one of them might get seriously hurt especially Tyson since he already feeling some decline on his health.

If the aim is promotion to attract the attention of many people, plans have already been made behind how to make this fight look very interesting and exciting to watch. one of which is planning or making movements during training so as not to cause too much violence between each other as you said above, so we should just wait and see whether this fight is really a friendly match or just for promotion.

Oh well, the argument has turn now into a Jake Paul fanboy or not, Lol. But in any case, it looks like the boxing community here is divided already? Some might not like what Jake Paul is doing and not it drags the name of one of the legend in boxing and we say that it is ok for him to fight and do exhibitions match? And this could be a trend now, I thought that after we go back to the norm, this kind of exhibition match will end as well. However, it looks like they want to continue because they are making a good amount of money out of casual and hard core boxing fans specially if Jake Paul will have a dance partner that is a legend like Mike Tyson in this case.
As long as money can be made this way, why would promoters stop those fights? It is basically free money to them and almost no one can say no to free money.

What it worries me is if it is possible those fights may have a negative effect on boxing over the long term, since there is no comparison between an exhibition fight and one in which both boxers are fighting for a championship, so those that are still not completely into boxing may be discouraged to watch more of it, as they find those exhibitions fights disappointing and they come to believe that is the level they can expect out of the best boxing matches.

Sure he will be training hard as Tyson has built his name to be a solid KO artist. But I doubt this will be a serious fight. It's called an "Exhibition fight" for a reason, no one will get harm especially the old guy and probably Jake Paul would be able to continue his career as a boxer now. There's still plenty of time to promote the fight, but the world knows it's Mike Tyson so they'll watch especially that it's broadcast in Netflix where membership is not expensive unlike paying a PPV subsciption.

Even though this fight will not be as we imagine, namely this fight will not be as serious as the fights shown by other boxers, you could say this is a very good moment because Jake Paul will try to fight Mike Tyson, a world boxer. legendary boxer. Even though Jake Paul is still relatively young, of course he is currently training hard to fight and defeat world boxer Mike Tyson and of course Mike Tyson also needs to be careful so that he is no longer young and his stamina is definitely less than before. .

If I'm not mistaken, the rules as are almost as close as a boxing match, so it should be legit as it should be. And there will be no protection from Jake Paul and Tyson is going to be the boxer that he is. Obviously he is going to be 58 years old during the fight, but I think he can still pull the trigger.

And I'm speculating that Tyson will come here not heavy, because he is trying as hard as he can here. Hopefully it will be as entertaining as we can get and not the fight just being rigged or both fighters are there to scam us because it's rigged from the beginning.

https://www.skysports.com/boxing/news/12183/13116565/katie-taylor-and-amanda-serrano-rematch-added-to-jake-paul-and-mike-tyson-show-in-july

Katie Taylor v Amanda Serrano rematch has been added to the undercard of the Paul/Tyson fight. Long time coming. I actually think Serrano won the first fight.

Hopefully they get some more decent fights on the card as this could be pretty huge for Netflix so makes sense to stack it. Maybe Netflix could end up competing with the Saudis for these big fights.

This one is at least a legit fight. Serrano deserves the rematch after all the fight is won by decision. This is something to watch out for on Netflix besides the main event. I don't really follow Women's boxing but it looks like they were rivals back then and Serrano seems to have a long experience in boxing with better KO power.

This fight might just the on the betting platforms while the main event may not be.

Apparently it's Netflix's tendency to invest in fights. It doesn't make much sense, but it's a niche to be explored. Apparently they will just be fights that will be promoted as they would have no appeal if not for Netflix.

It's a new venture for them to invest in boxing fights, they think that they can make a lot of money from it and so they got the most hype fighter in the whole exhibition fight genre and that is Jake Paul.

And then paying Tyson in millions, that is a big gamble for them but for sure they are counting on the popularity of Mike even though he is retired from pro-boxing. But Tyson has his own podcast if I'm not mistaken, and so he is still expose to fights and boxing fans and we still love him. So this is another way for him to make money and at the same time be active even at his age.

I see this as a way of Netflix to gain more subscribers. It doesn't necessarily make them create a lot of money with the new subscriptions due to this fight, but if we look at the long term result, these people that will subscribe which is considered as new, might just continue to renew their subs and that's where the Netflix are making more money consistently.

Make sense, because according to report, this event is free to view for the existing subscribers, so those who arent's subscribed with netflix for sure will pay for the subsciption since it's very affordable. Aside from their share on Netflix, these two are also gonna enjoy the revenue they'll make on the venue since people are gonna come to witness this exciting fight, they'll come to see Mike Tyson teach Jake Paul some lesson.

I think that Netflix did well in this fight venture, anyway, if it weren't for Netflix, any other streaming platform would love to have exclusive access to a fight by the legend Mike Tyson.

I think younger people don't understand how much GIANT is the name Mike Tyson, he is simply one of the greatest boxing fighters of all time, any fight of his is a giant event on planet earth.
the younger generation definitely knowing jake paul for his stunt in youtube and well aside from his ridiculous stunt that sometime just getting out of hand, they don't really know what mike tyson is capable in his younger days compared to jake paul but its also what makes it fun.
a former youtuber turning into a boxer fighting the legends, we will also see how mike tyson in his old day could hold up against the like of jake paul and even beat him, even having a draw its already a victory for mikey since he is significantly older yet can compete with younger generation of boxer its gonna be a lot of fun in the future.

Nope, i dont see for this fight to have no appeal even if they would be deciding to go with other mediums and not that using Netflix or using up the standard way on how these fights do really happen.
If we do really think up throughly then both parties would really be having that mutual benefit on which this isnt really just that Mike/Jake or this fight overall would be getting that attention but also same
goes with Netflix on boosting up when it comes to exposure knowing on that these dudes or fighters are really that known specially Tyson plus with that Clown Jake Paul.
They do know that they could really benefit to each other and this is why its not really that shocking that these kind of partnerships or agreements do really happen.
Its all about business yah know.  Kiss

They are willing to gamble in this venture, Sho and HBO are out, and their rival, Amazon prime has sign with PBC to stream their PPV fights if I'm not mistaken. And so Netflix will have to come out big, and most likely they reach to jake Paul and then they offer Mike Tyson $20 million for this fight.

Yes, it's like when younger generation hasn't watch Michael Jordan in his prime and then they have Lebron James as their GOAT. During Tyson's prime and prior of him going to jail, he was really scary in the ring and knockout almost all of his opponents in a brutal fashion.

I guess this is related to me. This is the first time someone tried to humiliate me in such a manner. Thanks Cheesy

Ok Mr. I-am-a-big-boxing-expert, give me your thoughts about who Jake should fight and what he should do to make boxing more popular, plus what Jake should do to earn. If you claim Jake wins are rigged and he fights only retired, old and disable people, then what are you doing here? If you know that Jake never fights a real challenger, then why not just come here July 21 and post "I told you" ? Dont like it, dont watch it. Nobody force you to watch Jake Paul fake boxing fights.

I wasn’t referencing anybody in particular. MMA fans were really loud leading up to Mayweather vs. McGregor. They also believed Anderson Silva was going to beat Jake because Silva had beaten a former boxing champion with drug addiction and mental health issues. Woodley was also another overhyped Jake Paul opponent. Some of it was wishful thinking, a lot of it is pure delusion.

I may or may not watch Jake Paul’s fight, it’s not really relevant. I’m only giving my opinion and refuting the mistaken belief, some people have, that Jake Paul has any credibility whatsoever as a professional boxer. If he wants to earn that credibility, there are plenty of lower ranked fringe contenders he could build his record against.

Then it is to bad that Jake is a media person, as he can not fight for just +1 in his win record, and is not going to let others earn on his name. A lot of people focus here on that he is doing that only for the sake of money. Those people forget that his opponent also get something for rigged beating. If Jakes was the only one to get paid, then I would understand all the hate and support that. But there are always two who play this game. I havent seen anyone being disappointed for loosing to Jake. Instead, people call him for a fight to earn. And that is what is wrong. People shout "pick me! pick me", "beat me! beat me! as I want to get rich!".
