Looks to me, like we are giving birth to another evil twin here... on Monday then, we will have another blockparty.

.....juvia is visiting the ck solo pool during her shift to break this dry block spell.....

As far as I can remember since moving to Kano last Dec, never seen one, two massive red blocks like this before, hopefully an avalanche of blocks coming soon...
In 1913, the roulette wheel in Monte Carlo came up black 26 times in a row. A very long bad luck streak for those betting red. Probability is like that - you can get long runs of "bad" or "good" luck, but over time it evens out. Hopefully, that is the case here and not some other problem. I trust in Kano - if there is another problem, he'll find it.

Did everyone get paid for blocks 402342 (devil block) and 402347?
Not yet, either, but I'm sure it will be coming. I'n not concerned.

For sure later today! Its night time in australia and Kano needs to sleep well for the great support he gives here  Cool
Well ... I haven't gone to sleep yet Sad
I've been going through all the luck stats I have and also written some new scripts to give me luck stats on everyone that I can check.

The high CDF block, and as yet to be found block are probably annoying me as much as, if not more than anyone else, since I'm trying to actually find a cause, but of course it can also be just random.
The current Diff% being ~470%, adding the 2 previous, it's an average of ~394%
CDF[Erl] of that for 3 blocks with an average of 394% is:
http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=CDF%5BErlangDistribution%5B3%2C+3%5D%2C++3.94%5D
0.999392 which is not extremely impossible: 1 in 1645
and since that's 3 blocks, that's like once in ~4934 blocks
But yeah still pretty unlikely.

Anyway, having gone through the recent luck stats, I have found a few issues with smaller miners that I'm now building the older data stats from the start of the year so I can be more sure of the results.
Once I've done that I'll send out the 2 outstanding payouts in the next ~12 hours (it takes a while to generate the data from the older logs)

Edit: FYI I'm not talking about hundreds of BTC paid to miners doing the wrong thing, I'm looking at single digits at this point.

So, I mentioned last week I was gonna sell my S7 on eBay bc my elec costs are too high (still making couple bucks/day but worried about the upcoming having). I was hoping to get $700 (less the eBay & PayPal fees), so I'm happy it sold yesterday for $825. (Waiting for payment, so jury is still out on how this is gonna end - it's a longtime buyer with good reviews, so I'm hopeful).

I'm still mining here (my miner is johnboy21) until I get paid, so here's hoping we can break this logjam before I disconnect. Gonna go make a chicken omelate for breakfast  Wink

I was one of the bidders that ran up your price in the final minutes. If you decide to sell again, try posting here in the forum as ebay is very risky

No doubt, I got stuck with 2 bad Ebay bids from the same idiot user wasting my time.  The 10% Ebay and 3% Paypal fee is also ridiculous.  Selling on the forums, sometimes you get scammers and low ballers, but most of the times there are also many great folks who deserve the best deals.  Heck I sold over $25K worth of gears to mainly Kano members.  All of which have been super fair and very fast with payments.  This is why I always give Kano members the best prices and often throw in some freebies.  If you do sell on this forum, just make sure you use escrow unless it's someone you really trust.  Fortunately for me, all the guys I deal with have reputation much higher than the cost of the product so I never have to worry about escrow.   I owe all of my success to many of the guys on this forum so I often try to give back whenever I can here rather before Ebay.
I still have my EVGA 1600T power supply, so if I decide to sell that I will def come here first. It's great for hobby miners that only have 110/120volt service. I could have gone with the 1600G or P, but I wanted the most efficient unit I could get.

Go Big or Go Home.....
Yeah after Ebay/Paypal burned me of over $1500 And they tried to charge me 2x for the seller's fees (still ongoing with that) for the item returned to me deectively by the effing buyer, I will never deal with them again. Screw that source.

Thank you!! For sure, I would rather sell to one of you guys than via eBay. I'll remember that if I ever have any more mining hardware to sell.

We are all little guys whether you're at 5TH or 5000TH, as we're all at the mercy of the BIG GUY (Manufacturer) who is our biggest competitor.  It's like opening a retail store next to Walmart and you get your wholesale product from them.   They can easily shut us down by either increasing price, giving us less efficient product or worst case scenario, refuse to sell.  The only real winners are successful pool operators, but even they are at the mercy of the Vendors who have their own pools.  If the Vendor stop the  reselling business and mine for themselves only, there won't be anyone else mining at Kano for example.  This is why we need more competition in the hardware space, otherwise the Chinese dominance will be the end to decentralized mining.
We need some Bitcoin enthusiasts from Intel or Texas Instruments with ck & Kano philosophy about health of network to start an ASIC manufacturing company with the small miner in mind. Unfortunately, one can't manufacture ASIC chips from a startup in a garage.

BTW, I can't help but notice that this whole "home/hobby miner" and the "small business miner" industry reminds of of the earlier days of Internet providers. Back in 1999 I became interested in Bulletin Board Systems (AOL being the largest commercial one at the time) and there were lots a small BBS systems that guys were running out of their homes and making a few bucks. So I bought some equipment and software and started my own local BBS with local content, etc. it quickly became clear that I had to offer Internet access too. So I brought in a fractional T1 from a whole Internet provider and a fiber optic line from Verizon, started selling unlimited internet for $14.95 month. This was before cable modems, satellite, etc. I was using 28.8 modems and the new "fast" 56kb modems cam out, so I upgraded my equipment and kept going. I built the business to about 200 customers and was starting to turn a small monthly profit, but illness in the family forced me to shut everything down (sent my customers to another local provider - didn't even have time to sell). well in retrospect, there is no way I could stayed in business anyway, because once cable and other high speed internet came along, all the small guys went out of business - they just couldn't compete with the big guys.

This is what I'm seeing in btc mining. Big guys with millions of $$ are squeezing out the small guys. Who can compete with the likes of a BitFury data center? I hope I'm wrong, because the small guys are what keep the network healthy and widely distributed.

I apolgize if this is off topic or wrong forum for this discussion, but I just wanted to share that experience with the group.

Ok, back to cracking that stubborn block!

This is not a long term game as all the vendors selling you stuff are also mining which means they're also your biggest competitors.  Do you really think they will give you the best stuff right away if they can also make money mining at lower difficulties first?

Point taken - but of course I've always known that it's sorta like gambling, which is why I only use my "play money".  That said, it would be nice to make $75 or 100 per month for a year. Those who got into the game early have had a chance at a longer run. No regrets - it's fun!
