With growing support from leading companies such as Coinbase which are running various tests to evaluate the efficiency of Bitcoin Classic and the 2 megabyte Classic chain, it is highly likely that the Classic chain could co-exist with the core chain in the future. If this happens, wallet platforms and exchanges will support both chains and verify the transactions from the Core and Classic chains.

However, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong recently emphasized that historically, when a split chain occurred, the minority was eliminated in a matter of hours. Armstrong predicts that the same would happen for the Core chain if Classic becomes activated.

So what exactly does this mean? Is this related to F2Pool's hashrate jump recently? And our dryout?

Antpool, the largest mining pool, just mined their first #bitcoin classic blockhttps://blockchain.info/block/000000000000000006968c648240001fd7d856f9732646763225b084f72404eb … - classic officially in production

there are dozens of versions of bitcoin software, all of which are in production:

core will reject classic 2mb.   classic will accept core 1mb, can and does generate core 1mb block.
at the current pace, anyone tossing out a classic 2mb block will be the minority chain, and will be eliminated in a matter of hours.

i always wonder what kind of checks are in place.   if someone tosses out a rogue 2mb block, antpool is kind of screwed.

Haha!  Why would they want larger blocks?  The can't even fill the current block size!

This has more serious implications than mining empty blocks.

Yea what he talks about their is fine but thats not the way it happened, it was done with a fork and not the entire chain which has negative implications to core.

It may not be that big of a deal but I think Kano has to change the config of the pool for the increase in block size.

I think we will need a 100x increase in hash rates to keep up with the blocks

They don't realize that leaving during a slow block is the WORST you can do, unless you're getting out of mining for a longer period.
If you leave during a slow-streak, once your 5Nd catches up and we hit blocks, you will have literally mined for nothing and lose any chance to make up for the losses.

Funny how since the last long block we lost 10+PH of hashes.

It's a Pain (I'm down quite a lot myself) but have to push through this damn thing.

When their website works.  I checked a couple days ago and their price was over $1000.

I still can't figure out why someone would pay $800+ for an S7 on eBay when you can get a brand new one from Bitmain for less. When I ordered mine, it took less than a week to arrive here in the U.S. No problems with customs, etc. Very smooth and easy. You could probably do pretty well buying a bunch from Bitmain and turning them around on eBay.
Last s7 price I saw was $650 on bitmaintech

I haven't been able to load Bitmain's store page. Maybe some new miners coming?
