CKDB crashed at 23:01:47 UTC
No miners were affected since it was ckdb only, not ckpool.

Since it's so big it took 10 minutes (and 11 seconds) to crash (to write the core file) Tongue
It's on it's way back up again and should be all back to normal in less than 5 more minutes.

Edit: restart complete at 23:26:07.943 UTC
Edit2: yes I am working on fixing it so it doesn't happen due to the same cause again - the core dump showed clearly why (if anyone was wondering)

If you were running Windows your core file would've just said "I fell over" Smiley

Love it when *nix boxes provide a ton of info.

My node is back up lol!
ia few pages back you stated about a firmware for the wrt54g is that a private firmware if not can i get link to location

The WRT54G is my backup Internet link-- nothing to do with the node.  If your question has nothing to do with the quoted node message and does have to do with using one as a hotspot client, then just Google "ddwrt wrt54gl" or "tomato wrt54gl" and choose a firmware that has the features you want/need and follow the instructions there.  Note, this is for the "L" [Linux] version which works well; the WRT-54G (not L) comes in different versions some of which work and some which don't.  I wouldn't go out of my way to buy a 54GL just to do this though-- there are far better routers for the job whose firmware projects are still maintained.  I just happened to have an old one sitting around collecting dust that I was able to put to use again.
Thanks but upon double checking mine is not a Linux  version i use a cisco EA 6500 that works as backup internet and wanted to make sure i had a back up  there was no hot spots when i purchased the wrt54g, again thanks.

I wonder how many competitor farms are funded by massive short term overpriced NH rentals...  I mean you can fire up you old miners and have a fresh fleet of new chips in no time.  Especially in China where power is cheaper and new asics are available early...  Not like you know what your mining or who you are paying.

An interesting note from my rentals spreadsheet:

I've been tracking the shift rewards distribution since March 8.  Even with the two early March bad blocks and this block included, here is what I'm showing for reward distribution over 862 shifts:

# of Rewards | Count Occurrence | % Occurence

0   11   1%
1   18   2%
2   50   6%
3   50   6%
4   121   14%
5   154   18%
6   150   17%
7   125   15%
8   67   8%
9   41   5%
10   42   5%
11   24   3%
12   9   1%

71% of shifts have been rewarded 5+ times (29% of shifts <5 times)
53% of shifts have been rewarded 6+ times (47% of shifts <6 times)
Average reward of all shifts is 5.79 (116%)

Even with bad luck included this pool is outstanding!

As I've mentioned before, melancon is our longest term miner ... and all with his own hardware.
Yay melancon Smiley

But wow - that last block was really close also, 100.2% share diff
Code:
[2016-04-05 06:24:36.444+10] BLOCK! ok Diff 100.2% (167125209627/166851513282.8) melancon Pool 824761542220.0 825G 494.31%

Edit: and some share stats for that block:
762 shares >= 1G

Network is 167G
461 share >= 1.67G
42 shares >= 16.7G
so both slightly on the low side, but not unexpected.

and 4 shares >= 100G including the block.
No stale blocks, and the closest of the 3 under the block was 150G (90% of network diff)

Edit2: and lastly the CDF for 494.310%:
Code:
0.98168436111127  400.000%  1 in 54.6
0.99286754654029  494.310%  1 in 140.2
Our last blocks above 400% was the pair 96 and 98 blocks ago, 489.468% and 687.034% so reasonable.
And the 100 block luck that includes all 3 > 400% blocks, is:
Code:
Last 100 Blocks	24.8days	101.2%	94.80%	95.18%	0.3239	105.07%
105% luck, so still looking good.

its good to see we can power through an almost 500% block in 27 hours.

That block would have taken ages just a couple months ago.

800,000,000,000 +

shares!

Now we need to unleash a shit ton of blocks  to pay off this rental!
