I have another 15TH sitting here waiting for the electrician to up my service. Even thinking of getting a couple of A841´s to add to the small farm. Grin

The pool has grown almost 50% since the beginning of the month (30 PH to 45 PH), so that is a good sign to stay around the 3 day block luck average, even after the next difficulty increase tonight.

if just half the users at the pool add 20Th we'll gain another 16PH which will make it a full double from 30PH!

I'll be adding 23TH in the next few weeks.  Smiley

I'm in MO USA with 8 cent electric. Have access to a warehouse, and thinking of starting a host site. To make it worth it we would need a few miners. I'm supposed to hear back from some people in the next week. I will keep you all updated if we get something going. If you were serious and wanted to meet and great that could be arranged. Mine on

Once more and more people do the pool hopping around like I did, and realize how much better it is to be here instead of what the bigger pools do to the "little guy", it will hopefully grow at a bigger rate as more and more blocks are found.

ok ... have been trying to interpret some of the previous posts ... apologies for the fast fingers on my most recent one ....

if i add more hashrate to my group (i.e. adding 7 other S9 workers to my account) .. will that help me ramp faster? or each worker will need to ramp on its own?

While the S9's each ramp up separately, you would be producing more total shares as they ramp up and earn more per block found as well. The ramping up may seem like a hurdle, but you have to remember there is always a "ramp down" period that is equal to the ramp up period. If you ever move machines or unplug them, you get rewards from blocks found after that even when you don't have your hashrate in the pool at the time.

Well, I will be adding 68TH in the next 2-3 weeks. As soon as I find a host Sad

Each worker 'ramps' on its own.  Think # of shares instead of time and it makes more sense!

Quick question for miners on Kano.is ...

I pointed 1 of my new S9s to Kano ..to try out this pool.  I get that it takes 5 days to ramp ... but for some reason, i only got 1 reward so far (on my 2nd day only), at 0.00100987 btc.  day 3, 4 and 5 I had zero reward/payout.

Can someone elaborate why this is the case?  I thought it would ramp consistently, and get sequentially more each day over the 1st 5 days.

At the current rate, if this persists, i'm not gonna point my other S9s ... cos im getting pretty consistent 0.0018 on slushpool and 0.002 on antpool per S9.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I should start a website and guarantee miners payouts per day. Then take the hash power and point it here and bank on the difference.

I just joined the pool, but I think that is the problem that will keep it from growing. People seem to think that because they get paid more, they are making more money. Also, the 15 day ramp up as well. Too many don't do their research and want instant gratification.

It takes about 15 days to ramp up. You'll only get paid when we find a block.

It takes 15ish days to ramp, check the help/payouts section or read the last 30 pages, its all covered. It's been 63hrs since our last block, does that coincide with you not getting paid?

Finally, the replacement miner for poor, departed R4B4 has arrived in the ice mines at Hoth.  Took so long after multiple delays I hate to even think about it, but at least I've increased my hashrate by 50% so that's a plus.  Wink
Mine on!  Cool

There's always a silver lining! Good job! Cheesy

I have 3 S7s that are in varying stages of swan songs that I'm trying to replace.  My hosting site is full so I can only replace; can't add new until they have expanded their capacity.  One of these S7s will be replaced in early February and I can't wait.  I can't seem to buy anything anymore so I don't know if I'll ever be able to replace the other 2.
That's my issue. I've got three S7s with them, all of which are still running OK, but I'd like to replace them with A8s...after I sell my second truck to pay for them. It's ludicrous.

It would be nice to get another block before the diff change.

Mine on!

Got an estimated on the next change?

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

That estimate is incorrect we are already at 2.23 T difficulty and looks like we are probably going to add another 15%. Looks like it should change in 17 hours or so. I used to trust the numbers at btc.com but not sure I do at this point, they have been having some issues lately.

all the S9's are going to just crumble and diff will halve   Grin

I'm hoping for 16% or less increase at this point by tonight's adjustment.  A lot of hashrate was pointed other places and/or shut down yesterday to stop the pace from reaching a 20%+ increase.  I was already hoping for it to slow down from this last 15% increase but a ton of power and machines have been pointing at BTC the whole time, since all coins have been down in price and there wasn't anywhere else to go this past 10-12 days for SHA-256.

Just checked the fans in my two S9´s and both exhaust fans are connected to the FAN5 connector. No problems at the moment with the fans ramping up and down.
I have one S9 and the fans do cycle up and down.   They seem to be on a 13 second interval, and depending chip temperature, it either ramp up, down or stays the same.

Mine are currently cycling between 3 speeds:

Low:  Fan3=3120, Fan6=4440
Medium:  Fan3=3360, Fan6=4800
High: Fan3=4560, Fan6=6240

Typically it spends 2 cycles (26 seconds) in low, 1 cycle (13 seconds) in medium, and 2 cycles in high (26 seconds).

I have also noticed when I decrease the intake air temperature it decreases the speeds of the Low/Medium/High, most likely because the chip temperature is lower.  Right now my intake air temperature is 24° Celsius, and the exhaust air temperature is 36° Celsius, and when the chip temperature exceeds 74° Celsius, it jumps to medium fan speed, and at or above 76° Celsius, it jumps to high fan speed.

As to what connector they are plugged in to, if I face the S9 from the air intake side (so the controller board is farthest away from me) then the power connector on the left (closest to the edge of the device) goes back to the air intake fan and the power connector on the right (closest to the middle of the board) goes to the air exhaust fan.
