Hi Kano - the transaction didn’t seem to come though with the pools block confirm.

It’s alright though, it was a nice gesture all the same. I’d prefer you don’t go out of your way to fix it. You do enough for the pool and especially the community, as it is. If everyone in bitcoin was like you we’d already been to the moon and back 5 timez.

I’m such a goddamn nerd. When I read that I actually solved a bitcoin block, in 2018, I nerded all over the place. Then when I saw my solve was 1.3T higher than current difficulty I practically shit my pants. I told my few BTC savvy friends, made a Facebook post that no one understood, cared about or even simply acknowledged. There’s about 10 replies to it, all from me, mostly related to how rare and difficult is to claim a block.

Couldn’t be happier to have solved it for your pool rather than one owned by that asshole Jihan. Don’t get me wrong, I have incredible respect for the engineering marvel that is the S9, but I wish his business practices were more in line with taking bettering the coin and community. Show me one bitcointalk thread wheee Jihan interacts with one of his pool miner. That’s a major contributor to your awesomeness

s there any chance of adding merged-mining to this?

If someone needs bitcoin cache (BCH) then you can always make an exchange directly in the purse (blockchain info), and create a pool for the sake of the Chinese "brothers" it seems to me that this is a waste of time and nerves )))

... and apparently someone is sending a Dragon T1 to me also.

As for BitCH coin ... well unfortunately it does have a reason for people to want to get them, and that is to buy Bitmain miners.
I'm completely against altcoins coz they're all scams and BitCH coin exists as a scam also
However, I've not completely counted out doing that since, of course, there's a big % of Bitmain miners on the pool.
Anyway, it's not something I'll discuss, since it's not something I'd really want to do, but it may be helpful for miners on the pool, so it's not a definite no either.

Someone here is getting a Dragon and offered to point it at Kano.is testing pool so he can test out the changes needed - it's a few pages back in the thread.

So Kano pool should get ASIC boost support, eventually

I think the stand here is...no altcoins.

I dont know what the reward is, but it doesn't matter. a pool owner/operator that spends this much time in his forums, answering member questions, doing little fun giveaways, THIS is why i came to your pool.

I'd love to ask him what the electrical bill is in a month.

Thats about 3110 S9's @ 1100 kWh per month = 3 421 000 kWh   at my rates thatw ould be about 240 000.00 a month.

But then at 40 % of each block reward... 5.2 BTC per block  thats only 4 or 5 blocks to be found to pay for the electricity...

OK, SO the math works, Lets the rest of us buy more S9's!

But how many of them Bitcoin USB sticks would that be?  Maybe Kano is bringing out his old collection of them? :-)

Man just when I thought Sidewinder was out of miners. Hot dam! It wasn’t that long ago the pool hash rate was equal to his hash rate alone.

Thanks for providing an alternative. Looks like I'll have to do some research on Core.

Last question: Would your suggested method be compatible with the Ledger HW.1 that I just ordered, or should I just keep mining to my paper wallet and periodically sweep everything into Core when I'm ready to do some transactions?

I don’t use anything advanced. I simply downloaded the IOS app called CKPool. Logged in using my username and APIkey and it shows my miners status, hashrate and if a block is found, I get a notification.
