Shazam,
why do you prefer 841 over S9?

Reliability. The 841's are also a little more versatile, as far as, adjusting the frequency. You can get a bit more performance/efficiency.  They are backed by a 2yr warranty, and if need be, replacing any parts is super easy. Plus Canaan supports Bitcoin and our Community. Great company. They've offered me a tour of their facility, and if I had the money to fly there, I would!!! Ha!!!

Yep, I now have all S9s and 841s.  My 841s all run at 13.5+ but draw less watts than any of my S9s.  The 841s are proving to be the most reliable machines in my farm just like the older Avalons were before I upgraded anything.  I would love to have all 841s if I could Grin

When I began promoting Kano Pool, back in February during the block of death, we were at about ~45PH/s. Needless to say, we've come ALONG way in a short time.

My goal is to keep ahead of the Difficulty, and achieve more frequent Rewards. Yes, the Rewards are a bit smaller. However, if we just stayed stagnant, the Difficulty would eventually cause the same thing, and the Rewards would be less frequent.

Whether or not I consider this a hobby, profitability is the end game. I would love to, and have been, adding to my hashrate. I'm currently in the process of getting another 841 for my collection. The key factor for being Profitable, for me, at this point is: Promoting and Recruiting more hashrate to the pool.

When I go to my job, I take the necessary equipment, for the task at hand. Here, our necessary equipment is HashPower. So, I have MY hashrate, but I'm looking for others to contribute to the overall. We can just fool ourselves and say, promoting is not my problem, but indeed it is. If we build it.....they will come!!!

Reward section always just showed one payout, but better to be safe than sorry and jump ahead of it now rather than later!

MINE ON WITH KANO-SAN!
Yeah the rewards is all OK, but I'm not 100% sure it will be all OK when it matures and when I process the actual payout.
Rather than check and see what happens, I thought it better to avoid any problem to start with - since I have to do it sooner or later anyway - and it avoids people asking about it when they see it on the web site Smiley
(and now it shows all the stats correctly also)

Not sure how this works but we've had six block since I began here. Nothing is showing in the wallet I pointed my account yet? Three of the blocks have matured and nothing shows. I'm only using one s3 while I wait for another power supply and the total reward is only 0.00012963 for all of it. am i being eaten up in fees?

Like others have said, you're below dust levels.
Since I've been running my slow "btc-heater" for a week it's now 'ramped up'.

On that last block it got a bit over 0.0003 BTC for 4.81THs

So dividing that by 3 (just for that block) the dust limit on that last block (0.0001) was ~1.6THs

As mentioned - dust payouts will have to wait until I complete the accounting code.
KDB Restart

Sorry to spring it on everyone suddenly, but while processing the payout I've thought of a few possible (but unlikely) problems that could come of having 2 blocks instead of one when doing the payouts.
So I need to restart it now so I have enough time to fix any problems, if any do show up after the restart (though I don't expect any)

Mining will be unaffected.

Web site will show lotsa zeros and '?'s while restarting.

Mine on!

Edit: completed at 04:34:31 UTC - all OK

I know you didn't post that for a pat on the back, but we appreciate the hard work you've put into the promoting. Thanks, Shazam!!!
...My point is, WE as a whole group, can achieve more together. Everyone who has a banner on the forum, is setting an example. Sure, it's just a simple little object, but thousands of people visit this forum hourly. Just putting the name Kano, in someone's mind, causes familiarity. When they see it somewhere else, it causes their mind to remember where, and why, they saw it before. When this happens, it makes people want to research Kano's Pool.

Cause+Effect=Mission Accomplished.

Imagine, how far WE could have this effect on other platforms. As Bitcoin becomes more popular, more and more people, are looking for information about every aspect of it. WE need to "corner the market" so to say. Even if people are not miners, they can suggest what they've seen, to those who are miners, or possibly publish something positive about Kano's Pool. As we all know, in the world of Bitcoin, people can be somewhat boastful about what they know. The want everyone to know, that they know, and that can be a useful tool for promotion...
Is there such a thing as an Economic Psychology degree? If so, you, sir, should have enough credits for it. Grin

Welcome new Members!!!

I did go back the last 50 pages and now I think everyone starting here should do the same thanks Shazam  Smiley

I came here because of reddit I am not sure if I read your comment but if I have thanks for that as well.

You do realize that there is a mistake, the pool can't hit the same block twice. We have hit 21 Blocks, not 22.
Mine On With KANO-SAN, Kano Pool, The Best Bitcoin Mining Pool on Earth!!
Yes KDB logged the same block twice.

It's to do with the fact that KDB always sees each block twice (since I changed it last year) - once from the block record from the pool software and once from it's own calculations after it gets the share from the pool software.
Normally it sees that it already had it, but in this case KDB was faster than the pool and it ended up in the ram table twice.
I'll add it to the todo list to fix that bug Smiley

The disk DB can't store exactly the same block twice so it rejected the duplicate records.
A KDB restart will fix it later - it calculates all the block stats from the data, they're not stored in the disk DB - but until then the stats will show incorrectly.

I dont know with most of you, but i dont mine for fun only. I'd like to make a profit out of it as well. Its a very nice hobby, but i would like to earn a few bucks as well. Apparently to some that is highly strange...
And some of us have committed to this as our primary source of income to feed our families.  It stopped being a hobby for me about 7 months ago when I made that committment.
OT, but how in the world do you convert BTC easily enough on a regular basis to pay all your bills and living expenses?!

P.S. - You're my hero...

Welcome!!! If you're curious about ANYTHING, go back through the last 50-100 pages. I'm sure every possible question has been answered. If it hasn't, ask, and someone will eventually know the answers.  Smiley

Since my Twitter is still locked up, I focused more attention to other platforms. Found that reddit is full of keyboard warriors and bottom dwelling trolls!!! Note to self: find a middle finger emoji Cheesy

I've been doing Great on instagram this week though. I ran into our member selfblumpkin, and he's getting his gear set back up from his move. Until it's ready, his colo is going to be providing him with HashPower. Goodluck to him!!!

Also, I touched base with a few mid size miners, who are considering joining Kano's Pool.

In closing, C'mon bust that BTClock!!!
