These bear markets are basically for clearing the market from the useless stuff. I mean during the bull run there is a good chance that we end up with a thousand coins that people invest into, and they are usually shitcoins and scams as well and people fall for it. While bitcoin and the likes go up, there is a chance that all  others end up going up too.
We can see and consider this. After this bearish market, we will know which altcoins can survive and continue their projects very well and which will be dead soon. After the hype that may happen in some altcoins, most of them commonly will fall down and cannot survive during this dramatic bearish era. Moreover, during this bearish era, there are so many FUD that we can get. The FUD is much higher than previously, moreover after the worst happening on Luna and FTX, this really becomes a warning for us. Investing in altcoin is very risky high risk.  Many projects always promise they are the best projects with the best concept, but, they are not able to survive during this bearish market  Grin Grin

Just how bad is the bear market right now?
Historically low prices have endured for a longer period of time in the present bear market cycle than in any other.
Bitcoin price is at $16.8k at this time and it''s lower than what we had in early this December. That means the altcoin price is also going down reacting to this Bitcoin's price down. For people who have bought altcoin with high price in this early December, then would recommend to wait for a bit because the price would continue to fall considering the situation right now.
even though I think it could hardly fall again in regard of the price of bitcoin I think it indeed make sense just to wait until the situation gets somewhat better, considering the fact that there's still so many things that could make the current downtrend worse like many lays off and also the economic crisis I think honestly it's wiser to just invest in the next year but of course if you have the money doing accumulation in this current trend could score tremendous returns.

This bear market is so bad for short term and long term users especially for those whose first entry was above 50k . DCA is best option but I think if someone start DCA from 50k now fund will be also zero. I have sold all my tokens before December and now feeling very cool. I think we can see BTC Below 12k which will be another blow For Holders.

Not really, a bear market is a good opportunity for new investors to come in.  The current bear market isn't worse than the previous bear market we experienced.  As far as I can recall, they have the same thing, hacks, scams, company-turning fraud, and bankruptcy.  It is a normal thing in a bear market so I can say, the market is just as bad as the previous one and like the previous one, the market will eventually recover.

It is bad for those who purchase near ATH. But I believe it isn't that bad if we talk long term since most of us believe that BTC will surpass it's all time high next bull market. The only consequence of those who bought at higher price and doing long term is the bigger profit opportunity they can achieve when bitcoin finally surpass it's ATH. I also don't think that it is a bad thing for holders that bitcoin will take another dip especially if the holder is accumulating, A long term holder wouldn't mind their asset value for now if they plan on holding it for a long time. Prices are expected to go down at bear market and big dips are expected that's why I will not be shock if the market still go down.
What you say is true, however most of those that bought their bitcoin for the first time near the all time high probably never had any intentions to hold their coins for so long and endure such difficult market conditions, they were most likely thinking about making some easy and quick money with bitcoin only for their expectations to be subverted, and if that is the case then it is going to be incredibly difficult for them to hold their coins, assuming they still have any bitcoin at all right now.

The 'Bear Market' is really bad right now sad to admit.  We have seen the price of Bitcoin between 16k and 18k for some time now.  It is still very uncertain when this 'Bear Market' will end but some people think the Bull Market will start early 2023 and this something I want to believe is going to happen.

When the price was 18k I saw many people talk about how we have hit the rock bottom in Bitcoin price and it can only go up from here. Soon after that the price went back down to 16,500 so at this point we really do not know when it will end.

So, we drop the bitcoin price and few good ones, but we crash and burn all the shitcoins and scam coins which will never recover. Then when they are all gone and done, and all these bad news are out of the way, we end up working towards making sure that the ones who will profit from the bull run is the real good ones.

Might the others will feel bad, especially the beginners but for me and those who have experience from the past bear season, we'd see the market is still healthy. Yes, we can see a lot of altcoins are in huge dumps but this is not we measure the market if it is really in bad condition. In fact, I have not surprised how this is going to happen with projects that are no use-case and surely got rejected by the investors.

Just look at the top coins OP, you will see their price is still higher compared to the past bear season. Meaning, their status is still pretty good and the demand still high.

This depends on too many factors like the price at which you bought and whether you have any previous experience dealing with bear markets, the average price at which I bought my coins is lower than the current price and I have already experimented a bear market before, so I will say that I am very comfortable right now, but for someone that bought at a price close to the all time high and has not experimented a bear market before then it is likely the current market conditions are like hell for them.

Every body before investing need to educate himself on the 4 year cycle that works around the bitcoin halving. And a little advice buy low and sell high but yes, it’s almost time to buy. I believe ETH will drop slightly under $1000 but you never now. Do your own research and don’t believe on YouTube because I’m certain 95% of them are just guessing.
Good advice to buy low and sell high. But perhaps even you don't always manage to do that. Although I agree that now might be a good time to buy cryptocurrencies because so many altcoins are at a historic low. But if something goes wrong and the market falls even lower after buying, not many people will be able to handle the panic. If everyone bought low and sold high, everyone would be rich.

The bear is not really bad if we can understand the market right now. We are all waiting for Bitcoin to take a bold move so that the rest altcoins will take a bold move too. Once the market keep going bullish other altcoins too will move upward and everything will keep going up. I am very positive about the market right now because this is the time to buy and accumulate.

All bear markets are severe for some projects, while deadly to others. For now, it seems that we're holding the base and starting a new accummulation phase. Of yhis is actually what is happening, I guess that it wasnt that bad after all.

no it's not as bad as you think even before it's way worse than the current cycle remember there's only 1 year for the bear market the rest are recovery and bullish cycles so this year is full bearish and we'll see but people ignore it even leave it even though bitcoin has gone through several 4 year cycles so just giving advice take as much as you can for this year so you can reap the rewards in the next year, good luck at least holding it till early 2024  Wink

Yes, right, and as usual the market will surely recover soon. It's part of the cycle of the crypto market as well as the stock and forex and the best opportunity is to hoard as we can before the bull run begins because it is a big loss for us if we are left out again.

2024 might be different since some are predicting that 2025 will start the bull run, also from tradingview members they are predicting that this will happen but it might be different.

I don't think is the longest bear season, actually nothing to panic about the market and basically is inevitable which is one paramount thing in the crypto industry that complete the circle of bear and the bull, they both dependant of each other's to form the season.
Besides the recent occurrences have really weaken the mind of investors although I still believe that their are lot of people who would actually take advantage of the current situation to buy more while most people are still considering the market conditions.

while our experiences can tell more yet there are still chances that it will change depend on the mood of the market and investors , what if all of the biggest investors had one goal in each year? and that is to maintain the bear for a while when many are expecting to be bullish?
this will surely change the plans and the movement.
hate to see that but I am always ready for that. because I can at least maintain my holdings or keep it selling.

Large investors do just that, they have one goal, they accumulate their positions for a very long time, the entire bear market is certain accumulation zones in which they buy. Then comes the moment of waiting, as you said, for one goal. And when the price reaches the right levels, they sell. It is much easier to achieve one big goal than to focus on many small tasks, it takes much more time and unfocuses us, which will lead to errors and possibly to comparatively worse results.

I've been into different market cycles through years and my personal view about the bearish season has been changing yearly. I used to see it as a bad thing and I also thought that I could just lose my funds in it but I started appreciating it when I saw its importance. I've realized that the bearish season is an open opportunity for everyone to buy and accumulate potential coins. It isn't something to be feared but it's an opportunity to buy and hold.
