What can I check?

can you look at the gui of the gear?

I have this issue with my avalon 6's at times.

the gui shows full speed   but kano shows 40 to 60%

I solved it by not doing big daisy chains  .  ie 1 rasp pi for 1 or 2  avalon6's    seems to solve the problem

Block by citronick and his QueenJuvia!  That is his 7th Kano Block!

Wowo Juvia - what a surprise!

The BTC Mountain Goddess like spicy fried wings!

Note: this is a cheap rental from EU-NH pointed to "fr.kano.is:3333" testing the other day, i just refilled it again since the node is quite stable and the rental was cheap, plus my rental fund is at healthy level.
That was the first FR block Cheesy

The final weekly CDF prize:

wmtomlinso has kept the lead this past week with the best CDF before Sunday.
So he gets ~0.25BTC from my free from the first 2 blocks for Sunday that we've already got.
That'll go to your payout address today.

Leading CDF details for this and the Avalon6 are here as usual:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8895607

2 days left to see who's in the draw for the final Avalon6 prize!

Spammers regularly harvest addresses from block explorers and send minuscule amounts to them. This is one example and didn't come from the pool.

Really? Wow. Is there any danger from them sending coins to an account?
Thanks for the info!

Edit: What do they gain since a person cannot really tell where it came from? Is it just to verify an account is active at that address?
Very interesting.

It is to attempt to scam people. If you check at blockchain.info, which is the block explorer most people use I think, your allowed to add a message for the transaction in the blockchain.info web wallet. If you look at the transaction, the message on top is advertising a ponzi scam, that probably doesn't even pay out.

There isn't any danger, other than making a transaction larger if the small 5 cents is included as an input.

Thanks for the information. I didn't even see or notice a message.

Was there a payment made from the Kano pool for .0001 BTC @ approximately 6:18 AM EST May 29?

It was only for $0.05, but I have no idea where it came from.

It doesn't show on the "Payments" page.

Anyone else get a mystery nickel?

Let's find some BLOCKS!  Grin

+1

I also got it, not sure why. I'll read back the thread in case it was expected.

It seems many people did.

Quick question on dust now that we are up to 42 ph or more.

What hash rate is needed to not be dust.

2th?

I ask as I have 1 lone s-7 running on one account.

I have it clocked to 3800 gh.

For,noise heat and power control.

Take the pool hash (PHs) x 4 = (GHs).  @ 42PHs, 168GHs will borderline dust.

EDIT: Wowzers...with spot doing what it is, dust could be more like $7.50 than $.05 by 1600...  Roll Eyes  AND...just saw Con's comment on the payments.  I had no clue that existed, but people will try anything. I'm also a bit foggy as to what they could do with it, but oh, well...

Looks like we might see $550 very soon!

Edit:
I'm getting dizzy watching the price/volume... Wink

My thoughts also since other pool members received it.
Good luck with the OS.

Thanks...it's fine now. I wanted to upgrade from Ubuntu 14.01 LTS to 16.04 LTS, but got screwed by a bad video driver on the first "leg" of the version-by-version stepping to get there. The nice part, though, is that doing a clean install with 16.04 went smoothly, and since all my software is open-source, it didn't take long to get everything back up. Core's been catching up since yesterday morning (had the whole history to scan). 24 wks behind at the moment.

I dumped almost everything MicroSloth (except Skype) mid-2015. Never looked back.  Cool
