One of my miners went offline can't get access till tomorrow. This has happened 3-4 times. Anyone know what would cause a s5 to need a reboot after 4-5 days. Temps are 50's it's on a 1200watt psu running at 400. Upon arrival the fan will be spinning and look like its mining but it won't be. It will not ping or do anything till I restart it. It will also not be hot as its not mining
Never ran my s5's at 400.
Even 350 was pushing it for me.
The lack of fan shroud and only one fan was a big factor.
I needed remote pdu's to allow me to power cycle and get around the lockup scenario.

the s5 firmware is not as stable as the s3.
cron is not installed so you cant make a script to see if its online and hashing Sad

if it loses internet, mine almost always needs to be rebooted to find it again.. it just sits and beeps..

Yeah at worst it should only have affected anyone restarting/connecting a new miner.
I've now come to the conclusion that no one is very reliable Tongue
In this case it's a dead node at linode.

Free WSPU2 Token or real dollars
If anyone was having connection problems over the last half hour, they should be resolved now.
My main master DNS server is dead so I've switched over one of the slaves to master and all should be OK again.

All was and is ok with my U2 miner...it's a beast (lol) it mines only if it want.

Heh right now with the last 10 blocks, our block (960k) is bigger than all the others ... 390426 to 390435
However ... our block was only 54s after the previous block.

Of the last 10, only 2 where above 700k (706k and 844k) and the rest were under 400k

Just doing our part for the bitcoin network ... and doing it in style Smiley

Did this last block fit in your old block limit - or did your increase just recently accommodate this block?

As I posted before, old block limit was 888,888
New block limit is 988,888 as of (in the 1st post) 24-Dec-2015

Thanks - I did no know the old block limit was only 888,888.

So this block would not be Kano's if you had not increased if from 888,888 to 988,888 on 24 Dec to accommodate this block of 959,730 kB.

Nice work and very timely.

Cheers

Yeah Xmas day was a let down here - nothing at all in UTC+11 all Xmas day
- though 2am just after that was a lot of excitement with a block followed by a ddos Tongue

But this last block at least already made up for one of the 2 previous ones Smiley

I'm still learning how the luck/stats work for the amount of hash a pool has, but I figured there would be a few days where we would break the two block barrier since 1PH has been added to the pools hash rate...guess I still have a lot more to learn!

still a bit too soon for that.   daily block magic hash number at this difficulty is 4646TH.   2,1,0 will be common.

statistical daily two block hash is at about 9292TH.
three will be very unlikely without being a little closer to that.

i've seen, however, more chicken will offset these estimates by roughly 15%.

BOOM!!

~8,347,678,176   ~8.933%

Congrats hjry
