And here I was, getting excited because I can FINALLY afford 2 more th/s.  :/

Hey, don't feel bad. It took a long time and progressively moving up the corporate ladder before I could afford to have silly and addictive hobbies like mining.

I don't feel bad about it ... I'm actually stoked that I can afford the gear. If nothing else, I get more dust.  See my sig.    Grin

Sorry, but I couldn't do it that easily/simply. I would LIKE an S4 (or two), I'm piecing together slightly more odd gear ... 'cuz I'm odd and apparently a glutton for punishment.  Tongue

What are the chances of us cracking over 30 blocks again without getting more hashing power here? Smiley
Just about the same as smelling a fart in a wind storm.

If everybody went out and bought just one more new miner we would add about 20 PH to the pool.

I got 7 more on the way. Who else is in?

I added a few more and am looking to add around 100 th/s more by the summer.

Linux since 1997 RedHat 4

Time? Nope - the first block ever found on the pool was pretty slow coz the pool was tiny.
It was also lucky (less than 100%)

However, Diff% is what matters for rewards, and this one is 542% at the moment.

The 2 largest are there on the Web site Blocks page at the end of October - the largest being 928.788%

Now for that CDF related number Smiley
0.99557285335217  542.000%  1 in 225.9
i.e. we expect to average, over time, 1 in 225.9 blocks to be over 542%

Out of curiosity what is the actual number of blocks over 542% since the beginning of the pool? Including the block we're on now we have 4 out of the last 88 listed on the blocks page (or 1 in 22).
I only have the stats from when I first joined. But since block 141, we have had 10 blocks 500% or greater. That number doesn't include orphan blocks.

Thanks. That's pretty incredible. That's 10 out of about 2063 or 1 in 206.3. According to the tables Kano has posted before the CDF tells us that we should expect 1 in 148 over 500%. So at least going back to the pool's 141st block we are quite a bit better than that.

Well it's actually a lot simpler than that Smiley

The catch with looking at a single CDF line is that the data won't match exactly what's expected.
While we expect to average 1 in 225.9 blocks to be over 542% - it doesn't mean we'll have exactly one every 225.9 blocks.
Over a very large number of blocks (10's or 100's of thousands) you'd expect it to get close to 1 in 225.9

But if we note that the whole point of the CDF probabilities is adding up the area under the bell shaped curve and coming out with an long term expected average of 100%,
then you just need to check the longer term averages ... and yep they're around 100% - so that's all good Smiley

I added one a few weeks ago, and will grab one more by ditching my BitCH coin from the forkup as soon as possible!  Cheesy

Hello
I have had my S9 pointed at the 333 stratum for 14 days and have not recieved a payout.

Under workers it shows I have shares and share/hash rate.

Does it normally take this long on a payout or am I doing something wrong?

Help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

can probably avoid allot of frustrated responses (see we get the same question asked quite often), by reading through this
https://kano.is/index.php?k=payout

but bottom line, just like any other pool, no-one gets paid until a block is found and it just happens that we have a very tough window with no blocks, something like 20+ days.  I suppose you would say we are having bad luck but those that have been here for a while, will just wait patiently because that *luck* if you want to call it that, will change.

Funny thing is I'm one of the newbies.  Got here day before the last block, but now I'm just so darn curious what will happen, and I'm already fully ramped, that why move, curiosity sucked me in
