Poor impulse control.
Old is anything older than you, so I am never old.  Wink

In all seriousness, I am probably on the lower side of the old line. Depends on what the definition of old is.

Old is when you use a 56.6k modem handshake for your phone notification tone, and you'd way prefer it to be from a 9.6k modem because it would sound 'right'.

Old is when you did this on your parents analoge landline 2 wire copper phone connection:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acoustic_coupler

to e.g. use BBS's via X.25 /x.28 providing similar services as e.g. this forum does... just whithout mouse clickee and graphics... 300 bps max...

(there where Nets bigger and more interesting than Internet at that time Shocked)

I finally checked out your monitor...it is pretty cool!

Where can you access this, and is it good and safe to use ?

Yep, since almost a year no problem, even if you don't use it for a while (some months), just re-apply API, go.

Works like a charm.

Security: ?

Have 3 Tier FW chain, no whatever anything came from Zach...

Highly recommend !

Cheers

And who would want to buy an email list of a bunch of grumpy old miners anyway!

Hey, careful who you are calling grumpy!  Grin

Why does the truth hurt?!  Cheesy

I don't think I fall into the "old" category yet!

I can not comment on the safety of his site...other than I did register to check it out and I didn't run into anything that seemed unsafe.

Yes, it is safe, there is nothing I can do with any of the information provided. Your username is already public on the stats page on Kano.is, and your API key only provides the address to get your hashrate and workers from Kano.is.

I guess the only thing you are giving me is your email address, so I guess I could sell a list of emails to spammers  Wink

I have about 40 active users and tracking about 530 Ths, the current hashrate on CKPool is about 4850 THs. So about 11% of the hashrate and 14% of the pool users are using my site.

To all of you users of my site: Is anyone having any issues or see anything that would be unsafe? If you see anything that I should make safer let me know.

Signed up yesterday.  So far nothing jumps out as a problem.  And as you mentioned none of the information collected is usable to your advantage (outside of selling email lists Smiley)

If anyone happens to be the address miner
1cV14dNJmHd4NU55yuY9JU9NDToH4h8XH (that shows up on the stats page also)
One or more of your miners has the address wrong ... an 'x' on the front that needs to be removed.
Thanks for keeping an eye out sir. (not my miner)

Woke up this morning, one s7 had 69x
Rebooted, still sick, X's gone, 90% hwe
Cycled power still sick.
Lowered clock from 600 to 593 now fixed.
Running a teenie bit slower but running. Low hwe now.
Probably bring that one home for a once over
Seems like a psu problem.
Running kano of course.

the hash diff between the start of 5Nd and end, makes any forward estimate pretty grey.    good point.

confirmations coming in.   onward to the next block.

Based on the pool hash rate, easier to think hours.

Just repeating what has been said with do it yourself formulas.

Pools total block solving hash power in blocks per day = (rate * 86400 * 65535 / ( difficulty * 2^48 )

Hours to solve a block in Excel sheet for 5PH @ current difficulty "=24/(5000*1000*1000*1000*1000*86400*65535/(79102380900*POWER(2,48)))"

18.9 Hours.   Lucky if pool average less than that over 5 blocks.

Pay out is distributed over 5 blocks 20% each = 3.8 days

excel formula :: "=5/(5000*1000*1000*1000*1000*86400*65535/(79102380900*POWER(2,48)))"

One of these two number should show dynamically at the top  Wink

If you hash continuously you will see PPS like number on the fifth solved block.
If you stop you will get payout for through next 5 block, slowly diminishing, with the last one being 1/5 of the PPS.

20%,40%,60%,80%,100%,100%,100%.....(stop hashing), 80%, 60%, 40%, 20%
I added the 'ramp' time to the Help->Payouts page earlier.
Just fixed it now (it was displaying the days/hours wrong)
It's actually:
"The pool hash rate for the last day is roughly 4.94PHs which means the 5Nd 'ramp' is roughly 3days 23hrs"

However, since it is in no way guaranteed to be accurate, I don't want it in the main page header.

Also, the number of blocks isn't how you work it out since blocks don't appear every 100%
It is simply the 5Nd value and that's the only accurate value Smiley

--

Edit: and to show a good example of that inaccuracy Smiley
I just processed the payout for 388591
The actual payout range:
Elapsed Time   4d 8hr 6m 24s
and of course if you look on the Account->Rewards page it says that also: 104hr 6m 24s
The reason, well to get 5Nd shares it had to go back to when the hash rate wasn't 5PH
