Incidentally, if anyone ever gets into a dispute with Kano and/or CKolivas on Bitcointalk, and the following users appear in the thread to uncritically back every word that Kano/CK says:

Huh
Dafuq are you smoking? I, truly, think this is the first thing Kano and I have ever agreed on...

You are calling Kano unreliable for fucking zero reasons, payouts have always came in time and just in the way that's been told us.
I can't see how you are here now "helping" us miners.

Kano is reliable: reliably unpredictable.

He's a psychologically damaged man-child, constantly seeking the attention and the approval he was likely deprived of growing up, and all too willing to behave in an apallingly anti-social manner in order to soothe his miniature ego.

Trusting a supposed adult that can't clean that act up with your money is not sensible, he's too temperamental to be running any kind of asset trust.
Not true. He is a very helpful and trustworthy pool operator.
And the pool is great.
You can't say the same about Antpool or F2pool for example.

Can we start a new conspiracy thread to continue this discussion? There I will reveal how Ck and Kano are CIA and I am a paid shill.

We should reserve this thread for chicken sacrifices and finding blocks (reward money then used to fund our black operations to subvert btc  Wink

....then don't worry. The fact that they're behaving as if they literally are Kano and CK arguing for themselves, probably means that these are the sock puppet accounts that Kano and CK used to kick this thread off, so that it didn't look like a graveyard to miners shopping for pools.

Gentlemen, stick to computer/hardware programming. Your internet bullying abilities leave much to be desired.
Well this is a crazy and a false accusement.  Tongue

Sounds like someone is drinking the cough syrup again. Pretty pitiful. Kindly go away and stop cluttering up our pool forum with your cry-baby non-sense.
I've got you on "Ignore", yet your shit still clutters up our space. Please, someone go ahead and ban this idiot.

Get out of your momma's basement and go play outside. Shesh....

P.S. Your accusations are pretty funny and are laughable, but still pathetic.

You should be concerned about the operators of the CKPool in which case, one of whom made an egregiously false statement about Bitcoin development because he was bored or emotional one Saturday afternoon.

What do you think someone that fickle and highly strung might do with your balance of BTC held at this pool?

Well, I'm glad to have your agreement on this issue...
Seems that English is not your first language and I have to be more clear:

  • No one agrees with you,
  • Trolling Kano's thread to call him a "troll" makes you a total hypocrite, and
  • Kano registering a concern is not trolling

Kano's talking about banning me from Bitcointalk, I don't mine on his pool (although I am a miner)

--snip

Since you do not mine on this pool, go the hell away and quit clogging up our pool with your ranting. Thank you.

Mine at Jonny's Pool
Reading through the comments, my understanding is that a 0.13.1 node will fill its outgoing connections with other 0.13.1 nodes on priority, and only connect to non-0.13.1 nodes if it cannot find any 0.13.1 nodes to connect to.  It will accept inbound connections from any version.

Looking at one of my own 0.13.1 daemons, I get the following from calling getpeerinfo (I snipped a lot to only show relevant info):
Code:
[
  {
    "id": 6,
    "addr": "84.245.27.185:8333",
    "addrlocal": "50.2.189.35:42918",
    "services": "0000000000000005",
    "relaytxes": true,
    "lastsend": 1480270212,
    "lastrecv": 1480270213,
    "bytessent": 224159059,
    "bytesrecv": 582881556,
    "conntime": 1478943142,
    "timeoffset": -6,
    "pingtime": 0.120353,
    "minping": 0.11485,
    "version": 70012,
    "subver": "/Satoshi:0.12.0/",
    "inbound": false,
    "startingheight": 438527,
    "banscore": 0,
    "synced_headers": 440804,
    "synced_blocks": 440804,
    "inflight": [
    ],
...
{
    "id": 17,
    "addr": "213.251.186.216:8333",
    "addrlocal": "50.2.189.35:51776",
    "services": "0000000000000005",
    "relaytxes": true,
    "lastsend": 1480270212,
    "lastrecv": 1480270212,
    "bytessent": 295398321,
    "bytesrecv": 125067139,
    "conntime": 1478943165,
    "timeoffset": 0,
    "pingtime": 0.209322,
    "minping": 0.10465,
    "version": 70014,
    "subver": "/Satoshi:0.13.0/",
    "inbound": false,
    "startingheight": 438527,
    "banscore": 0,
    "synced_headers": 440852,
    "synced_blocks": 440852,
    "inflight": [
    ],

Based on that, I can clearly see I've got outbound connections to nodes with a version lower than 0.13.1.  Here's the call to getinfo (balance removed):
Code:
{
  "version": 130100,
  "protocolversion": 70014,
  "walletversion": 60000,
  "blocks": 440852,
  "timeoffset": 0,
  "connections": 125,
  "proxy": "",
  "difficulty": 281800917193.1958,
  "testnet": false,
  "keypoololdest": 1452577986,
  "keypoolsize": 100,
  "paytxfee": 0.00000000,
  "relayfee": 0.00005000,
  "errors": ""
}

So, I'm running a 0.13.1 node that has outbound connections to nodes with a version less than 0.13.1.

Well my screwy S9 has started xing out again. Hopefully a night off and a restart tomorrow will bring it back to close to normal again. One of these days that's not going to work anymore. I have a feeling it is the controller. Which part of the controller I don't know. I really hate to be pulling that sucker apart again and swapping out parts to trouble-shoot the problem. Doing that makes for two miners off-line, not just one. %#%^&%$#%^&& Bitman!
There goes my 5Nd

When/if I get it repaired I will be going through Colorado. No more shipping parts to china for hundreds of dollars!

I wish Canaan had been a real competition as far as hash/cash. But if it comes down to it, I'll just plug in one of my old S7's and over-clock it up to about 725 - It's cold enough here for that now with no worriers about over heating - until I can get the part -eventually - repaired. Damn crappy (expensive) cheap manufacturing!!  POS Angry

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Come on BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! Fall, you MthrFvkn block!

Sorry for the OT.

I plugged back in the crappy S9 that began showing errors last night. After a few minutes, X's started appearing in mass, at random on two of the boards. Changed the frequency to 550Mhz (it's supposed to be a 600Mhz miner), and restarted again.

It's been running about 20 minutes now with just 4 or 5 x's on one board. This was how it has run for the last week or so. It's now averaging 11TH for the miner. Hopefully it will hang in there and stay like that. I'm in no mood to be screwing around with hardware trouble-shooting this Sunday morning!  Tongue

So I will have to mine with ~48TH on the pool for awhile until I can straighten out this wayward miner. A sledge hammer comes to mind as a good tool for this purpose.... Smiley

Mine on!!! Smiley

EDIT: Having one of four S9 miners off-line for about 12 hours put a big dent in my shift graft. It was looking so pretty and steady.  Angry

Banks is a moron!

While I'm the 1st to call Kano on anything that I think he says being bullshit, I cannot (for the life of me) see how pointing out a flaw in application is "trolling"  Huh
Well there's a whole thread where he can post as he likes on that subject.
I've even left his link to it in my reply to his first post on it Tongue
Just seems that's not good enough for him ...

   Far be for me to judge whom is right or wrong.
It is your pool and you have the ability to ban an ip for reasons you think are correct.

I am assuming you banned him for good reasons.

I am assuming he thinks you banned him for bad reasons.

No, he's not a miner.
If you look at my post on the previous page, I included what he first posted (but deleted his first post)
Since then he's posted that message, again, and again, and again, almost 40 times in this thread.
I keep deleting the repeat posts (and anything else extra of the few other posts he's done)
It would seem that being on the previous page is too much for him to deal with.
I always could just delete it all completely, but for now I've left my reply that includes his original post.
