Time? Nope - the first block ever found on the pool was pretty slow coz the pool was tiny.
It was also lucky (less than 100%)

However, Diff% is what matters for rewards, and this one is 542% at the moment.

The 2 largest are there on the Web site Blocks page at the end of October - the largest being 928.788%

Now for that CDF related number Smiley
0.99557285335217  542.000%  1 in 225.9
i.e. we expect to average, over time, 1 in 225.9 blocks to be over 542%

Out of curiosity what is the actual number of blocks over 542% since the beginning of the pool? Including the block we're on now we have 4 out of the last 88 listed on the blocks page (or 1 in 22).
I only have the stats from when I first joined. But since block 141, we have had 10 blocks 500% or greater. That number doesn't include orphan blocks.

Can someone tell me what the advantage of the Antminer V9, 4TH/s is?
Looking at the specs,

Antminer V9, 4TH/s       253mJ/MH+10%
Antminer S9, 13.5TH/s  0.098 J/GH +10%

Can someone standardize those specs for me?

The V9 is basically a re-branded S7. Unless you have free power, you should avoid it.

The V9's efficiency is 0.257 J/GH +10%, not even in the same ballpark as the S9 with 0.098 J/GH +10%.  Notice how they went with a different set of units so you couldn't do a direct comparison?

To be fair, the V9 isn't supposed to compare with an S9. If you're talking all out efficiency, the S9 takes the cake.....and is priced accordingly at almost 8x the initial cost. ROI should also be taken into account, not just power consumption.

The cost of electricity for different areas as well and may not be as big of a factor for some, if any at all (solar).

Also, don't rule out the reward price in BTC at market value.

My main point is that we all mine at different levels with different factors involved so it's really hard to pinpoint what would/would not work for someone's situation without a better picture of what they were comparing or trying to achieve.

If you were to compare

To be fair, I was just answering @Tnaa97 request to standardize those specs.

To be fair, it was a general statement, not necessarily in response to your comment. I was just responding in a chain, not specific to your quote. We are in agreement on apples to oranges comparison   Smiley

So is the T9+ the most efficient at  136mJ/GH+7%?

Thanks Everyone.

Still intrigued by Diff & Share--namely on the Workers>Shifts page...

First, I get that Shares * Avg Share (or Stratum Difficulty, right?) = Diff.

Example (from my humble 3.5THs Avalon6):
Your Diff__Diff__Avg Hs__Shares__Avg Share
2.552M___0____3.61THs_950____2,686.00
2.549M___0____3.69THs_622____4,098.00

By adjusting the Stratum Difficulty to keep the Shares at ~18/min, it just seems like multiple ways to get to a similar Diff.

My multi-part question is:
1a. What benefit is there to setting a higher vs. lower Stratum Difficulty if we are paid per Share?
1b. Wouldn't we want our Stratum Difficulty to be lower and, hence, get more Shares?
2a. Or, are we paid per Diff instead--almost like how it sounds according to the fine print* at the bottom of the Workers>Shifts page?
2b. Has anyone else ever scrolled down this far, or is there an award for finding this Easter egg?

*The Rewarded value unit is satoshis per 1000diff share.

he answered a question he thought was asked... maybe it wasn't what you asked, but I certainty didn't see a smart ass response in it.

You don't think the "pretty easy to do" comment was being a smart ass?

Regardless we are all on the same team so it's good to keep things civil and relaxed here Grin

subtract the last block we found from the last block found on the website.   Pretty easy to do.

2834 blocks as of right now.

careful, because most of us just read your response in the same way.

I think he just misunderstood your question. It would be interesting to see a break down of the block times since the beginning. Maybe we are due for an extended streak of 25% blocks.  Wink

The V9 is basically a re-branded S7. Unless you have free power, you should avoid it. The theory I saw is that Bitmain is trying to get rid of their internal mining capacity due to the government crackdown in China, so they're selling them off.

Didn't we used to sacrifice anime characters when blocks got long?  Maybe we need to go back to that...

Has anyone tried the Mudokon chant on these blocks yet? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNgd8TeFp0Y
