Anyone else getting dns issues resolving Kano.is?
Although I get alerts when there are DNS problems, I just checked all 4 of my DNS servers and they are all OK.There's 4 DNS servers (and I run them) each with a different provider including one in China

Which are the rewards based on share rate or hash rate?
Neither.They're calculated from the valid shares you submit.
POW Proof of Work - that's what a share is (and it's impossible to fake it - since it takes more work to fake it than to do it)

Time between blocks at 100 percent luck is around 37 hours at the current hash rate and keep in mind that that is going to change tomorrow when the difficulty changes sometime tomorrow.
I think he was talking about the time between each block on the network being longer than the normal 10 minute average...
