But isn't that a meaningless number?  You need to know what the price is when you convert to USD.  You have to do that on one of the exchanges, because Kano doesn't speak USD (nor do we want him to).

Well, if you do your taxes the way my CPA told me, you're supposed to recognize mining income the moment it's generated to your wallet. The conversion to USD is meaningless.

1 BTC = 1 BTC

Just use the income tax % on the total amount of bitcoin, send that to the IRS Smiley

Or, you could live in a jurisdiction that doesn't tax capital gains...

Thanx Kano!!! I was receiving alerts, saw the website was down, and instantly knew you'd be a busy fella.

Just a thought here about the new accounting page:

Is there any chance you could write a code/script that could, show the price of Bitcoin at the time of a reward payout? This feature
would certainly be helpful, for those of us who need to have a date with Uncle Sam! Ha!

All back up again finally - at 9:05 UTC

When KDB came back up, no stats were getting to it from ckpool - then ckpool deadlocked itself and crashed.
This of course meant a failover to your backup pools, then fail-back would have started at 9:05 UTC

This cleared up all the remaining problems since both KDB and ckpool had now restarted - and now all is going ok finally.

For those of you who have Solo as your third pool, which Solo service are you using?

Oh, I also forgot to point out, I removed the Payments page.
It's just a copy of data from the Rewards page and has never shown any extra useful information other than your address, which you should know Smiley, but it does show payouts that didn't get sent due to dust.

When I complete the accounting code, the new Payments page will shows each actual Bitcoin payout, from the blockchain, that you've received and the transaction it is in, so it will match what your wallet says you got - and thus that also is how I will have a correct balance for each account and be able to make non-block based payouts for smaller miners, and do a bunch of large payouts to clean up everyone's unpaid balance.

Carl, aka Sonny :)
Just checked and all my miners are still happily hashing away on the pool. Grin

So I can relax and go make that second cup of Sunday morning coffee.
Yeah sorry about that - but I'm gonna ruin your coffee again.

I have to restart KDB once more.
The initial problem that started the whole set of restarts happened as a shift was being processed.
Unfortunately the shift state said it needed to be fixed back on the first reboot (and I saw that on the console) but alas with the repeated failures it got skipped over after that.
I've rolled the shifts in the storage DB back to "a2nob belldandy" and the next KDB restart will reprocess everything from then on again.
You'll notice your "charlotte" shift is empty at the moment.

Sorry about that - another KDB restart about to run in the next minute.
All back up again finally - at 9:05 UTC
