How can I know how much is being kept outside in comparison to the amount invested in the whole site?

You can type "/supply" into the JD chat box.

It will tell you something like this:

Quote
13:25:30 INFO: 1,034,058 CLAM were dug up and 1,579,224 CLAM were staked for a total of 2,613,282 CLAM
13:25:30 INFO: Just-Dice's onsite bankroll of 921,578 CLAM represents 35.27% of that amount

You have to put them into the bankroll to earn profit from staking. And then you risk losing coins to winning players.

The rewards from staking almost always outweigh the losses to lucky players, but there is a chance you'll lose some CLAMs.

It means we only risk losing coins to lucky players, but won't gaining coins from unlucky players?

No. You also gain coins when players lose.

Is it possible you give us an option for staking only, or allow us putting for example 90% for staking and 10% for bankroll?

Yes. If you want to stake only you can run your own local wallet. Then you avoid the commission fee as well.

Not to be rude... FreeBitcoins will be offering a staking only option for people who want to be involved with CLAM staking, but are a bit timid about running their own wallet and don't want to take the risk verse players.

This will also fix the CLAM SPAM issue that FreeBitcoins is causing too.

(I'm not sure when this will actually happen, but it is coming after our next feature is released)

I still believe it is going to be more profitable to stake at JD than with FB though.

Hello,

If I just leave some CLAMS on JD without playing, will I win some interests from staking?
Do I have to invest my coins or just leave my balance as it to earn profit from staking?

Thanks

I like some dice projects such as bitdice, but I do not exactly know how to play, so I would like to buy some tokens and treat them as a long term investment, any advice?

Lol i totally forgot about my 100 clams that i left on this site for so long.

They have grown quite a bit Cheesy

That's the best way to do it - just forget about them for a while.

It appears that the data center that hosts Just-Dice is currently unreachable. I don't yet know what the problem is.

Edit: Well, it's back to normal. The data center denies that there was an outage...

they always claim that....

should give you a discount.

What solo stake size would be preferred; 5000 clams?

There is a rule of thumb I like for solo mining that applies to solo staking as well: Solo if you expect to find 50 blocks over your time horizon.

That's assuming you care about the variance at all. You may just be having fun with it and not care, in which case soloing with any amount can be fun/fine.

Has anyone seen v1rtu0so (1010)?  He owes me 1 BTC due to a bet he lost.  I am attaching a screenshot for reference.  Dooglus can verify that cody (1293553) == me by IP and my username is phish on JD UID 110.

From your picture... it doesn't appear to me that anyone owes you anything.

You both were half right and at the end you suggested a donation rather than him owing.  (My brother in law works at

I can contact v1rt however... for .01 BTC.

i'd prefer he donate it but would like proof otherwise i can personally donate it and ill show proof myself

It doesn't look like a bet to me, but it does look like v1 is offering to give you 1 BTC when BTC hits $2k. It wouldn't have been unclear whether he was joking or not without the 'screenshot for reference' line he followed up with - that makes me think he was serious. It also fits with what I know of v1 - historically he has been very generous, giving out money when he really didn't need to.

Phish opened up a support ticket to recover the cody account.

V1rt was in JD chat this afternoon and said if he could log into cody that he would pay him.

*shrugs*

Phish is goin to give me .1 BTC, I'm going to give V1rt .05 BTC back, Phish is going to donate .9 BTC to a charity of Phishes choice.

the account was already recovered and yes i agree with this arrangement.  payment addy is 1FxBrLirNNHdvCpqRWVwwtSqvHF2eaG3DQ

Phish was giving me .1 BTC of the 1 btc and then he's going to donate the .9.

Feel free to send .1 BTC directly or I trust phish to do what he said.

Dooglus, do you have a chart for invested amounts?

I was curious as to how that would look against price charts.

It's not something I log explicitly, although maybe 6 months ago I did start logging audit information every 10 minutes. That includes the bankroll total, so I could pull it from the logs that way.

Those log entries look like this:

2017-05-20 20:40:09 invest: 855154.76134207, balance: 30196.58906498, comm: 740.49233387, staked: 2.0003, escrow: 0, owed: 886093.84304092, hot: 22691.96024506, staking: 863402.21088017, shortfall: -0.32808431
2017-05-20 20:50:11 invest: 855161.59236687, balance: 30198.76021018, comm: 741.49246387, staked: 2.0002, escrow: 0, owed: 886103.84524092, hot: 22691.96024506, staking: 863412.21208017, shortfall: -0.32708431

ie. there's 855k CLAM in the bankroll, 30k in player balances, 740 in the commission purse, 2 CLAMs that have recently been staked and are ready to be given to investors, making a total of 886k in liabilities, while there's 22k in the hot wallet and 863k in the staking wallet, meaning that we have 0.32 CLAMs too much (due to charging slightly more as a withdrawal fee than it actually costs on average).
