i coulddnt stay away i pointed back my mini farm
of 4 s1's
1 s2
4 compac sticks

and also pointed a small 5+th rental here
That's not so much a mini farm as a... veggie patch?

Anyway with the other posts on this thread it is slowly turning into a combined marketplace/services thread and getting way offtopic. Can we try to keep to posts relevant to the pool only please?

Those are some good links.  The $9,000 for 35Th is the best pricing.  Still I could rent an 7PH for a day or 77TH until the halving for the cost.  I may watch the marketplace link.  I just need one cheap used A6 or S7 until the halving rigs.  The prices for the conditions are just wack, but I can't seem to shut off my sp20 so if I get the coin IMA get one.  I mean it's the halving plus summer approaches...  Gotta be some price breaking soon.

'The right to privacy matters'
and we have a confirm from slush many minutes later so it can not be stolen correct?
Firstly Smiley
If I'm awake and using my computer I know about orphan races when they start.
.. so most of the time.
(Yes I watched the last orphan race and was actually about to post about it when antpoo confirmed the BW block)

The block after an orphan race decides the winner ... most of the time:
The only time it doesn't decide it, is if another orphan race occurs on the next block (which is ever so extremely rare) and the sides of the 2nd race are on both the different blocks in the first race ... so yeah this just about never happens.
Also even more rare, an orphan race can be more than 2 blocks in the race, but I don't know if that has ever happened yet.

So yep, it's pretty certain that as soon as someone sends out the next block, the orphan race has been decided.

--

Now, when can a block that's not in an orphan race be lost? The main reasons would be:

1) If no one actually knows about the orphan race coz the other side didn't send out their block soon enough (or at all) ... they could then confirm their own block and thus orphan the previous network block ... if they managed to find the next block before anyone else did.
So the bigger the pool, the greater their chance of doing this ... if they used this tactic Tongue

2) If you mine a block that the majority of the network will consider invalid ... at some point ... then yep your block will be orphaned.

I see problems increasing after the   1/2 ing      well time will see.

Available rental speed in nh is in the crapper, 8ph for wh

9.7 now.  What is it normally?  I never paid attention to it before.

NH is usually 4-5PH and WH is usually 12-13PH...when the prices get too low the machine owners stop mining to NH which makes less hash to rent.

Lost another orphan race to the GFW Sad

Ok what is GFW stand for?
That would be the Great FireWall (Great like in Great Wall of China, not like it's good or anything...!)

The GFW    TRAPS Chinese located gear in China.

I used to have li host ½ my miners in China  and they suffered terrible packet loss pointed outside of China  so I pointed the gear at F2pool.

Eventually I saw the economic issue this causes All of crypto coin.  So I sold all my Chinese gear and hash off.

There are two issues happening the small Chinese guy by small 10 s-7's or less  has to point his gear inside China or get bitch slapped by the GFW.

I broke down F2Pools pay outs and ⅓ of their hash are small miners that is 110ph  Since 90% of f2pool's gear is in China I estimate 90 to 100 ph of the hash they have are regular small guys  that simply are stuck pointing gear at a Chinese pool  that is not good for BTC.

Big mines in China  certainly are not pointing much gear outside the firewall .  And most of them  are built with bitmaintech s-7's and s-7+ gear.  We are at a cross roads. A company outside China like bitfury simpl y show a demo of killer gear and bitmaintech ramps up the hash rate just to threaten bitfury into not selling chips.

I estimate on any day of the week bitmaintech can add 100 to 200 ph as a threat to not compete.
The ½ ing will be very interesting to say the least.
