It's excellent if one thought it was December 2015; like I did.

No I'm wondering why block halving in general would be considered good news? We would be getting less per block found, and theres absolutely no guarantee price will go up

Pool luck has been very good recently, but of course this has to change at times. This pool currently shows 3,488THs ... by comparison look at BitMinters luck over the last week. They have roughly half the hash rate, and the last six blocks average 4+ days to 50 minutes.

i.e. 1/4 of blocks should be longer than that ... however we have less than 1/4 longer than that
