People seem to enjoy some of the content previews I've posted so here's another for you!

Today's update for the apex/triumph servers will include a bunch of cat merchandise for people who want to wear some cute yet stylish garments and weapons. Total list includes...

2 garments (white and black version)
2 bow styles
2 club styles
1 blade style
1 shield style
1 backsword style

http://i.epvpimg.com/CFmJe.gif

They are admittedly quite silly but I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. I'm excited to see how our players react to them Smiley

That chick is fucking hot! How long does it take you or your employees to make that design and implement it to the game. Just wondering.

These are based on existing designs which I've tweaked by mixing and matching existing effects and re-coloring/editing as needed.

I'm pretty useless when it comes to art but I've been doing this long enough that I can slap together something from existing parts pretty well. Sadly right now we have no artists doing work for us. The one we had missed every deadline he promised so we had to let him go. These weapons/garments took me around 5 hours today which is pretty low considering that's less than a hour per item.

Thank you for the information. Once I'm done work, I'll be downloading the game....its been far too long since I've played conquer. Miss hopping around like a lunatic Tongue

One last question - what's the ratio of English language : other? Last time I played, everyone was Filipino or Brazilian....which made it hard to form parties.

Thanks again!

On the apex server we have a rule of English only when sending server-wide messages (broadcast/service chat). There are a significant group of Filipino players playing on Apex but due to those rules they tend to use guild chat or friend channels to communicate. The reason for that rule is that we have rules regarding service chat and we cant enforce them if we cant read what's being said (no real life sales, no real world threads and verbal abuse, etc)

The majority of players on Apex are English speaking players.

Triumph is more heavily skewed towards Egyptian players as it is hosted in Europe. It's definitely our smaller market but the cross-server wars every Saturday make for a very entertaining fight. In that war, all players have equal gears and stats to make a level playing field.

Do you plan to start sig campaign with JEWELS?

Yes, we will be doing one in the coming weeks.

And what about issuing stocks of your company?

That's not something we plan to do. Obviously there are ways to do something like that which is fair to investors and to our players but I would be concerned it would put unnecessary pressure on the project to force very quick temporary returns. We have a really solid understanding of what our players expect and are willing to put up with in terms of monitization and we'd much rather be profitable for years to come rather than getting an initial spike of earnings and dying off within 6 months.

I personally invested a small bits and quite happy with my results.

Thank you so much for your support. We really do appreciate it!

Offer escrow, receive negative trust
Im not here to start an argument but the dev from game credits claims to be way more advanced then Jewels and from what I've read I dont understand why he's saying that. Does anyone here know why the dev is making these claims?

Here is the posts if you want to read them.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.15653461

Looking at their thread it appears as though they have a lot of infrastructure already in place as they've been around for a couple of years. The main difference is that they are aiming to be a 'universal gaming cryptocurrency' where we are keeping our scope more narrowed on the following main uses.

-Built in demand from apex, triumph and heroes servers
-Expanded demand from standalone provably fair gambling apps (available in heroes AND as their own separate website+mobile apps)
-Expanded reach by implementing our gambling games into other games and projects
-Development of our own fully custom MMO (client and server full re-design and development with crypto as a foundation for the economy)

Their focus seems to be on being a one stop payment and integration solution for cryptocurrency which is quite different. We are instead focusing on the actual gaming products we have experience in developing relying on cryptocurrency technology to act as a solid foundation for future growth.

Short version we are aiming to be different things.

A crypto-backed Conquer Online server?

Is this real life?  Christmas in July?!

Please tell me its true - I can also help out in any way I can with this project - do you guys have a slack channel that I could join?

Good luck!

Yes but it's much more than simply integrating a coin into conquer.

The jewels will be integrated fully into our conquer servers, we will be developing a series of provably fair gambling games (available inside our servers and out) as well as working on developing a fully custom game inspired by conquer.

Sorry but our development is kept private currently and we do not have a public slack channel. We do have a public teamspeak which players often use for group PVP events but it's not really a dev chat environment.

Here's a nice example https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/dragon-knights-of-valeria-dps-release-information-1435190

I personally invested a small bits and quite happy with my results.

I'd join their signature campaign if they started one, it would be a wise idea in the last couple of weeks.

From reading the thread and posts from dev, it doesn't look like that will be happening. (stocks)

The nice example you linked had no interest other than you by the looks of it.

This already has a big player base and the main point I have gathered is to integrate Jewels as the in game currency, there'd be no need to offer stocks as well as raising funds from a crowd sale.

But, look forward to hearing from the devs on your question.

Cool game, project, idea and ico. I'm going to watch for now and maybe I'll invest in the end.

It is a very well made game, the dev clearly knows what he is doing.

We want to thank everyone so far who has shown their support in the thread and financially as well as those who've taken the time to try out our game and offer us feedback. We're only a few days in with still 27 days left and we've already raised around $2,500.00.

Thanks everyone!

I'm sending in btc too so don't worry. more will come in before the end for sure from me.

after i have just read up and researched the team and played game, i will also be sending btc to be part of this, jewels as the in game currency for so many players will give us a lot of demand and when the gambling games come out i will use some of my jewels to play them as they are provably fair. what a fantastic project you have got here.

Slightly off topic but here's a very brief video covering the horse racing system that will be available in the Heroes server.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E42aGK5xeIs

I'm posting this here because it's showing not only existing content the game will have for players but also is a significant use case for jewels. We've done similar cosmetic systems in the past for weapons and armor and they have proven very popular (selling for between 5-25 USD/each on average).

We already have dozens of usable mount skins and we have approximately 50 more waiting to be added over time. We'll be doing bi-weekly content releases after the launch of the new server so that the game remains fresh and enjoyable for the players and also to ensure that the jewels shop remains active and useful. Our jewels shop will allow for one click USD>Jewels purchases as well as allowing you to load in jewels from any exchange you wish. This constant demand for jewels from players will help to maintain healthy value for the currency through the exchanges directly and through re-purchasing we will need to do to restore the paypal fund.

Hopefully people here enjoy the quick overview. I'm super excited to start doing some of these horse races. They provide a nice break from the PVP action and yet are still competitive and rewarding. Because the mounts you buy with the horse racing points are temporary (expire after 7 days) it nicely encourages people to spend the money to get the permanent version Smiley

I did enjoy the overview, very much actually. The horses and animals your were changing through, they were amazing. Can you pot pictures of them so I can see them better. It was hard to see them but a few looked real cool and i may want to pick them to play with when I'm ready.
thanks.

Firstly,

I would ask that the community thanks KingArbin for bringing to my attention such a great looking project.

For sure, we definitely appreciate the advertisement he's been doing. We're in talks with him right now to try to work something out that's favorable to both sides. Also welcome to the thread, if you have questions just let us know. I try to check the thread at least a few times per day.

Great concept - the only thing I'm not sure is about that PayPal integration; it's a great feature, but since your coin will probably get listed on exchanges changing your fixed rate on PayPal jewels everyday or week won't appeal to much to players who won't be into speculation (eg. one day they will see they get 100 jewels for 1$ and the next week maybe only 30 jewels for $1 due to markets - that might put them off to buy anything in the future).

Agreed. The paypal prices will be (significantly) higher than what you would pay on an exchange so that we do not need to keep adjusting the price. The vast majority of average players are not willing to go to an exchange and deal with crypto. That's what the paypal option exists for. If they are paying twice as much as they would on an exchange, that wont actually effect them and it still leaves us needing to go to an exchange to re-buy coins. Those who want to and are willing to deal with crypto are welcome to go direct to exchanges to purchase their coins and easily deposit them to their wallets. We will of course have tutorials available to players on how to do that but we strongly suspect that will mostly be people playing the jewels gambling games and not those simply buying coins to purchase in-game items.

Interesting turn of events with the blockchain dynamics. Im sure the upcoming show will be a great one to tune in to. I also like the idea of partnering with c2 and more importantly hypercoin.
Can you tell us if this is in the works yet?

We've discussed the logistics with our team and we've reached out to KingArbin. At this point it boils down to hammering out details and making an agreement. Can't really say much past that though until everything's set in stone. We're definitely interested our only caveat is we don't want it integrated as a alternate in-game currency as it would be confusing to our players. Having the ability to deposit c2/hypercoin into your jewels wallet (automating the exchange process) is more the route we're thinking.

I wrote back Chris, also placed another offer on the table, I need a little help.
