block 424284 was snatched from antpoo !
Heh yeah that was the last block I saw just before I went to sleep ... I didn't notice it was an orphan race ... was rather late 
It was confirmed by BTCC so we got our block to BTCC faster than antpoo did
Checking the actual relay log (in china) at that time ...

The weird thing about it was that the timestamp in it "2016-08-08 16:37:40" was 1.5 minutes before the fupool block that we both confirmed, so they are certainly setting the timestamps in the blocks back in time for some reason.
Timestamps aren't accurate, but 'usually' represent when the work was sent to the miner, or a small amount of rolling forward after that.

I wonder if antpoo is hiding their orphans there now that they own it ... like they hide hardware errors and stales in their cgminer clone
Great technical analysis. I'm certainly glad someone knows, in depth, the inner-working of how BTC, the BTC Chain, and pools are supposed to operate. I'm also glad we have two of the best minds in the business running our pool!!

My reward went down a little bit these past 2 blocks. Is that because of the new hashing power that has come online?
Yup...you are correct, Grasshopper...our individual percentages decrease as the pool hash rate increases...but the balance is we find more blocks.
We *should* find more blocks. Luck being what it is, it's very possible that we don't! She is a fickle woman!
Let's not be pessimistic...or use personal attacks against firetreeactual or anyone else here.

Looks like I picked a lucky time to have some rental hash giving me a boost! I'm not always that lucky. But I'm happy!
I was reading through the thread -- and was thinking the exact same thing by the time I got to the last post.
You definitely timed that well!
I lucked into it. But I have always taken the good with the bad, just this time there is more good than bad happening!
So far, I like the added hash speed on the pool. It seems to have helped in our block frequency.
