This might have been mentioned already but is just-dice going to start a signature campaign? I am sure it would help boost it's popularity Smiley

Dooglus is the Sriracha Sauce of Crypto.

I doubt that he ever spends anything on any advertising for Just-dice (traditionally), but there is a chance that some investors may do a signature campaign.

Really people who invest should want to market it anyways, so that brings a better form of marketing.

How did he get his site to become so popular in the first place?

If more people play and invest in his site then he stands to earn more from the commissions he earns from the profits

I think the site's features and community is what sparked the popularity..
Well.. That and it's dooglus.

In doog we trust.

I will put the site back up ASAP. I'm guessing within the hour.

When the site's back up can you give a short tl;dr about what happened to cause it? Just for curiosity's sake. Love edge cases in programming, :p.

The issue is resolved and we're back up.

tl;dr: I wrote a nice "validate_number()" function to check the validity of all user input that I expect to be a number, then for some reason didn't use it when checking the tip amount value but basically re-wrote the function in place. It accepted all valid numbers, and rejected all invalid numbers except for a single "." with no digits, which parseFloat() correctly tells me is Not a Number.

Tomorrow I hope to put the "offsite investment" feature live, which will allow investors to move the bulk of their coins offsite while leaving them invested. Hopefully they'll move them somewhere less buggy.  Roll Eyes

The "offsite investment" feature will be great and I predict we will have some fun with it Grin
It may not move the CLAM market price significantly.

Interesting bug, thanks for explaining it (as a still-learning programmer, these things are invaluable for learning)! And looking forward to the update tomorrow!

JD is currently down while doog investigates a possible database derp.
User "Catman-dude" had his balance go to "NaN" and doog stopped the site and took it offline to investigate.
No need to panic, Your CLAM is safe on the site and I expect that JD will be up within the next few hours.

True story.

Nothing to worry about - I took the site down because I was worried that the problem could be more widespread, but it looks like onto Catman was affected.

I will put the site back up ASAP. I'm guessing within the hour.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

so when will this new feature be available on the real CLAM site?
(not doge shitcoin test site)

mention a date when we will be able to enjoy this feature dooglus  Wink

The testing is going well. I still need to limit changes in user offsite balances to maybe 5 changes per day, because the test site suggests that otherwise people will mess with it constantly which is annoying for players. Aiming at a constantly changing maximum profit gets tiresome fast.

I also need to add some documentation and warnings. It's easy to lose your whole balance very quickly if you use the /cold feature without understanding it.

I have it sharing out the stakes based only on onsite investment amounts now.

I guess I'll be putting it on JD in 2 or 3 days.

Edit2: BayAreaCoins deleted his post and now my first edit makes no sense at all!

hehe my bad!

I figured having a voice of reason would be best next to dipshit calling it a Cartel rather than me comparing CLAM to a festival Tongue

My Thought would be Doog needs to sell Clams for BTC or USD to put back liquidity into CLAMS as JD now has 70% centralization.

I don't know if you noticed, but I'm actively working towards reducing the centralization to below 50%.

THIS IS A CARTEL

No, it isn't.

There's no association conspiring to maintain high prices. There's a free market with thousands of CLAM available much cheaper now than they were a few days ago. Anyone is able to buy CLAM and invest it in JD, or divest their CLAM from JD and sell it on the markets. The issue is that JD has been paying great returns, and so has attracted a lot of coins. There's nothing anti-competitive about it. If you make something which pays a better return I'm sure coins will flock to it. Maybe don't associate the 'uv' name with it though.

Edit: jinx you owe me a soda!

12:28:05 INFO: 61,021 of 3,208,032 sets of 4.60545574 CLAM were dug up so far from the initial distribution
12:28:05 INFO: 281,030 CLAM were dug up and 191,498 CLAM were staked for a total of 472,527 CLAM
12:28:05 INFO: Just-Dice's bankroll of 330,507 CLAM represents 69.94% of that amount
12:28:05 INFO: if all the distributed CLAMs were dug up, the total money supply would be 14,965,899 CLAM

Market Cap of CLAM 472.527k (472,527) CLAM = 341.0541338071k (341,054.1338070636) USD

JD opened 6 weeks
JD Profit 33222 JD Site Staked 37564  = 70786

Value of Coins if not exchanged
70.786k (70,786) CLAM = 51.3164661461k (51,316.466146056) USD

Today

Daily USD Cummulative Staked and Profit

JD Market Cap if Doog sold his earned weekly Clam for USD -  $10,000 USD (10% in 6 weeks) x 8 (6weeks week segements in a year) x 10 years = $860,000 USD

** With the value of BTC sub $200 and Clams in theory being a JD Coin at this point the Clam/BTC 0.0040 should increase **

My Thought would be Doog needs to sell Clams for BTC or USD to put back liquidity into CLAMS as JD now has 70% centralization.  THIS IS A CARTEL
