To be candid, Dooglus didn't ask anyone for advice on the matter.

He stated that his solution was to pay out of his own pocket, and there is no better way to learn a lesson than that kind of pain.

This will surely instigate him to improve his withdrawal procedure or programming if relevant.
True, but still I think that operating as a fractional reserve would actually be much better for him: going on as he is now apparently is quite stressful...

on a side note, what about an 'investors only' chat room on JD?
it feels like they talk about things that might not be of interest to players, not that i know who all the investors are....
just a thought

are there any prizes or special rewards you can offer to players if they are also investors?

I think commision should be raised until most of the losses are covered.

20% of 0 is still 0.  We have a long way to go before most investors will pay any commission again.

I would not worry, Doog keeps almost everything in cold storage and he as trustworthy as they come.

Yes, I got paid out all my coins.
Sorry for panic mode

True, money wish he could probably not withdraw anyway since Doog would likely have caught it.  It does make you wonder if he has a real edge or is just really lucky.

On a positive note. This "whale" did lose all the money back. It's just an issue of where that money came from, but the system seemed to have done it's job.

Except that the whale always made money, the only time he did not was when he was playing with other peoples money.

dooglus from an objective investor perspective here this site is growing too quick too fast. I understand we all wanna get rich quick, but there are risks with rewards. This site IMO is not ready to start accepting action over 50BTC. There iS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT either. But with the size and influx this site has grown it should'nt come off as a big suprise.

I think we should scale down the operation and grow A LOT MORE SLOWLY and then "mistakes" or "errors" are less like to be as exasterbated and as threatening to your bottom line. YES we all want whales, but the MGM didnt start taking whales over night. This is where profiling comes in, but that's damn hard with BTC being made the way it is.

Moving forward what are we going to change to prevent this mistake again?
+1 to this
I proposed 0.1% max profit, that would still be 25 BTC per bet at current Bank roll.   I think the ability to gamble $2500 every 1/10th of a second is plenty and lowers our risk.

While I threw out a number just like you have I think we need a process in place to determine future growth if the company shrinks or grows. Why should we pick 0.1%? We should find a value that keeps investors happy if "something bad where to happen" like variance.

On a positive note. This "whale" did lose all the money back. It's just an issue of where that money came from, but the system seemed to have done it's job.

Couldn't disagree more. The average lifespan of a bitcoin operation is about 12 months before collapse.  Get rich quick or die trying.

The average lifespan of most businesses is about 12 months too... I think doog stands to make more money playing this game properly.

I think limiting max be to perhaps 0.025% would allow for less variance, and if the site gets more investors larger 200 bitcoin bets will be possible, just need over a 100,000 bitcoin invested.

He who owns the coins is he who can send them.

I hope this doesnt prevent the whale from continuing to use the site.

Probably should temp raise commission to 20% till shortfall is made up.  Unless investors pull out. Which I doubt will happen.
